Stress i socialt arbete : - en risk för utbrändhet?
The purpose of this study was to investigate how social workers who worked with financial assistance perceived their work situation and the impact work-related stress had on their health and quality of work. Further, the study intended to find out if they felt that they received support from their employer that could prevent stress-related sick leave. The following two research questions were to be answered: In what way does work-related stress affect social workers? health and job quality according to their own experience? What kind of support and help experienced social workers were available within their organization? To receive answers to the questions semi-structured interviews with five social workers were conducted, analyzed and interpreted. The results showed that when social workers have a heavy case burden, high stress and a risk of deteriorated job quality occurred.

This study was performed to examine whether horses that are kept alone in smallpaddocks are less likely to suffer injuries, compared to horses kept in biggerenclosures with the company of other horses, or not. In not yet published researchmaterial from 2005, risk factors associated with ?accidental injuries? versus ?wearand tear injuries? (represented by trauma injury and fetlock inflammationrespectively), were compared. That material, based on the results of 507 returnedquestionnaires from owners of horses in a Swedish insurance company, includedquestions about paddock/pasture confinement. The results from those questionswere then analyzed in this study in a so called case-control study, in which thegroups with trauma and fetlock inflammation were compared to a healthy controlgroup.The results show that the risk of fetlock inflammation is greater in a smallconfinement, OR for inflammation in a small paddock is 2,2 (95% KI 1,2-3,9)compared to a bigger paddock.

The purpose of this study was to find out how the responsible editors on a selection of Swedish newspapers react to a reproach from the Press Ombudsman. The method for this research was eight qualitative interviews with responsible editors on some of Sweden?s biggest newspapers, and also a few local newspapers.We based our results on the interviews and three theories ? media accountability, communicative action and consequence neutrality. We used these theories because we think that, put together they produce the most apt view of how media ethics is being handled in the printed press.We found out that in most cases a reproach doesn?t mean that much to a newspaper.

Hur överlever en aktiesparare i den rådande aktiedjungeln? : En kvanitativ studie över hur aktiesparare använder handlingsregler för att förhålla sig till riskerna förknippade med aktiehandeln.
Bakgrund: På senare år sparar nästan alla svenskar mer aktivt och den positiva utvecklingen på aktier har gjort att allt fler aktiesparare lockats in i aktiemarknaden. Detta har bidragit till att aktier blivit den främsta tillgången för sparare. Ägandet av aktier är förknippat med har medfört flertalet risker då det finns en risk att aktiekurserna kan falla. Flertalet investerare har en diffus uppfattning om vilka risker som tas. Identifierar aktiespararen riskerna med aktiesparandet så förbättras förutsättningarna för en bra avkastning.

Kostrelaterade riskfaktorer : En litteraturstudie gällande IGF-1 och ökad risk för prostatacancer
Bakgrund:Den dominerande cancerformen hos män över 75 år är prostatacancer. Kosten har en påverkan på många sjukdomstillstånd och på senare tid har man undersökt misstankarna kring om höga nivåer av IGF-1 kan öka risken för att utveckla prostatacancer. IGF-1 finns naturligt i kroppen men hormonet finns bland annat också i vissa livsmedel så som mejeriprodukter. Syfte:Att granska tillgänglig evidens gällande samband mellan höga nivåer av IGF-1 och prostatacancer, samt att om ett samband går att finna, undersöka om en kostrekommendation kan göras för att sänka nivåerna av detta hormon i kroppen och på så vis minska risken för utveckling av prostatacancer. Metod:Systematisk litteraturstudie.

Operativ riskhantering i svenska banker : Den ogreppbara amöban
Bakgrund: Banker har alltid varit utsatta för operativ risk, men det är först på senare tid denna risk börjat uppmärksammas på allvar. Detta beror dels på att den operativa risken har ökat, dels på en rad uppmärksammade händelser där förluster orsakade av exponeringar mot operativ risk fått förödande konsekvenser. Som en följd av detta implementerades Basel II-regelverket år 2007 i Sverige. I och med detta behövde bankerna för första gången sätta av kapital för operativa risker. Syftet med regelverket var att upprätthålla en stabil finansmarknad.
Förekomst av AAS, alkohol och narkotika hos spinningtränande på gym i Stockholm : föreligger skillnad mellan spinningtränande och gymtränande?
SammanfattningSyfte och frågeställningarSyftet med den här studien är att, genom att lyfta ut en definierad träningsgrupp, spinningtränande, från gymtränande undersöka om skillnader föreligger kring risk- och missbruk av AAS, narkotika och alkohol. Frågeställningarna som ska svara på syftet fokuseras kring hur gruppen spinningtränande förhåller sig till missbruk av AAS och narkotika jämfört med gruppen gymtränande i STAD undersökningen. Alkohol parametern jämförs mellan spinningtränande och befolkningen i övrigt efter en rapport av Källmén m.fl.MetodFör att nå fram till mina resultat har jag valt att arbeta med kvantitativ metod. Studiens avgränsningar består i spinningtränande på gym, ålderskategori arton till sextio år. De tre gym som är med i studien skiljer sig åt geografiskt i Stockholms inner- och ytterstad samt har olika ägandeformer.ResultatResultatet visar att spinningtränande inte skiljer sig från gymtränande med avseende på missbruk av AAS och narkotika.
