Swedish migration law states that a person who wants to seek a residence permit based on family ties has to apply from the home country. This essay applies to cases when families that live in Sweden have to come apart when one parent has to return to the home country to seek a permit to which he or she is entitled.The rule causes families unnecessary suffering. This essay analyzes the reasons behind the rule and argues that it is compatible neither with Swedish policy of children's rights and gender equality nor with the international conventions that have been ratified.Furthermore, it is investigated whether the migration authorities act in compli-ance with the intentions behind the law. It is concluded that the Migration Board, despite their own critique of the rule, makes an unnecessarily restrictive interpre-tation. This results in a situation where no one takes responsibility for the conse-quences for the affected families.

Inom den regionala utvecklingen har ekonomisk tillväxt fått en allt större roll, fler och flerregioner arbetar efter att sträva en så hög ekonomiskt tillväxt som möjligt. Men i och meddetta så skapas en geografiskt differentierad utveckling där de områden som genererar tillväxtanses har starka utvecklingsmöjligheter medan de områden som inte alls genererar likamycket riskerar att hamna efter och bli outvecklade. Detta är något som kan ses i Värmlanddär Karlstadsregionen utvecklas medan de svagare delarna av länet, så somlandsbygdsområdena inte alls har lika stort fokus på sig inom det regionalautvecklingsarbetet. En lösning på detta kan vara att arbeta fram en inkluderande tillväxt därdet inte bara handlar om de ekonomiska värden utan även inkluderar sociala faktorer.Syftet med min studie är därför att lyfta fram och belysa frågor som rör inkluderande tillväxtpå regional nivå med Värmland som fallstudie. Syftet är även att undersöka hur en merinkluderad tillväxt kan arbetas in den regionala kontexten, samt se hur det regionalaperspektivet och utvecklingsarbetet i Värmland kan påverkas av detta.

Starting at the end of the Cold War, this publication assesses the impact of the upheavals in Eastern Europe and the atrophic Soviet Union on the Swedish doctrine of neutrality with its 200 year old tradition. Since the end of world war two the proximity of the Soviet Union had constituted the major impetus for upholding a position of neutrality and as this vanished a pressure for change was created. This essay works with a theoretical framework delineated by Kjell Goldmann and under this disposition, the Swedish tradition of neutrality, governmental positions, opposition and four major influential newspapers are studied. This thesis investigates the 200 year old phenomena of savings banks and if they increase the economic growth (GDP) in the local region they act in. That is being done by testing three hypotheses; the savings banks increase the attractiveness of the region they act in; the savings banks increase the entrepreneurship in the region they act in; and the savings banks increase the economic growth in region they act in. This quantitative cross-sectional study with data from the year 2010, finds that the savings banks increase the attractiveness of the local region, most likely through the efforts and financials they put into different local projects. A positive result is also found for increased entrepreneurship in the regions that have a local savings bank. The result is explained by the savings banks relationship lending, which increase the likeliness for a company to get the credit they need to start and develop.

The concept of integration is considered to be very diffuse, difficult to apply and implement the following decisions. To understand the concept of integration is the first step, followed by understanding its complexity in an organization.In this study, I focus on studying the implementation of integration policies for integration work with Kalmar Municipality as a case study. I am using Lundquist's implementation theory about understanding, able and willing. The survey consists primarily of interviews but also a certain document to get a perspective on how integration policy has gone into integration work with the hypothesis that it is the understanding that weaknesses of the officials in the implementation of integration policies.

Den svenska länsindelningen härstammar från 1600-talet och få förändringar har skett sedan dess, trots att debatten varit häftig. Krav på förändringar av länsindelningarna har ofta ställts, ofta med anspråk på att göra dessa större. Ett stort antal statliga utredningar har under årens lopp behandlat frågan. Jag har i denna uppsats undersökt fem statliga utredningar under 1990- och 2000-talet, dels utifrån vilka förslag man kommit med, dels hur medborgarnas möjlighet till effektivt beslutsfattande och systemens kapacitet att tillgodose medborgarnas önskemål har behandlats i utredningarna. Med hjälp av Robert A.

Studien ger en bild av hur tjänstemän på regional och lokal nivå ser på miljömålsarbetet. Syftet med studien har varit att skapa en förståelse för hur tjänstemän, som aktivt arbetar med miljömålen på en länsstyrelse och en kommun, uppfattar miljömålsarbetet och vilka faktorer som de anser är viktiga för ett lyckat miljömålsarbete. Studien baseras på kvalitativa intervjuer med sju tjänstemän från en länsstyrelse och en kommun. Fokus har legat på de intervjuade tjänstemännens syn på åtgärdsarbetet på den egna myndigheten. De problem som verkar vara mest centrala för intervjupersonerna i miljömålsarbetet är resursbrist, att det saknas politisk förankring, att inte tillräckligt många olika aktörer är delaktiga i arbetet, att det är ett brett område och att det är svårt att integrera miljömålen i myndigheternas ordinarie verksamhet.

This essay examines the policy process of specialist medical training in three Swedish counties. The essay will first describe the policy process. Secondly the politicians parti-cipating in the process is examined. Thirdly, it is tested whether it is possible to analyze the policy process based on Ostrom's theories of cooperation around a common pool resource. In this case, the common pool resource is specialized medical practitioners skills that the Swedish county councils must collaborate on to competence should be sufficient for the county council needs, something that is not the case today.One conclusion of the study is that the health care law is not clear enough when it comes to who is responsible for providing a sufficient number of specialists.

Uppsatsen undersöker alkoholens pris- och inkomstelasticiteter i Sverige, för att på så vis undersöka om det svenska alkoholmonopolet genom Systembolaget ger den eftersökta effekt på alkoholkonsumtionen i landet, dvs konsumtionsminskning genom prisreglering. För att renodla elasticiteterna så mycket som möjligt studeras i första hand Jämtlands, Västerbottens och Västernorrlands län, detta då Systembolagets ställning på marknaden är som starkast där då inga andra förskaffningsmöjligheter som t ex egenimport eller köp av smuggelsprit existerar i någon större utsträckning i de länen. De resultaten kompareras sedan med en nationell skattning för att se hur det ter sig på nationell nivå. Resultaten visade att det föreligger en negativ priselasticitet på alkohol på den regionala analysnivån såväl som på den nationella. Elasticiteterna på nationell nivå är dock avsevärt starkare.

Problemet med övergödning har länge varit uppmärksammat i Sverige. De åtgärder som har satts in för att minska problemet har inte fungerat tillfredsställande och därför är det extra viktigt att följa upp och utvärdera målet Ingen övergödning. En central del i arbetet med miljömålen är utvärdering och uppföljning, som görs för att bedöma om vi närmar oss de uppsatta miljömålen. I det svenska miljömålsarbetet har så kallade miljöindikatorer fått en betydande roll. De fungerar som ett verktyg för att operationalisera, implementera, följa upp och utvärdera hållbar utveckling.

Today Sweden is both a secular and multi-religious country, of which Christianity historically has been a dominant player. Both processes of individualization and migration have contributed to a changed religious character as the current Swedish social situation represents. An interesting question to consider is how the Swedish school system has been able to adapt to the changed religious climate. This study examines the policy documents for religious education produced for upper secondary school, to see how the role of religion in the processes of individualization and migration, and the changes that these processes have brought the role of religion in today?s society as a whole, are described within them.

Den här uppsatsen behandlar den fysiska dimensionen i svensk regional planering och hur den påverkar sambandet mellan det regionala tillväxtarbetet och den kommunala översiktsplaneringen. Problembeskrivningen är baserad på Boverkets rapporter Rumslig utvecklingsplanering ? länken mellan regionalt tillväxtarbete och kommunal översiktsplanering (Rapport 2011:3) och Sambandet mellan det regionala tillväxtarbetet och kommunernas översiktsplanering (Rapport 2014:15). I dessa rapporter konstateras att en av anledningarna till att sambandet mellan de båda sektorerna idag är så svagt är att det regionala tillväxtarbetet och främst de regionala utvecklingsprogrammen saknar en fysisk dimension vilket gör det svårare för de kommunala planerarna att omsätta utvecklingsprogrammen och dess innehåll i fysisk planering (Boverket 2011, Boverket 2014a).Med utgångspunkt i det konstaterandet är uppsatsens syfte att undersöka möjligheten att använda sig av regionplanering enligt PBL för att stärka sambandet mellan det regionala tillväxtarbetet och den kommunala översiktsplaneringen.I avsnittet Teoretiskt perspektiv presenteras och diskuteras en möjlighet att tolka den diskrepans som finns mellan det regionala tillväxtarbetet och den kommunala översiktsplaneringen som utgår från en tolkning Jan-Evert Nilsson har presenterat av regionalpolitiken inom EU. Nilsson menar att det finns ett ekonomiskt/socialt perspektiv och ett territoriellt perspektiv och att dessa representerar två olika sätt att se på och hantera regional utveckling.
