The purpose of this paper is to understand the climate of the street and how it can be modified to better meet the needs of the street and the user groups. At the same time the conditions of the street and its surroundings also has to be taken into account. To accomplish this it is necessary to have a broad knowledge of the climate conditions in the city. Therefore an overview of the climate elements and how these are modified in the built-up areas are given. The part of the paper which deals with the city climate has a global approach to be able to give an as complete picture as possible.

This essay is a discourse analysis of the integration politics of the different parties in the Swedish parliament and the non-parliamentary party ?the Swedish Democrats?, as it is presented on their respective web pages. The overall purpose is to problematize and shed a light on how the current discourse(s) about integration are constituted. Also of interest is how these construct our knowledge and experience of the phenomena. We furthermore want to illustrate the social consequences of such discourses on the construction and organization of identities and groups, and, as a result, the courses of action that becomes available.

When the population is getting older, the need for complex care and nursing interventions in elderly care increases. To create a holistic view of the elder and their life situation, interprofessional team collaboration is often desirable and necessary. Teamwork is often described in positive terms, but previous research has shown that this work method is complicated and requires constant Reflection and development. The purpose of this study was to investigate how elderly care teamwork is formed in the interaction between representatives of different professionals. To accomplish this purpose, we have studied how the team members define a well-functioning teamwork and difficulties, and how consensus is achieved in the team.

The purpose of this essay is to develop knowledge about how learning among employees is perceived to occur practically in a pre-school unit seen as a learning organization. From an employee perspective the intention was to gain an understanding of how they perceive the organization regarding employee learning in the workplace when it comes to in which contexts and what conditions that enable collaborative learning. Because learning organization is mostly a vision from a management perspective thereby it should in this case mostly be viewed as the context in which the employees work in.The essay is based on a qualitative research approach with eight semi-structured interviews. It was based on hermeneutics as method of analysis with the intention to gain an understanding of the employees' subjective perception. It is a case study on a selected pre-school unit in Stockholm.

The object of this paper is concerned with the subject youth and politics. The aim of the paper is to study what influence our today modern societies has between two social landscapes, Greece and Sweden and try to give an explanation to why young peoples political engagement is different in the two countries. To fulfil my aim of this paper I have used a few questions, these questions will give me an insight in how young people look at politics, what their interests are and if they feel that they can and ought to act political. The theoretical starting points I?ve used I?ve chosen with Reflection to look at the social landscape we live in and its changes over time.

The purpose of this study is to examine how the work with young people at home to care and accommodation (HVB) are organized in a municipality outside Karlstad and how the staff perceive emotions in the workplace. The issues that are discussed are based on the concepts of social ties, emotional labor, roles, shame and pride. The number of people who are fleeing in the world is today about 51 million. There has not been this high since World War II. The Swedish Migration Board calculated that about 7,000 of these people were unaccompanied children and came to Sweden in 2014.

The aim of this master thesis is to study the relationship between general ethics and professional ethics, to attain an understanding of which values that are given priority in the profession of the librarian regarding personal encounter towards library users. The posed questions are: How can fundamental ethical principles be understood through the view of public librarians? How can policy documents regarding librarian ethics be understood through the view of public librarians? How can policy documents regarding librarian ethics be problematized in relation to fundamental ethical principles? We used four focus groups consisting of public librarians. Three theoretical frameworks create the base of the analysis; four fundamental ethical principles, ethical guidelines for Swedish librarians and recommendations for Swedish librarians in the reference service. Three main issues emerge in the study; equalistic personal encounter where the principle of justice is emphasized but also problematized, library users? integrity which mainly coincide with the principle of autonomy and finally the librarian?s professional role which are being defined by librarian specific competence to refrain violation of the principle of injury avoidance.

Min essä handlar om en händelse som är självupplevd. Den beskriver att det finns brist på erfarenhet om interkulturellt förhållningssätt på vissa förskolor. Den beskriver även att jag och mina kollegor inte kunde hantera några situationer som man i förskolans värld kan hamna i. Dilemmat som framträder i händelsen handlar om brist på kunskap när det gäller interaktion mellan olika kulturer. Detta speciellt på de institutioner där den är som allra viktigast i samhället, nämligen i skolans- och förskolans värld.

Equality is a central aspect within development work. All development work is expected to be influenced by a gender equalty thinking, and these directions are distributed by the Department of Foreign Affairs, through Sida to Forum Syd and down to the very grasroot level, through Forum Syds local cooperation organisations. The essays question of research is a Reflection over empowerment, with other words how international organisations influence other societies understanding of the society dynamics. This aspect triggered my interest for the subject, aswell as the link between aid, equality and men, and how these factors are in need of eachother. My study is mainly build on theoretical starting points, and not on earlier studies.

Studiens syfte är att ta del av hur förskollärare beskriver vad som kännetecknar pedagogisk dokumentation samt hur de arbetar med den i verksamheten. Vi vill även belysa vilka möjligheter och begränsningar som förskollärarna ser i sitt arbete med arbetsverktyget. Intresset för ämnet har skapats under utbildningen och VFU (verksamhetsförlagd utbildning) då pedagogisk dokumentation förefaller vara ett arbetsverktyg som blir allt vanligare i förskolan. Det är en kvalitativ studie där semistrukturerade intervjuer har valts för att samla in det empiriska materialet. Studien baseras på fyra intervjuer med förskollärare som alla har läst eller läser kursen Pedagogisk dokumentation med IT-stöd på högskolan i Skövde.

Bakgrund: Sveriges befolkning lever allt längre och därmed ökar antalet äldre. Då den största riskfaktorn för att utveckla demenssjukdom är hög ålder, beräknas även antalet personer med demens att öka. Professionell omvårdnad anses idag vara den bästa behandlingen. Demensdagvård bedrivs inom kommunal demensvård och syftar till att erbjuda besökare social samvaro, struktur och meningsinnehåll. Reflektion möjliggör för omvårdnadspersonal att utbyta erfarenheter och utvecklas i sin yrkesroll.Syfte: Att beskriva och analysera ett reflekterande arbetssätt hos omvårdnadspersonal i demensdagvård.Metod: Kvalitativ intervjustudie, analyserad med stöd i kvalitativ innehållsanalys.Resultat: Det reflekterande arbetssättet är konstruktivt och sker genom en regelbunden och öppen kommunikation, vilket leder till ett medvetet förhållningssätt till besökaren och sina egna handlingar.

Diabetes mellitus är en växande folksjukdom. Risken att drabbas av diabetes mellitus typ II ökar med åldern därför benämns den även vuxen eller åldersdiabetes. Blodsockerreglering som normalt är en automatisk och osynlig funktion i kroppen, kräver vid diabetes mellitus en medveten handling. För de flesta patienter innebär diabetes mellitus stora livsstilförändringar som till exempel att ha regelbundna tider för matintag, motionera, sluta röka, begränsa gamla vanor och eventuellt medicinering. Ansvaret av behandling ligger ytterst hos patienten själv.

The number of persons with problems of abuse or addiction seeking care has increased during the last years in Sweden. Recent international studies show stigmatizing attitudes among nursing staff, which affect the treatment and care negatively. The purpose of this study was to describe experiences among nursing staff of treating persons with problems of abuse or addiction at an emergency department. The participants were six nurses and one assistant nurse who worked at an emergency department. The interviews were analyzed through qualitative content analysis.
