The aim of this Bachelor´s thesis is to describe the phenomenon ofmarketing. Four public libraries in the County of Kalmar have beenstudied in the aim to obtain information on their current marketingin the autumn of 2004, as well as their view of marketing and itssignification in connection to a vision that the Regional Library inKalmar has established. The vision is that the County of Kalmar isgoing to be the best Region of Libraries in Sweden in the year of2010. Target markets for the vision is the general public, studentsand entrepreneurs. The study has done a landing at an early stage ofthe vision, the starting point of which was in the year of 2001.

The aim of this study was to investigate and analyze what is required for the environmental quality objective Good built environment to be fulfilled by 2020 in the Swedish county Jämtland. The focus of the study was to gain an understanding of the work that the local government does and further investigate the problems that the officials face with implement these questions in themunicipal planning.The study is based on semi structured interviews with officials in the municipalities of Jämtland county. General plan and programs for the municipality have been reviewed, based on how the plans highlights these issues linked to sustainability and Good built environment.The results of the study show that there are major problems with the formulations of the environmental quality goal in itself and its specifications. The environmental quality goal is formulated to suit the entire Sweden. But as it turns out in the analysis it does not work on the basis of the conditions inJämtland with sparsely populated areas and scattered dwellings.

Today the ability to swim is taken for granted by most people. Most of Sweden?s adult population can swim which is reflected in the reduced number of accidental drownings. About 1900 AD when Sweden?s population was about five million the average drownings per year was 1100.

Mediation of fiction has always been one of the main tasks of the public library. The focus on information technology is often seen as a threat and competitor to this task. But technology can also offer new ways to mediate fiction, and the aim of this thesis is to examine how library websites and blogs can be used for this purpose. The research questions are:? What forms of fiction mediating material exist on library websites and blogs?? How is the fiction mediating material presented?? Are there any differences between the fiction mediating working methods on websites and blogs compared with those in physical libraries?The thesis is based on a qualitative content analysis of eight Swedish public library websites and three blogs, and on a theoretical frame work including literature and research on mediation of fiction, library websites and blogs, web design and usability.

I denna uppsats studeras stadsspråket i Umeå utifrån ett antal infödda och inflyttade Umeåbors subjektiva beskrivningar. Syftet är att beskriva Umeåbors uppfattning om talspråket i Umeå. En övergripande fråga är om det finns en uppfattning om en särskild Umeåsvenska, och hur denna varietet i så fall beskrivs och bedöms av Umeåborna. Vidare undersöks Umeåbornas uppfattning om dialektens betydelse för konstruktion av social identitet samt hur inflyttade Umeåbor resonerar om språklig anpassning till inflyttningsorten. Uppsatsen har en explorativ ansats och syftar till att utifrån en bred frågeställning utforska området för att ge uppslag till fördjupande forskning.Metoden för undersökningen är kvalitativa livsvärldsintervjuer med nio Umeåbor i åldrarna 19?80 år.

Sweden needs a policy that stimulates economic growth. Year 1996 the Business Reorganization Act (1996:764) came into force. The goal with this law was to savebusiness, make it profitable and avoid unnecessary bankruptcies. Shortly afterwards itturned out that the law had no positive effect. A very few numbers of companies appliedfor reconstruction and the number of applications for bankruptcies continued to increase.In 2004, in order to stabilize the situation and bring about neutrality between twoproceedings, company reorganization and bankruptcy, the government proposed thereform of priority rules.

This thesis is a study of Futurum.kom´s campaign "Lyssna dig rik". Futurum.kom is a regional marketing project between Länsbibliotek Sydost, Regionbibliotek Kalmar and 25 public libraries in the county of Blekinge, Kalmar and Kronoberg. The aim of the Futurum.kom project is to strengthen the role of the public library in society. "Lyssna dig rik" was a cluster group campaign with the aim of making people know about the possibilities of loaning audiobooks in libraries. The target group was lorry drivers in the age of 30-65 with the possibilities to listen to audiobooks at work.

It has become popular for political scientists to discuss the transformation from government to governance and the networks? greater influence on public policymaking. However, this debate lacks methodological, empirical and theoretical research about the relationship between governance networks and representative democracy. The main objective of this essay is to understand the relationship between governance networks and representative democracy through a case study of the governance network Leader Linné. The theoretical framework includes four analysis models about the relationship between governance networks and representative democracy that are analysed by five factors connected to representative democracy.

BackgroundResearch shows that the majority of patients feel anxiety before and during anesthesia. It has been shown in several studies that preoperative anxiety may cause adverse effects in the postoperative course. Nurse anesthetists have a key role in creating a safe environment and the opportunity to use different interventions to reduce the degree of anxiety.AimThe aim of the study was to examine which interventions may reduce anxiety in adult patients before and during both general, local and regional anesthesia.DesignSystematic literature review with a quantitative approach.ResultsSeveral studies indicate that gabapentin and pregabalin can reduce anxiety before and during anesthesia. The anxiety reducing effect appeared to be dose dependent. The naturopathic drugs Citrus aurantium blossom and Passiflora incarnata Linneaus were found to reduce anxiety before anesthesia.

Heartwood has always been a desirable part of the tree, due to it?s superior decay qualities com-pared to the sapwood. How the formation of heartwood works has been known for a long time, but which factors that initiates and stimulates the production are poorly understood. This case study presents the results of a study in which silvicultural treatments and site properties had a key position as factors to the formation of heartwood. According to the hypothesis the amount of sapwood is directly controlled by the size of the crown.

Slow Food-rörelsen tror på sitt gastronomiska koncept att nöjet av god mat inte bara är en grundläggande rättighet utan en viktig länk mellan platser, människor och kulturer. Att kunna skydda maten som kulturarv, tradition och kultur är vårt gemensamma ansvar som gör nöjet möjligt. Maten är inkluderad i många aspekter av livet som till exempel kultur, politik, natur, miljö, jordbruk och inte minst turism. Den är inte bara näring, rättighet och medel att mätta hunger utan en attraktion som lockar och skapar upplevelse. Maten var tidigare inte en huvudanledning att boka en resa utan den var en biprodukt och ett basalt behov som måste tillfredställas under vistelsen på en plats.

Aim: The aim for this study of Swedish daily press is to see how the musical reporting is structured for the newspapers I have chosen to analyse. My main purpose is to investigate how the newspapers reporting are distributed between artists who belong to either a major record company or an independent record company. With this research I want to find out if there are any economic backgrounds to the content and if the reporting is equal to the market production.Method/Material: For this study I have studied, by quantitative research, every piece of musical reporting in seven daily newspapers for two weeks. Through thorough research I have determined the belonging of every article?s record company.

SVT Nordnytt är Sveriges Televisions regionala nyhetsprogram för Norrbotten.Syftet med den här uppsatsen var att ta reda på hur sändningarna har nyhetsvärderats, hur de har sett ut utifrån ett semiotiskt perspektiv och hur de fungerat på teven som medium, utifrån SVT Nordnytts nyhetssändningar som gått 21:45 på vardagar.Vi använde oss av en kvalitativ innehållsanalys för att kunna svara på hur nyhetsvärderingen gått till och hur sändningarna fungerat på teven som medium. Vi använde oss även av en kvalitativ analys utifrån ett semiotiskt perspektiv, då vi analyserade de fyra högst nyhetsvärderade inslagen utifrån denotation och konnotation. Detta för att ta reda på hur sändningarna sett ut utifrån ett semiotiskt perspektiv.Vår slutsats var att SVT Nordnytt värderar nyheter om politik högst och att de följer den traditionella nyhetsvärderingen som vi har använt oss av i denna uppsats. De når även ut till publiken genom identifikation, men det är något SVT Nordnytt skulle kunna arbeta mer med. Genom att titta på vår undersökning utifrån ett semiotiskt perspektiv kom vi fram till att mycket av det som visas kodas på sådana sätt att bara ett visst kulturellt kollektiv kan förstå sändningarna.

During a time when the parents may need support, guidance and a sense of control ? the family might need to relocate to a hospital away from home if the child needs highly specialized medical care at a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Aim: The aim of this study is to investigate the parents? experience of having to change neonatal care unit.
