Syftet med uppsatsen är att ta reda på hur aktiekurserna hos företagen som är listade på OMX i Stockholm, Köpenhamn och Helsingfors beter sig efter en större nedgång/krasch och om företagens storlek i form av börsvärde påverkar beteendet. Undersökningen sker med Gutenberg och Richters fysikaliska lag som används till att mäta förhållandet mellan jordbävningars magnitud och antalet krascher under en viss tid i en viss region. Modellens riktighet på det insamlade data som används kommer kontrolleras med hjälp av en regression och valideras med hjälp av tidigare forskning. För att rättfärdiga den ekonofysiska metod vi använder oss av, kommer vi även att studera indexavkastningarnas beskrivande statistik för att visa på att det nationalekonomiska antagandet om normalfördelning vid aktieavkastningar inte gäller. Resultatet pekar på en viss systematisk skillnad mellan hur börsvärdesmässigt stora företag beter sig jämfört mot hur små företag beter sig efter att en krasch ägt rum.

Sammanfattning: Revision innebär att undersöka, värdera och yttra sig om ett företags bokföring, årsredovisning och förvaltning. Under en revision är det orimligt för en revisor att granska samtliga konton och enskilda transaktioner. Genom en väsentlighetsbedömning görs ett urval av vad som ska granskas. Det avgör storlek och omfattning på revisionen. Tidigare studier har visat att det finns huvudsakliga bakgrundsfaktorer som inverkar på väsentlighetsbedömningen.

This is a thesis presents a differential gear which is found in a tracked vehicle called BvS10. The tracked vehicle is manufactured by BAE Systems Hägglunds AB in Örnsköldsvik, Sweden. The differential gear has a bolted house. The differential meets the requirement specifications, but the problem is that the bolts are sheared off because of the extreme torque that the differential is exposed to resist.Previous report on the differential show pictures of bolts which have been sheared off at the threads. This report is also includes three lists that explain seven different proposals which some are approved and some are not, and the report also presents the force, tensile, and shear stress.In a bolted connection there is both axial tension stress and radial shear stress, which can lead to wear out and broken bolts.

Den Europeiska Unionen är en mångfacetterad samling länder med ett brett spektra av historisk bakgrund, geografisk placering och ekonomiska förhållanden. I denna uppsats undersöks huruvida en gemensam europeisk identitet kan bidra till en ökad tillit från medborgarna i unionen till EU som institution.Uppsatsens teoretiska underlag består av tidigare forskning. Denna forskning skapar ett fundament för den statistiska modell som används för att besvara frågeställningen.Med hjälp av data samlad ur bland annat Eurobarometerrapporter tar uppsatsen, via multipel linjär regression, fram en modell som förklarar förhållandet mellan den beroende variabeln ?förtroende för EU? och de oberoende variablerna ?uppfattning av gemensam europeisk identitet?, ?avstånd till Bryssel?, ?BNP per capita? och ?antal år som medlem i EU?.Resultatet visar en koppling mellan en högre grad av upplevd gemensam identitet hos medborgarna i ett land och ett ökat förtroende för EU.Vidare visar modellen ett negativt samband mellan förtroendet för EU och ett stigande värde på var och en av de övriga förklaringsvariablerna. Med andra ord: ju längre avstånd till Bryssel, ju högre BNP per capita och ju längre medlemskap i unionen desto lägre förtroende känner den genomsnittlige medborgaren för EU..

The purpose of this thesis was to investigate whether accounting quality is a priced factor by investors. The event studied is the release of year-end result and the release of the annual report. To assess accounting quality a sample of 30 companies listed on the Stockholm Stock Exchange during 2003 to 2007 are studied. We assess accounting quality by the absolute size of discretionary accruals using the modified Jones model developed by Dechow et al. (1995).

Bakgrund:Handeln på aktiemarknaden har den senaste tiden genomgått en teknisk utveckling och blivit mer lättillgänglig för flera. Här verkar aktieägare med förhoppningen om att skapa en överavkastning på aktiemarknaden. I motsatt förhållande finns det studier som menar att det inte skulle finnas några möjligheter till överavkastning. Därmed blir det intressant att undersöka huruvida nyckeltal kan förklara avkastningen för dagens aktiebolag.Syfte:Syftet med studien är att undersöka hur väl nyckeltal förklarar den kortsiktiga avkastningen hos tillväxt- respektive värdebolag. Detta för att komma fram till om något nyckeltal är mer användbart för att förklara sambandet till den kortsiktiga avkastningen för tillväxt- eller värdebolag.Metod:Studien bygger på en kvantitativ metod där tre nyckeltal har analyserats med hjälp av enkel linjär regression.Resultat:Studiens resultat konstaterar att nyckeltalet, avkastning på totalt kapital, är mest användbart för att förklara sambandet till den kortsiktiga avkastningen hos tillväxt- och värdebolag.

This MA thesis analyzes how the protagonists and the narrative structure relates to ?the Child? as a linguistic/cultural construction in Mare Kandre?s early authorship (1984-1991). A thematic of children portraits defines this period of Kandre?s writing, which consits of the following works: In a Different Country (1984), The Annunciation (1986), Bübin?s Kid (1987), The Burning Tree (1988) and Aliide, Aliide (1991).Linguistic components, such as the word ?child?, the name ?Kid? and a reconstruction of the concept of childhood, holds an actuate position in these narratives when they first appear in direct relation to the protagonists. This suggests how generally accepted categories and concepts consciously are at work in Kandre?s writings.

Enligt Market timing-teorin styr marknadens värdering av företag huruvida nya investeringar finansieras med lån eller med nytt eget kapital. Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka om teorin kan förklara svenska företags val av finansiering och således företagens kapitalstruktur. Vidare har en regression genomförts mellan de beroende variablerna "Bokförd skuldsättningsgrad" och "Marknadsmässig skuldsättningsgrad" med diverse oberoende variabler för att analysera ifall Market timing-teorin stämmer överens med svenska företag. Av de oberoende variablerna anses marknadsvärdet dividerat med bokfört värde (M/B) bäst förklara Market timing-teorins korrekthet.

Lake lowering in sulphide-rich areas is currently a major environmental impact for surface water. This study focuses on whether there is a relationship between a gradient of lake lowering and surface water impacts in areas of sulphide-rich sediments, in order to better understand their contribution of heavy metals and sulfuric acid. Also, is it a reasonable method to use the reduced lake area in order to quantify the gradient? The survey was conducted by collecting water samples from reference lakes and lowered lakes from south to north in coastal areas within the county of Västerbotten. Water samples were then analyzed for TOC, pH, conductivity, anions, base cations, alkalinity, acidity, sulfate, Al, Cd, Fe, Mn, Cu, Zn and Pb.

It is based around a questionnaire aimed towards store managers and consequently used it to run regression analysis using the software package SPSS.Main results: The main result of the essay is that the motivation among store managers is positively related to the degree to which they absorb information. Thus, a possible problem exists for the corporation in that they need to make sure that the store managers are and stays motivated. Further, it seems that the longer a store manager has been employed by the corporation the less information is absorbed. I Värmland var man tidigt ute med denna modell och kallar den för frisktandvård för att belysa att man inte enbart ser det som en betalningsform utan även som ett sätt att bedriva vård. Tandläkaren genomför en initial riskbedömning inom fyra olika huvudområden och för respektive område allmän risk, teknisk risk, karies risk samt parodontal risk sätts en siffra 0-4 för att representera olika risknivåer. Ett sammanfattande mått leder i sin tur leder fram till en abonnemangsklass för patienten.

Syfte: Syftet är att granska hur den mediala opinionen gentemot Swedbank förändras över tid och undersöka om dessa förändringar korrelerar med fluktuationerna i Swedbanks aktiekurs. Metod: I studien observeras Swedbanks aktiekurs under cirka elva månader och är till sin karaktär kvantitativ. Ungefär 6500 artiklar, skrivna om Swedbank under perioden, granskas genom semantisk dataanalys för att gradera opinionen på en skala. Metoden är ny och examensarbetet genomförs med en induktiv ansats. Materialet bearbetas därefter genom enkel linjär regression för att finna eventuella samband.
