Syftet med denna uppsats är att empiriskt testa Browns jämviktsmodell, genom att på regionalnivå i huvudsak undersöka relationen mellan flöden av arbetskraft och arbetslöshet.Uppsatsen testar även för fler variabler för regionala karaktäristika som i tidigare litteraturanvänds för att förklara regional arbetslöshet. Med hjälp av poolad regression och upprepadetvärsnitt erhålls varierande resultat för observationsperioden 2007-2011. Den årsvisavariationen i resultatet är tydlig dels genom signifikansen hos de årsvisa intercepten iregressionen baserad på poolad data, men också på hur koefficienter varierar i de upprepadetvärsnitten. Detta leder oss till slutsatsen att Browns jämviktsmodell varierar i hur väl denfungerar empiriskt över observationsperioden. This thesig will portray the different types of students at the programs of library studiesin Lund &d Umeå.The study is based upon quantitative information gathered from a survey, which wasdistributed to first-year students in Lund and Umeå. The survey was followed by qualitativeinterviews with four students, and with the director of studies from each school.The study shows that the programs, as we11 as the students, are very similar, althoughthere are some minor diferences. It seemed that the students at Umeå were moreinterested4n culture than those at Lund.A certain connection between the aim at information and the ownership of a computercould be detected. The sex of the students played a major part in their choice of education.The attractors and facilitators, used by Lortie in his study, could also be appliedto the students at the program of library studies in our thesis..

Marketing research has acknowledged the concept of authenticity. It is argued that consumers in modern society increasingly search for something real, in contrast to what they perceive as mediated and distorted. Producers of regional food brands has acknowledged this trend, and started to market their products as being authentic. Given the potential practical and theoretical contributions in studying the concept of authenticity in this context, this study aims to explore how consumers perceive these claims of authenticity. Therefore, the purpose of this thesis is to extend knowledge on how consumers come to perceive a regional food brand as authentic.

Syftet med den här uppsatsen är belysa i vilken utsträckning planeringsprocessens kommunala och regional aktörer samverkar vid implementeringen av en del-regionalt syftande insats, samt vilken roll strategin om den regionala stadskärnan har i utvecklandet av del-regionen. En fallstudie har gjorts i Södertälje, där uppsatsen med hjälp av teorier kring polycentricitet och regional utveckling, samt en dokumentanalys och en intervjustudie undersöker vilka hinder och möjligheter som finns att arbeta i del-regionala områden, samt hur detta kan utveckla arbetet med regionala stadskärnor. Följande frågeställningar har formulerats:Vilken roll har samverkan spelat och spelar i utvecklingen av den regionala stadskärna?Har strategin stärkt aktörernas intresse för utvecklingen av del-regionen?På vilket sätt kan strategin stärka den framtida utvecklingen i del-regionen?Vilka lärdomar kan den här studien ge strategin om regionala stadskärnor i Stockholm?Slutsatsen som sedan har dragits är att samverkan haft liten roll i implementeringen av den regionala stadskärnan. Vad gäller strategins möjlighet att stärka del-regionen har ett flertal aspekter lyfts fram som tillsammans och var för sig påverkar intresset för och utvecklingen; del-regionens varierande rumsliga indelning, synen på strategin, synen på planeringsprocessen och synen på Södertälje som kommun, har alla på olika sätt inverkat negativt på intresset för den regionala stadskärnan och del-regionen.

Growth of small businesses is vital to the Swedish economy, and many entrepreneurs want their enterprises to grow. However, the business climate of today is more changing than ever, and attributes becoming increasingly important for companies in order to deal with this are flexibility, speed, and adaptability: characteristics normally attributed to small enterprises. As a larger organization often is associated with more rigidity as a consequence of a higher degree of formalization, entrepreneurs are hesitant to seize growth opportunities, as they fear it will have negative impact on the aforementioned competitive advantages their enterprise possesses as a small business. This simple case study of a growing small enterprise investigates the effects of organizational growth on a small business' organizational structure and through its above mentioned advantages. The study finds that avoiding formalization while growing damages the competitiveness of the firm, and concludes that a degree of formalization is a necessity to maintain the flexibility, speed and adaptability in a growing small business..

Det pågår många diskussioner kring mat i dagens samhälle. Temat för det här examensarbetet är svensk/regional mat i offentlig upphandling. Arbetets syfte har varit att göra en kartläggning av åtta kommuner i Mälardalen. Kartläggningen handlar om hur det ser ut i dagsläget angående inköpta volymer och belopp när det gäller olika produkter. Kartläggningen omfattar också information om produkterna är svenska/regionala samt hur nuvarande avtal med leverantörer ser ut när det gäller livsmedel inom den offentliga upphandlingen.

The aim of this study is to examine the experienced life situations of siblings growing up with a brother or a sister diagnosed with autism. The study is qualitative and therefore suitable to the purpose of studying the informants´ own experiences. Three women and one man, aged between 18-24 years, were interviewed through chatt programs on the Internet. The constituted perspective is phenomenological and the analysis were made by identifying meaning units in the text from the interviews. The theory used to interpret the result is systems theory and more specifically the structual family therapy by Salvador Minuchin.

Studien syftar till att undersöka regionaliseringsprocesser som innehåller infrastrukturutbyggnader, och se hur dessa påverkar mindre städer. Studien utgår från teorier om stadsbyggnadsideal, utarbetade av Krister Olsson och Tigran Haas (2013), teorier om regional utveckling (dromoregioner), platsidentitet, post-politik samt David Harveys indelning i absoluta, relativa och relationella rum. Genom att främst studera kommunala planer och arkitekters visioner, söker jag svar på frågor om hur det så kallade InterCity-projektet i Osloregionen hanterat frågan om stationslokalisering i Hamar, vilka ideal man kopplar till järnvägen, hur Hamars roll i olika regioner påverkas, samt om man kan dra några generella slutsatser om regionaliseringsprocessers påverkan på mindre städer. Resultatet visar att det saknas entydiga stadsplaneringsideal i visionerna, och att Hamar behöver definiera sin roll i de olika regioner där staden ingår..

This paper will portray the differences and similarities that exist between students whoattended the Swedish School of Library and Information Science in Borås.The study is based upon quantitative information gathered from a survey which wasdistributed to first-year students in Borås in the auturnn term 1994. A total of 77 studentsresponded to the survey.We also do a comparative study of the students at all the library programs in Sweden.This is partially based on the findings by a thesis prior to this one by the authorsSvalstedt and Österdahl.We found that the students in Borås differ mainly in their personal histories and backgrounds.When it comes to their attitudes towards the profession and educationalmatters they are similar. Further we found the same to be true in our comparison of thelibrary programs in total..

Hälsosam planering och hälsokonsekvensbeskrivning är två arbetsmetoder i planerings- och beslutsprocesser som har uppmärksammats inom folkhälsopolitiken. Skåne har anammat diskussionerna kring detta och utvecklat en välarbetad regional strategi inom ramen för de elva nationella folkhälsomålen. Ett projekt pågår nu med att undersöka hur hälsokonsekvensbeskrivningen ska implementeras i beslutsprocesser på kommunal- och regionalnivå. Metoden har svårigheter i form av otillräckliga kunskaper och bristfälliga datainsamlingar. Risken finns att intresset för hälsokonsekvensbeskrivning faller på grund av det.

The primary goal of this study was to investigate how the radial growth of retained trees responds after thinning-from-above. The National Board of Forestry which initiated this study, was interested in whether there were differences in the growth-response between the tree species Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris L.) and Norway spruce (Picea abies (L.) Karst.). Another question of issue was if there were differences in the growth response between trees of different sizes. It is within the framework of the National Board of Forestry?s, Continuous Forests Project that these urgent questions are to be answered.
