Kronisk Obstruktiv Lungsjukdom (KOL) är en av de vanligaste lungsjukdomarna i Sverige. En konstant nedsatt lungkapacitet kan påverka utförandet av aktiviteter. Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka möjligheter, begränsningar och förändringar i aktiviteter i det dagliga livet (adl) hos personer med KOL. Vid insamling av information användes enkät. Deltagarantalet i studien uppgick till 144 personer och resultatet visade att nästan hälften av undersökningspersonerna utförde aktiviteter i det dagliga livet i långsammare tempo än innan insjuknandet.

The purpose of this master's thesis is to evaluate whether it is feasible to use the panchromatic band of Landsat 7 in order to improve the spatial resolution of colour images. The images are to be used as texture in visual databases for flight simulators and for this reason it is important that the fusion preserves natural colours.A number of methods for fusing panchromatic and multispectral images are discussed. Four of them are implemented and evaluated. The result is that standard methods such as HSI substitution are not suitable for this purpose since they do not preserve natural colours. However, if only high frequencies of the panchromatic image are used the resolution can be improved without noticeable colour distortion..

Sexual function in men with Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) is usually affected to a greater or lesser extent, depending on the type of injury and physiological prerequisites. Social contexts and psychological factors are other aspects that affect sexual function. Sexual dysfunction can lead to an impaired quality of life, depression and other illnesses. Aim: To study reported experiences of sexual function in men with SCI who have participated in The Nordic Spinal Injury Registry (NSCIR) five years follow-up. Design: Quantitative method consisting of a register study based on secondary data.

Background: Good quality of communication has a significant role and is essential in the care, and there are many factors that have an impact on the communication between nurse and patient. It is important that the interaction and communication is directed to and focused on understanding in broad sense in order to make sure that the meeting between nurse and care taker will result in something positive. Through a greater understanding the cooperation between nurse and the patient will be facilitated, which will create opportunities for both sides to be part of and contribute to a meaningful rehabilitation.Purpose: The aim of the study is to describe how the elderly patient and the nurse experience the communication within the health care, however also to identify what factors that are essential for an optimal communication.2Method: In this study the method that has been chosen is metasynthesis. The metasynthesis method implies that qualitative studies, that illustrate elderly patients and nurses perceptions and experiences of communication within health care, have systematically been reviewed and compiled to a result.Result: The analysis of the study?s results in a composition that consist of the following three themes; the patients and the nurses perspective on how information should be conveyed, the role of the time aspect in communication and the impact of the attitude on communication.

Den Konduktiva Pedagogiken är ett kombinerat terapeutisk och pedagogiskt rehabiliteringsprogram som riktar sig till alla människor som har någon form av rörelsehinder som till exempel Cerebral Pares. Den Konduktiva Pedagogiken har funnits i Sverige i över tio år. Trots metodens framsteg i aktivitet och självständighet och trots metodens effektivitet när det gäller delaktighet hos barn och vuxna med Cerebral Pares har den inte fått någon framträdande position i Sverige. Studiens syfte var att studera den Konduktiva Pedagogikens möjligheter till ökad aktivitet, självständighet och delaktighet hos barn med rörelsehinder utifrån arbetsterapeutiska grundantaganden. Resultatet visade att samtliga deltagare hade förbättrat sin aktivitetsförmåga, självständighet och delaktighet genom sin träning enligt den Konduktiva Pedagogiken.

The financial sector is an important part of the infrastructure. As a consequence of deregulations on the financial market, several new actors have entered the market. This has made it even more important for banks to identify the factors that are decisive when customers chose a bank. The purpose of this thesis was to clarify which factors that are decisive to students choice of bank. A survey was performed among students at Luleå University of Technology.

Svenska Lantmännen är en av Sveriges största koncerner inom lantbruks- och livsmedelsindustrin. Lantmännen lantbruk består bl.a. av en foderdivision vars huvudsyfte är att förse de svenska lantbrukarna med djurfoder. Denna rapport syftar till att presentera förslag på hur en ökad produktivitet, effektivitet och driftsäkerhet vid foderfabriken i Norrköping kan uppnås. Arbetet har resulterat i flera förbättringsförslag som direkt medför en ökad produktion och driftsäkerhet.

Vår yrkesmässiga erfarenhet som hälsopedagoger har fått oss intresserade av att undersöka den pedagogiska aspekten av det lärande som rehabiliteringsdeltagare gör som hälsobefrämjande aktivitet i samband med en arbetslivsinriktad rygg- och nackrehabilitering vid Svenska Rygginstitutet AB. Syftet med studien är att undersöka om och i så fall på vilket sätt en arbetslivsinriktad rygg- och nackrehabilitering bidrar till deltagarens lärande, insikter och befrämjande av hälsa. Fyra deltagare som genomgått en sådan rehabilitering intervjuades. Intervjuerna spelades in och transkriberades för vidare analys utifrån kvalitativ narrativ metod. Undersökningens resultat visar att upplägg där aktivt lärande betonas och informationsförmedling samt reflektion varvas med att praktiskt få prova på och erfara, gör förvärvande av såväl nya insikter och kunskaper som ökad förståelse möjligt och tillgängligt.

Unfortunately, there aremany digital books that loose the story, as the creator gets lost in technology and/or ineducation and morals.

The purpose of this study is to explain how shame can be experienced by women with the stigmatizing illness of alcoholism. Another aim is to illustrate how this shame can be affected in social interaction with others and by other circumstances. The following questions will be highlighted in this essay: How can shame be experienced by female alcoholics? What can affect shame in interaction with other people, from the view of female alcoholics? What other circumstances can affect the shame, from the view of female alcoholics?This study features interviews with women who have successfully gone through the process of rehabilitation from the illness of alcoholism, have a long going and stable sobriety and arecurrently part of the work force. The study also features interviews with therapists specializing in the field of addiction recovery and have considerable experience in their fieldof working with women suffering from alcoholism.The subject matters shame and stigma form the theoretical/analytical tools for this research.

The goal of this project was to implement and compare Invere Discrete Cosine Transform using three methods i.e. by bit parallel, digit serial and bit serial. This application describes a one dimensional Discrete Cosine Transform by bit prallel method and has been implemented by 0.35 ìm technology. When implementing a design, there are several considerations like word length etc. were taken into account.

Syftet med denna studie var att beskriva arbetsterapeuters erfarenheter av hemrehabilitering för vuxna med kognitiva funktionsnedsättningar efter förvärvad hjärnskada. I studien deltog tolv arbetsterapeuter med minst ett års erfarenhet av hemrehabilitering, verksamma inom kommuner och landsting i södra och mellersta Sverige. Data samlades in genom semistrukturerade intervjuer med stöd av frågeguide. Det insamlade materialet analyserades med en kvalitativ innehållsanalys och utmynnade i tre kategorier: ?Erfarenheter av att se svårigheter i vardagen?, ?Erfarenheter av att möjliggöra delaktighet i vardagen? och ?Erfarenheter av samarbetets betydelse?.

At Sandvik Materials Technology, Argon gas is used as furnace atmosphere when heattreating hot rolled wire. Upon heating chromium steel wire, a rich oxidelayer forms on the wire surface. The abstract of this masters thesis is to enhance the understanding of the constitution of the oxidelayers and the influence of the furnace atmosphere. This will be achieved by performing a number of annealing experiments on laboratory level. Also, the aim is to understand the chemical reactions and physical mecanisms controlling the pickling process.

Detta kandidatarbete ämnar till att ta reda på om eller hur det går att applicera teorier om användbarhet på en webbplats. För att ta reda på detta togs ett koncept på en dynamisk webbplats fram, i form av wireframes, under tre iterationer med hjälp av en iterativ designprocess. Varje iteration avslutades med en heuristisk utvärdering baserad på ett antal riktlinjer som framställts genom en genomgång av litteratur om användbarhetsprinciper. I undersökningen framkommer det att med ett bra urval av riktlinjer samt en förståelse för de användbarhetsproblem som riktlinjerna visar på, kan teorier om användbarhet appliceras på en webbplats för att göra den användbar..
