The purpose of this thesis was to trace and discuss tendencies in the debate of the computerization of the libraries, in Swedish library press during the period of 1970-1999. The set-out was the issue of how the library journals, as representatives and mouthpieces of a by tradition humanistic profession, coped with a revolutionary innovation related to a field (data technology) which they hadn't any knowledge or even interest in. The examination included three Swedish library journals: Biblioteksbladet with connection to Sweden?s most established library organization (SAB); Bis which is founded upon a socialistic base and; DIK-forum rooted in the union. The analysis of the debate was partly based on three different sets of values related to data and systems development.

The purpose of this article is to investigate how and from which sources librarians collect information on their profession with respect to factors that are important for their work. In order to achieve this goal, a questionnaire-based survey will be conducted at three medium-sized central-public-libraries in southern Sweden. Using this survey, I wish to answer the following four questions: To what extent do librarians acquaint themselves with changes and developments within regional and cultural policy arenas important to their work? To what extent do librarians acquaint themselves with information using conferences and library debates that are focussed on changes and developments relevant to their work? Do librarians consider that they have enough time within the limits of their work hours to follow developments within the librarian profession, for example with respect to developments within information technology, and how would they appraise the future demand for information technology-based services at the library? From which source(s) do librarians collect information relevant to their work? The theoretical basis of this paper can be compared to a radar as it scans subjects-of-interest to the organization in the field of business intelligence. This investigation uses a quantitative method, with data collected via a survey consisting of 13 questions.

Stroke are a common disease and it comes with big chances of disability after rehabilitation. Life after stroke can bring a different lifestyle and lots of feelings around this situation. Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze how people feel after being injured with stroke. Method: We have assumed that studying qualitative research articles according to Evans description of content analysis. Information has been sought in the databases Cinahl, PubMed and Discovery Results: The study results in four themes; Loneliness, trust, Despair and obstacles to health.

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to examine the process of overtraining syndrome as a part of development in sports and careers. It is based on theories about overtraining syndrome and athlete career transitions. The intention was to find patterns that illustrate critical factors in the athlete career for overtraining syndrome to occur, but also for preventing overtraining syndrome to emerge and for rehabilitation.The Informant was a 19 years old man who had completed his studies at a Swedish sports-?gymnasium?. Two semi structured interviews were made, the second as a following up interview.

The purpose of the project was to make a system that could extract data from a mobile eye tracker and make it comparable with data from visual stimuli. The produced system was programmed in Java and provided all the necessary parts that were required to achieve the purpose. This provides a foundation for further research to determine whether the eye tracker is sufficiently accurate to diagnose Parkinson?s disease..

Today?s society is very focused around technology and something that is very popular is the usage of mobile devices such as Smartphones or Tablet computers. One of the reasons why these devices are so popular, is because of the large amounts of services or ?apps? that they can provide for the user. They can do a lot of things that makes everyday living easier for the users.The focus of this study is to find out what kinds of mobile services the users of these devices are expecting and/or wishes to see in the future and what is required to be able to develop and use these services in a good way.We started of the study by searching for earlier studies on the same or similar subjects.

Den arbetsterapeutiska dokumentationen är viktigt för att förklara arbetsterapi, stödja den arbetsterapeutiska behandlingen, kvalitetssäkring, forskning och samverkan. Tidigare studier har visat på bristfällig dokumentation, speciellt inom socialpsykiatrin, samt att dokumentation kan upplevas som problematisk. Syftet med denna studie var att genom en fokusgruppintervju undersöka hur arbetsterapeuter verksamma inom socialpsykiatri upplever dokumentationen, samt vilka faktorer som påverka densamma. Tre arbetsterapeuter deltog i studien.

Information Technology (IT) makes it possible to electronically distribute data between actorswho are in geographically diverse areas. Nowadays, information is sent less frequently throughtraditional correspondence in favor of faster electronic equivalents via the internet.Despite effective IT environmentand secure encryption techniques choose some actors to sendinformation through physical delivery. This phenomenon occurs in those working withconfidential information as it is handled by a number of rules and safety regulations.Based on a set of rules and requirements, we have looked over the possibility of sending sensitiveinformation electronically over the internet. The aim was to find general guidelines for howcompanies and organizations should manage and send sensitive information over insecurenetworks. This led us to our research question: How can information be exchanged betweenactors in geographically diverse areas be categorized and encrypted so that it can be transportedover the internet without security or integrity deficiencies?To answer the question, there was a case study at a defense company.

This report brings up the main issues that a company needs to regulate today.The standard for regulations and proposals for IT-security comes in a document called ISO 17799 and very complicated for those who are not experts in the field.

This study attempts to explore how schools? handles and prevents cyber-bullying among pupils. The purpose in this study was to investigate how the school staffs work in secondary schools with grades sixth to ninth. How do the schools discover, prevent and stop cyber-bullying? Do the schools? have any experiences of cyber-bullying? How do the schools work with anti-bullying concepts ? have the new phenomenon cyber-bullying affected and changed the schools´ anti-bullying work in connection with the guidelines and in relation to the "new technology"? This study attempts to examine how this is handled within several secondary schools with three different municipalities.

Syftet med studien var att undersöka hur personer som har ätstörning upplever behandlingsmetod - skapande aktiviteter som ett sätt att finna inre resurser och känsla av sammanhang. Intervjun med fyra personer som har ätstörning utfördes med hjälp av halvstrukturerade kvalitativa intervjuer och egen konstruerad intervjuguide. Resultat har visat att skapande aktiviteter är en behandlingsmetod som kan hjälpa personer med ätstörningar att finna resurser både inom sig själva och inom omgivningen, vilka kan fungera som skyddande faktorer och som ett sätt att bemästra svårigheter. Resurser kan vara till exempel kreativ förmåga, humor, möjlighet att lära sig handskas med problem, känna samhörighet samt kunna hjälpa och ge stöd, vara aktiv och engagerad i meningsfulla aktiviteter och bra struktur i aktiviteter..

Studiens syfte var att försöka belysa kvinnors situation i missbruksbehandling där män och kvinnor deltar i samma behandlingsgrupp. Frågeställningarna var: (1) Hur har kvinnornas liv som missbrukare sett ut? (2) Hur ser kvinnornas könsrelationer ut i behandlingen? (3) Vad innebär det att vara kvinna i en blandad könsgrupp under behandlingen? Studien genomfördes i form av kvalitativa intervjuer med en fenomenologisk hållning, och tolkades sedan med hjälp av meningstolkning. Resultaten analyserades med hjälp av könsperspektivet samt det psykodynamiska perspektivet. Resultaten visade att kvinnors situation i en blandad könsgrupp kan vara komplicerad och att både kvinnor och män lätt blir distraherade av varandra.

The aim of this essay was to obtain an understanding about company owners thinking about the connection between having an own company, and the risks for an alcoholic abuse. The risk factor I was researching was stress, alcoholic culture, accessibility and rehabilitation.I have interviewed five owners of small companies, two women and three men, which represents four different kinds of branches. The theories I used in analysing the empirical findings where the theories of psychosocial work environment of Lazarus, Karaseks demand/control model, epidemiology- and culture perspective.I have found that the main stress factors for company owners where the economical stress and great load of work. The stress was also related to the fact that company owners of small companies often were alone with all the responsibility and problems.Women did not use alcohol very often as a tool to reduce stress. If individuals were using alcohol to reduce their stress, it also had to deal with their ability of coping and also what channels they had for coping..

Det ordineras/rekommenderas många ortoser till övre extremiteterna för personer iarbetslivet. Syftet med studien är att undersöka personers användning av ordinerade/rekommenderade ortoser för tumbas-artros, arpaltunnelsyndrom och epikondylit samt vilka för- respektive nack-delar ortosen anses ha. Respondenterna i undersökningen fanns inte i vår geografiska närhet så gjordes en enkätundersökning. Tjugofyra personer av 53 besvarade en enkät och sammanställningen visade att majoriteten var nöjda med sina ortoser. Tjugotvå följde sina ordinationer/rekommendationer och de två övriga angav att ortosen var för varm eller rädd att tappa styrka.

This thesis deals with the information-seeking behaviour of occupational therapists. Focus was on three different aspects of information-seeking behaviour. The purpose was to investigate how occupational therapists conceive of work-related information needs, their choice and use of formal and informal information sources and their use of the hospital library. Twelve interviews with occupational therapists were conducted at a rehabilitation clinic in a hospital. The theoretical frame consists of a general model of the information-seeking of professionals by Leckie, Pettigrew and Sylvain.
