The aim of this thesis is to examine the characteristics of film cataloguing, and to compare general as in library use and specific as in archival use cataloguing rules. Most rules, both in archives and libraries, use the book as a point of reference. This is somewhat unfortunate on account of the great difference between books and films. The method used is studies of literature and qualitative interviews with three persons whose professional duties include cataloguing of films. The sets of rules which are studied are Katalogiseringsregler för svenska bibliotek KRS and The FIAF Cataloguing Rules for Film Archives.

I takt med att vi förbrukar samhällets resurser så ökar intresset för att ersätta oljebaserade material med likvärdiga baserade på cellulosa. Det forskas mycket kring nya cellulosabaserade material och dess egenskaper, och det presenteras även nya material som är mer eller mindre färdiga för produktion. Vid en produkts utveckling och framställning finns det ett stort antal olika material tillhands att välja ibland. De traditionella och etablerade materialen är väl undersökta och deras egen skaper är välkända och väl dokumenterade, men så är inte alltid fallet med nya material som kommer fram från forskningen. En uppfattning är att det kan vara svårt att få ett material att gå från att vara ett intressant, nytt material till att det faktiskt hittar sin väg in till en produktion eller till att ingå i en produkt.Syftet med arbetet är att det ska vara till hjälp för de personer som är involverade i ett materials framtagande i förståelsen av om vad intressenter efterfrågar från ett nytt material.

The aim for this essay is to identify and distinguish the metal casting of Uppåkra during late Iron Age by examine related material that primarily consist of finds made with a metal detector. I intend to, by analysing maps, concentrations in the detector material and probable constructions within the settlement, find patterns that can indicate a metal casting activity. The results of the essay show that a number of concentrations can be seen and that they both indicate metalworking activities and to some degree a structural specialization in the settlement. The exclusive artefacts also indicate that Uppåkra was a settlement with over-regional functions when it comes to traditions dealing with metal casting..

The objective of this study was to describe and analyze some of the conflicts in the class room using solution strategies from a human needs perspective. This was done by a qualitative in-vestigation based on the observations of the participants.The query of how every day conflicts arise in the class room and their reasons.The result was analyzed using reference frame in human needs theory. The results showed that there were several reasons for a conflict and its solution. It was also shown that creating a nice atmosphere in the class room was a continuous effort and the strategies of the teachers in a conflict situation were different depending on the situation. Svenska dagstidningar använder allt mer journalistiskt material producerat av nyhetsbyråer. I en majoritet av alla svenska medier upptas också en stor del av utrymmet av material som levererats från nyhetsbyråer. Användningen av centralt producerat material har kritiserats för att både likrikta medieinnehållet och för att minska mångfalden på dagspressmarknaden.   Det finns emellertid stora luckor i forskningen kring sportjournalistik och få forskare har tagit reda på hur stor andel av tidningars artiklar, notiser och krönikor på sportsidorna som faktiskt är skrivna av Tidningarnas Telegrambyrå eller någon annan nyhetsbyrå.   Denna undersökning visar nu att det finns en likriktning på sportsidorna i åtminstone Sundsvalls Tidning och Dagbladet, med avseende på användningen av centralt producerat material. Under två vanliga veckor år 2009 är 47 procent av den förstnämnda tidningens artiklar, notiser etc. skrivna av en eller flera nyhetsbyråer.

This paper deals with prehistoric charred organic material, interpreted as bread, found in graves and in the underlying settlement at Kalvshälla, Järfälla parish in Uppland. The aim was to categorize the organic material morphologically and with the help of Fourier transformed Infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) to see whether it was bread or not. Material from 13 graves (dated to Late Roman Iron Age until Viking Age) and 3 finds from the settlement have been analysed. Differences were noted both in shape, porosity and structure. Some of the material has been interpreted as cereal based foodstuff instead of bread due to morphological discrepancies.

The physical environment is constructed of materials. For architects with different orientations the material is one of the principal means by which they can express their idea. The material remains when the design process is finished and instead the material becomes a precondition for how people will perceive and deal with the place. The literature study of the essay examines how the concept of place and materiality is dealt with in different disciplines and how these descriptions are linked to the concept of place identity.

Abstract The growth of supra-national organizations, such as the European Union, has been a recent trend in today?s global environment, which has challenged traditional marketing concepts and product cues. One such cue that is significantly challenged is the 'origin cue'. An origin cue is conceived to be a socially constructed notion that consumers use to discern where goods come from and to accordingly evaluate products with. The origin cue is often predominantly materialized in the public sphere by a 'made in' labelling scheme.

Syftet med vårt arbete var att undersöka vad verksamma lärare anser om dagens material för trumsetsundervisning på nybörjarnivå, främst material avsett för kulturskolan och liknande skolformer. För att undersöka detta valde vi att först dela ut ett mindre antal enkäter och därefter göra fyra djupgående intervjuer med aktiva och behöriga trumlärare som har erfarenhet av att arbeta med trumsetsundervisning inom kulturskolan. Det visade sig att alla intervjupersoner ansåg att de undervisningsmaterial för nybörjartrummisar som existerar idag har många brister. Bland de brister som påpekades var t.ex. olika notationssätt, dåligt play- alongmaterial, avsaknad av genrebredd och att mycket av materialet helt enkelt är föråldrat.

The essay studies the relationship between communication and organizational culture; to determine if there are any cultural differences between the management of an organization and its employees and to examine how a difference can affect the communication of organizational policies. A case study, where the public school was examined, was used to answer the research question, and interviews were held with relevant people on different levels in the organization.The interviews were analyzed with the theoretical frame of reference as a benchmark. Cultural differences could be identified between different levels in the organization and between the two schools studied. The radio is a medium we often listen to whilst doing something else. We wake up, do the dishes, cook or drive to work. Radio as a medium reaches many people, regardless of whether it is through conscious or unconscious listening. We thereby thought it was an important medium to scrutinize in our study. The focus of our study is on the gender representation in P3 Nyheters broadcasts.

This Master?s thesis concerns the question why a public library establishes a special room for young people and how the young people can influence the activities. I have made interviews with two librarians and four teenagers from a reference group. I have also made an observation of the room. The most important theories are Pierre Bourdieu?stheory of symbolic capital and Mats Lieberg?s theory of free zones.

Bakgrunden till examensarbetet var att fördjupa mig i olika material och hur man på olika sätt kan använda sig av dem i grundskolans slöjdundervisning.Syftet med arbetet var att få en bredare kunskap om olika material och deras användningsområden.Metoder jag använde var främst litteratursökning, två intervjuer med verksamma slöjdlärare samt provade på de olika materialen och tekniker som jag hittade.Resultatet blev en form av handbok med de olika materialen där även standardmaterialen är med. Standardmaterialen har jag med då jag upplevt att elever många gånger inte vet hur de materialen beter sig. Det jag fann mest intressant i arbetet var allt jag lärde mig då jag provade på olika material, och även allt jag läste om de materialen jag har med i resultatet..

The purpose of this essay is to describe and analyze how three leisure centers in Örebrocounty are working with gender issues. Our research questions are:What is Machofabriken? How do leisure centers in Örebro county work with equal treatment?In which way do leisure centers in Örebro county work with Machofabriken?s material? Howcome the recreation centers in Örebro don?t use Machofabriken?s material to any greaterextent?We have focused on masculinity oriented gender projects at three leisure centers. We didsemi-structured interviews with three recreation leaders who have all been educated inMachofabriken. The interviews were analyzed based on terms that are central in genderequality and masculinity research.
