Detta kandidatarbete undersöker gröna tak i urban miljö. Gröna tak är i denna uppsats ett begrepp och samlingsnamn för vegetation på byggnaders tak i olika former. Trenden för gröna tak pekar uppåt, främst utomlands men även i Sverige. Emporia i Malmö som är ett av Skandinaviens största köpcentrum är byggt med ett så kallat grönt tak. Detta tak anlades dock på initiativ av byggherren och inte efter kommunens beslut. Huvudsyftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka om och i så fall hur kommunen kan planlägga gröna tak. Fördelar och nackdelar med det gröna taket kommer också att utgöra en del av uppsatsen.

The public spaces of the city from a social sustainability perspective, Jubileumsparken, a public space for the young, aims to see how public spaces can be open and accessible to all young people in the community. New public spaces can be created and formed by urban planning. A public space that is undergoing considerable development is Jubileumsparken, which is situated in Gothenburg. This area constitutes the case study for this thesis. Due to the commercialization in the neo-liberal society of today, there is a risk that economically weak people, such as the young, the unemployed or students, can?t take part of all public spaces.

During the autumn of 2008 I obtained office experience by working at the local government of Örnsköldsvik. I started working on the district green plan of the green structure and that led to the work of this exam paper. The purpose of this exam paper has been to define some standpoints for the green structure of the local government district of Örnsköldsvik. I have used both a larger and a smaller scale to obtain a wide a perspective as possible of the green structure. The larger scale gives an overall view of the whole municipality while the smaller scale is found in the study of the two local areas Centrum and Domsjö. For the local government planning to be able to obtain an agreeable level of verdure to the residents it is necessary that the green structure is brought up on the agenda.

Syftet med denna intervjustudie var att undersöka hur ett antal nyckelaktörer inom turismnäringen såg på matens roll och hur de arbetade med matupplevelser i praktiken. Insamling av data genomfördes genom semi-strukturerade intervjuer som transkriberades och analyserades utifrån en mall för kvalitativ bearbetning av text. De aktörer som fungerade som informanter för undersökningen arbetade samtliga med matturism på nationell, regional eller lokal nivå.  De aktörer som deltog i studien var Landsbygdsdepartementet, Visit Sweden, Regional Matkultur Småland, Smaka på Skåne, Kristianstad Kommun och Idala Gård. Undersökningens resultat visade att samtliga aktörer ansåg att maten hade en given roll inom turismnäringen.  Informanterna betonade vikten av att producenter ser matens potential till att bli en matupplevelse och synliggör den för turister. Ett skäl till att detta inte alltid görs kunde bero på den bild svenskar har av svensk mat och svensk matkultur menade informanterna.  De förespråkade en stolthet över svensk mat och mattradition.

This bachelor thesis in Landscape Architecture is about the planning and design of public spaces in small towns in Sweden. My opinion is that the small towns often are overlooked and my determination is to see if that is right. The purpose with this thesis in Landscape Architecture, with focus on a durable society is to find the central public places in small towns and evaluate their function. This thesis has a focus on good design of central public spaces, designed for the inhabitants of the small towns. A small town, which is the focus of this thesis, is defined to have 200-2000 inhabitants. The small towns, which often are built around industries or the railway, have since the nineteen seventies a problem with people leaving them for the cities in the urbanization. Currently there is also the opposite trend with people moving out from the cities, but to live on the country side, not in the small towns.

Benchmarking is an established method of working which is often used in order to develop the quality of the organization. However, almost 70% of the organizations with benchmarking fail due to the lack of planning and structuring of the benchmarking exercise. Maintenance sections in the paper and pulp industry are one of those who have decided to conduct benchmarking. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to gain knowledge of how the maintenance sections in the paper and pulp industry deliberately structure and plan to use benchmarking as a driving force for quality development in the maintenance sections.The study is a hermeneutic case study. Telephone interviews and document analysis have been used as data acquisition methods.The results show that there is a lack of both planning and structuring in the benchmarking process, and lack of management commitment for quality improvements within industrial maintenance.

Den tilltagande urbaniseringen har medfört att hamn- och industriområden som tidigare låg i stadens perifera områden har fått en alltmer central plats. Från att ha fungerat som industristäder där denna verksamhet varit en integrerad och vital katalysator för staden håller samhället nu på att övergå från industrisamhälle till kunskapssamhälle där arbetet förflyttats från förorenade och bullriga industrimiljöer till rena och tysta bostads- och kontorsmiljöer. I takt med detta minskar också behovet av centralt belägna industriområden som nu blivit mer ödsliga, otrygga och stadsfrånvända där de inte sällan bildat en barriär mot sin omgivning. Samtidigt är det idag för oss människor inte lika självklart som tidigare genom historien att använda stadens offentliga rum och det pågår mycket planering för att skapa integrerade, attraktiva och levande stadsmiljöer vid stadsomvandlingar. En problematik som uppstår är hur dessa industriområden kan omvandlas från centrala men avskilda, ödsliga och ofta stadsfrånvända industrimiljöer till funktionsblandade, attraktiva och levande stadsdelar som är väl integrerade med sin omgivning. Arbetets syfte är undersöka hur Lövholmen kan omvandlas från en avskild industrimiljö till en funktionsblandad och levande stadsdel som är väl integrerad i sin omgivning.

View of history, nationalism and science .                                                                                                          The study concerns the Swedish, after the conquest of Scania 1658, attempts to induce feelings of Swedish nationality to the people in former Danish province of Scania 1658-1720. The goal of this study was to analyze 20th century and present Swedish and Danish historians? descriptions of the Swedish and Danish treatment of the native Scania population. The aim was further to describe this historians` view of native rebellious group called ?snapphanar? and which measures were taken to assimilate the Scanian population to Swedish realm.

This report is a result of a project that been conducted on System Andersson. System Andersson sells and develops MPS-systems for small and medium sized manufacturing companies. System Andersson are today located in the central parts of Jönköping and has about 20 employees. The goal for the project is to develop a new version of Andersson Qwick mps. The project has been divided into a number of smaller projects were the authors been part of the planning module project.

Det finns idag en påtaglig bostadsbrist i Stockholmsområdet och detta samtidigt som regionen förväntas få en kraftig inflyttning de kommande tjugo åren. Krav finns på kommunerna att friställa byggbar mark för ny bostadsbebyggelse. Detta arbete konkritiserar problemet genom en fallstudie av gammal industrimark som snart kommer att friställas för bostads- och verksamhetsbebyggelse. Fallstudien görs på Bergs oljehamn i Nacka kommun. Under det senaste decenniet har nyexploatering av hamnmark skett nationellt i Sverige liktväl som regionalt i Stockholmsregionen. När staden växer uppstår behov av centralt belägen mark för nyexploatering, där hamnarnas tidigare perifera läge nu blivit centralt belägna. Arbetet har undersökt förhållandet mellan typologi och de specifika kvalitéer de för med sig och hjälper till att förstärka på platsen.

?Ecosystem services are the ecosystems direct and indirect contributions of ecosystems to human well-being.? In order to reach the generation target and the environmental objectives it is important to increase the awareness of biodiversity and ecosystem services and it?s importance to human welfare and simultaneously highlighting the value of ecosystem services. The value of ecosystem services should be integrated into economic standpoints, political considerations and other decisions in the society. In today?s society there is a problem concerning that the value of ecosystem services are not considered in economic terms, which can result in solutions that are unfavorable for our welfare (Ministry of Environment, 2012).

I detta examensarbete fokuseras staden, planen och marknaden. Mer konkret behandlas den offentliga planeringens makt i relation till marknadskrafter i den fysiska planeringen. Detta tema formuleras utifrån iakttagelser från samtiden och underbyggs sedan med svensk och internationell forskning. De huvudsakliga frågeställningarna handlar om 1, den offentliga planeringens användning av det kommunala planmonopolet, 2, hur olika aktörer agerar i planprocessen, samt 3, om förhandlingar påverkar utfallet i planprocessen. Undersökningen genomförs som en enfallsstudie av en aktuell planprocess, en planprocess där just relationer mellan offentliga och privata aktörer förväntats. Fallet som undersöks är processen kring omvandlingen av Norra Backa i Borlänge.
