Arbetet har utforskat möjligheten och precisionen av BRP-prediktion för tre statistiska metoder; linjär regression, regressionsträd och modellträd. För modellutvärdering har testfelsskattning erhållen genom korsvalidering och en jämförelse mot Statistiska Centralbyråns (SCB) prognos av BRP används. Resultatet visar att regressionsträd inte lämpar sig för BRP-prediktion, medan de andra två lyckas med rimlig felmarginal. Procentuell avvikelse för metoden som ligger närmast SCB:s prognos har 0,3 i genomsnitt och standardavvikelse 3,0..

Problematiken med alkoholkonsumtionen och berusningsmönstret hos svenska skolungdomar är ständigt i medias övervakning. Syftet med denna rapport har varit att undersöka betydelsen av föräldrars inställning till alkohol och vilken inverkan den har på ungdomars alkoholkonsumtion samt berusningsmönster. Detta är viktigt för kunna att arbeta preventivt mot missbruk och alkoholproblem hos ungdomar.Många tidigare studier visar på att vänner och familj är det som har störst påverkan på ungdomars alkoholkonsumtion. Detta gör att de teoretiska utgångspunkterna som använts i studien behandlar dessa fenomen; den kulturella ansatsen, identitetskapandet samt teorin om social inlärning som sker inom familjen. På grund av avgränsning så fokuserar denna studie endast på hur föräldrarna påverkar alkoholkonsumtionen.Studiens frågeställningar har besvarats genom en statistisk analys av Stockholmsenkäten (från 2008).

I det här arbetet har multipel linjär regression tillämpats för att analysera hur olika finansiella signaler påverkar marknadsjusterad avkastning. Analysen baserades på en observerad datamängd hämtad ur årsredovisningar och aktiekurser från åren 2006-2010. De finansiella signalernas undersöktes mot aktiers framtida marknasjusterade avkastning och mot fjolårets marknadsjusterade avkastning. De finansiella faktorer och marknadsfaktorer som undersökts i arbetet var F_SCORE, Book-to-Market-ratio, affärsår, marknadsvärde samt verksamhetsområde.OLS-regressioner har tillämpats för att analysera modellerna, vilka därefter successivt har reducerats med hjälp av BIC-test. För att undersöka OLS-skattningarnas noggrannhet har även Bootstrap-metoden tillämpats.

Denna uppsats vetenskapliga grund hämtas främst från ekofeminism med tanken om jämställdhetsarbetets samband med miljövård, samt närvarons politik med teorier kring representationens betydelse för den politik som förs. Ekofeministisk teori menar att det finns betydelsefulla samband mellan förtrycket av kvinnor, icke-vita människor, och fattiga på ena sidan och den icke-mänskliga naturen på andra sidan. Detta innebär att kvinnor på ett bättre sätt förstår det förtryck som finns mot icke-mänsklig natur än män. Teorin om närvarons politik menar att det styrande idéfokuserade politiska systemet går miste om viktiga perspektiv och kunskaper som en mer representativ politik kan ge. Närvarons politik utgår från att politiskt underrepresenterade sociala grupper kan bidra med perspektiv och kunskaper som annars förblir ohörda.

Based on educational science theory and through analyzes of factual texts, the teaching materials was examined to determine how much focus they put on the thematic of religion and science. This paper presents the results from an osteological method study of the Ringsjöholm fishbone material. Ringsjöholm is located in Scania, southern Sweden and is 14C dated to 5960-5200 B.P. The aim of this paper is to critically analyse methods used on fish bone material in estimations of season. Three different approaches were used to estimate the fishing season at the Ringsjöholm settlement; 1) identified species, 2) size estimations of the pike based on Enghoffs (1994-95) regression formulae of os dentale, and 3) growth rings of the pike vertebrae.The identified species and the size estimations of the pike points to the fishing being active both during spring and summer. Growth rings analysis of the pike vertebrae didn?t give any quantitative results because of fragmentation.

AimThe purpose of this study is to analyze factors that affect the price on tenant-owner apartments in the central parts of Uppsala. Special attention is put on analyzing how the monthly fee and the location affect the price. The hypotheses are that the monthly fee and the distance to the central part of the city have a negative effect on the price. A number of additional price affecting factors was taken in consideration during this study.MethodThis study is mainly based on data supplied to us by Mäklarstatistik. The supplied data consists of information about tenant-owner apartment sales in Uppsala during a year under 2008 and 2009.

The proportion of women entrepreneurs in Sweden is, as in many countries, smaller than the proportion of men entrepreneurs. Sweden has therefore created political measures with the ambition to increase women entrepreneurship. However, knowledge about the determinants of women entrepreneurship is needed in order to enable the promotion of it and, at the same time one can question the treatment of women entrepreneurs as a homogenous group. The purpose of this thesis is to investigate the determinants of women entrepreneurship and whether these determinants fluctuate regionally. If this proves to be the case, a more spatial/individual approach should be used, when creating measures to promote entrepreneurship.

In a time when economic crises relieving one another, it is especially interesting to study how companies choose to finance their operations. Since there is a lack of studies that include banks, and their capital structures, with the rest of the finance market, it is uncertain whether the theories of capital structure are applicable. The aim of this study is to look at the way four teachers in, and five workbooks for, the course Svenska 1/A+B in upper-secondary schools include language varieties in their content. The research is based on qualitative and quantitative analyzes of the workbooks, where words and content are examined, and also interviews with the teachers who presents how they work with language varieties in their education. The results show that language varieties are accepted in school-education at the same time as they are, and have been, alienated in a way.
