Forskning visar att statliga satsningar inominnovationspolitiken uppvisar ett prioriteringsmönster där kön synes vara en organiserandeprincip. Tekniktunga branscher som främst sysselsätter män som anställda får majoriteten av demedel som delas ut för att stödja och utveckla innovativa processer . I Halland är Hälsoteknik etts.k. prioriterat tillväxtområde och därmed mottagare av dessa medel.

Syfte: Uppsatsen syftar till att unders?ka hur m?lstyrning fungerar i offentliga kulturbolag p? regional niv?, och specifikt de komplexa mots?ttningar som p?verkar denna process. Genom att analysera tre offentliga kulturbolag utforskas vilka typer av m?l som finns, vem som formulerar dem, och hur m?len f?ljs upp. Teori: Studiens teoretiska referensram ?r inspirerad av Max Webers teori om idealtyper.

An ideational development has occurred during time towards emphasing more politicially powerful regions with the idea of new regionalism. Sweden represents a deviant case study, where regions historically have been politically weak and where Sweden has been characterized as a strong unitary state. The aim of this paper is to analyze the political debate in the Swedish parliament concerning the implementation of a stronger regional level (storregioner) during 2007-2010 and to determine if the debate can be characterized as a case of depoliticalization. The theory of depoliticalization have been introduced by Richard Katz and Peter Mair to explain why political parties through external pressure from europeanisation and globalization tend to become more consensual with similar political agendas, leading to a diminished the lef-right scale.

Abstract and summaryThe glocal province of competence.The regional building up of knowledge at Växjö University and its choice of home region.The aim of the study is to give views on knowledge and to describe and discuss which home region Växjö University has chosen as its context. Taking my point of departure in the literature and in examples, I illustrate, discuss and examine how three different disciplines at the university have chosen their home regions. Denna kandidatuppsats behandlar ämnet reklam i termer av standardisering och lokalanpassning. Avsikten har varit att ta reda på hur Oriflame Cosmetics har valt att standardisera eller lokalanpassa sin reklam inom regionen EMEA (Europa, Mellanöstern och Afrika), samt i vilken utsträckning Oriflames lokala representanter kan medverka i denna process. Fokus har legat på katalogutformningen då detta är Oriflame Cosmetics huvudsakliga tryckta material.Den forskning som presenteras rör särskilt prototypstandardisering (Prototype Standardisation) och schablonstandardisering (Pattern Standardisation) av reklam. Forskare visar också på hur fokus har skiftat från att skilja på fullständig lokalanpassning och fullständig standardisering, till att istället behandla regional standardisering samt vilken roll lokala representanter har i denna process och relationen mellan huvudkontor och dotterbolag.Undersökningen baseras på intervjuer med anställda inom Oriflame som har god insyn i företaget och katalogutvecklingen, samt på sekundärdata inhämtat från finansiella rapporter och dagspress. De huvudsakliga frågorna berörde hur processen för katalogutformandet ser ut samt hur lokala representanter medverkar i denna.De resultat och slutsatser som undersökningen visar på är att Oriflame Cosmetics har en tydlig regional ansvarsfördelning vid katalogutformandet.

Det är idag vanligt att företag outsourcar drift, förvaltning och utveckling av sina IT-system till större konsultföretag. Detta görs bland annat för att uppnå effektivisering genom att ta del av stordriftsfördelar som väntas medföra en kostnadsbesparing för företaget. Andra orsaker är kvalitetsförbättring, kompetensförsörjning och flexibilitet. Det finns många strategiska mål som skall uppfyllas och dessa bygger på ett partnerskap där många inblandade individer skall samarbeta. Vi tror att huruvida en outsourcing fungerar eller inte avgörs i samarbetet mellan beställare och utvecklare och att ett dåligt fungerande samarbete kan generera stora kostnader.

In May 2007 a committee called ??Ansvarskommittén??, assembled by the Swedish government, came with a proposal of changing the Swedish regional structure. The committee which consisted of representatives from all the sitting parties in the parliament proposed that the present regional structure consisting of 20 county council districts and 21 counties would be reduced to between 6-9  regions called ??regionkommuner??.The purpose of this study is to analyze how the committee?s proposal balances democratic and economic values by using a qualitative method. The committee?s proposal is analyzed by a comparison in five political areas with two differentiated regional theories called old and new regionalism.

Recent years there has been discussed how the critical situation in the housing market threatens the Stockholm region's growth. The thesis objective is to examine whether there is a scientific link between the lack of housing supply and growth. The thesis also intends to identify solutions for increased housing construction, for instance by examining the conditions for a greater regional perspective and influence on the region's housing supply. The thesis empirical study is based on semi-structured interviews with representatives from the Government, municipalities and the housing industry.In Sweden, research on the relationship between housing shortages and growth has not been conducted to that extent it can be said to exist scientific evidence regarding the growth threat. However, in Britain and the U.S, empirical studies show that a lack of housing supply has hindered growth through negative impact on countries' gross domestic product.

North of the city of Stockholm lies the area called Södra Roslagen composed of several municipalities. The purpose of this essay is to discover how local informants describe the food culture of the region and analyse why some types of food are mentioned and others are excluded. Several people within the food industry of Södra Roslagen were given surveys asking them to describe the food habits of the area, from commodities and certain dishes to traditions. These answers were analysed using the theories regional food, regiocentrism, revitalisation, placeless food and the idea of viewing culture through the long and the short perspective.One informant mentioned that professionals in the food industry of the region tend to follow trends from the rest of the world and another that many producers work with ecological requirements. Södra Roslagen was also defined by some as having a taste of summer as this coastal area sees an influx of visitors during that season.

This study is mostly based on previous research, which includes Sub-national actor?s attitudes and regional action towards the European Union. The purpose of the study is to investigate if four Swedish municipalities in Värmland operate internationally towards the European Union and deepen an understanding of their actions. The main research question is: - How can we increase our understanding of municipal action against the European Union? The research questions of this study are answered through qualitative method and semi-structured interviews were conducted.

Background: Knatteskutt is one of the largest organizations in children's sports. Operations are located in approximately 150 cities / areas and have both sports and dance focus. The children are aged 3-7 years and may try several sports activities or dance styles during the semester, focusing on play and motor skills. All who are leaders at Knatteskutt has undergone Swedish Sports Promotion of Child Leaders Training. There are also regional managers around Sweden is as a sounding board for leaders and as an extended arm between the office and the leaders.

Executive summary This master thesis was originally based on a specific assignment given to the authors from ABB Full Service, a unit specializing in providing maintenance outsourcing: ?How can ABB Full Service expand its offering of providing fundamental maintenance by seamlessly incorporating the business concept with competencies and solutions from other ABB divisions?? The academic issue was developed throughout the thesis, resulting in the following formulation: ?From an organizational perspective; how can service providers bring continuous added value to intra-organizational outsourcing partnerships?? Many of the key findings of this thesis are reflected in the issue. The term intra-organizational outsourcing is a proposed addition to the terminology in the academic discourse on outsourcing. The definition of the term is: ? Where an organization outsources a business process interlinked with the physical operations, requiring the service provider to take over a preexisting unit and its employees.This is an accurate description of the form of outsourcing that ABB Full Service is engaged in.

This study investigates the concept of regionalism in the context of the Swedish middle-level political arena. The used method is qualitative theory and two cases are studied: Västra Götaland and Norrbottens läns landsting.The aim of the study is to see what the politicans think about Swedens regionalization process by compare the views of politicans that function in a region and in a county council. Do they have the same vision about what constitutes a region and which advantages do they see in working in a region or in a county council? Also dimensions about territorially and sectorial autonomy on the regional level, presented by King and Pierre are investigated in order to explain the different regionala organs functioning accordingly to these dimensions.The empirical material that have been analyzed is taken from 17 interviews, from government writings and reports from the SKL association, Sveriges Kommuner och Landsting, about the topic of regionalization and the effects and goals in Sweden.The conclusion of the material is that there is common opinion among the politicans about the goals of a region and also about which areas that can benefit the most from the perspective of beeing a region instead of a county council. When it comes to explaining the dimensions of territorially and sectorial autonomy the results have shown that the region has the most both territorially and sectorial autonomy, which is due to the regions rightfullness to taxation right, which is high in the region and ensured by a strong catchment area.
