Åmotfors Bruk AB (ÅBAB) has today an inefficient production of steam for the manufacturing of paper. Unpredictable energy prices and modernisation of the current equipment has been the underlying factors to invest in a thermal power plant, mainly driven by garbage. This facility will not only use the steam for paper production, it will also generate electricity through a steam turbine. Today, when a fault on the supplying line occurs which leads to disconnection of the external grid, all the support of electricity to Åmotfors Bruk (ÅB) will disappear. This will lead to major interruptions in the paper production, which will cause severe economical losses.

Den här uppsatsen behandlar olika människors upplevelser och uppfattningar i och kring sinnesrogudstjänsten. Sinnesrogudstjänsten har växt fram ur ett samarbete mellan tolvstegsandligheten och den kristna kyrkan. Jag har intervjuat besökare från sinnesrogudstjänster i Staffans kyrka i Gävle [Svenska kyrkan] och Missionskyrkan i Hudiksvall. Deras upplevelser har jag kartlagt och delat in i kategorier enligt den fenomenografiska metoden. Min uppgift har för det första varit denna kartläggning av besökarnas upplevelser och för det andra att försöka ge svar på mina frågeställningar vad som attraherar i denna gudstjänst samt vad den har att erbjuda för dagens människor.

My objective for this project was to create a short but thrilling 2D-animation intended as promotion for an online comic book. The purpose of the project was to learn more about animation and graphics, to further my artistic skills and to learn how to work in Adobe After Effects. I also wanted to learn more about scheduling, project methods and how to handle stress. During the ten weeks of the project I have created the story, the storyboard, the character design, the backgrounds and the animation. The voice over was recorded with the help of a fellow student who also made the music and the sound effects.

Föreliggande rapport redovisar resultat från den svenska pilotstudien inom det internationella s.k. SINR-projektet (Societal Images of Natural Recovery). Detta projekt syftar till ökad kunskap om hur olika synsätt, hos allmänheten såväl som inom olika professionella grupper, påverkar människor möjligheter att komma tillrätta med olika former av missbruk. Som ett första steg i projektet har i hittills sex större städer i fem olika länder ett mindre antal svarande, representerande olika samhällsgrupper, tillfrågats om sin uppfattning om möjligheterna att på egen hand ta sig ur olika slag av missbruksproblem. Den svenska pilotstudien har, på uppdrag av FoU-enheten, av tre socionomstuderande vid Stockholms universitet i form av ett examensarbete.

Farmers are required to make sure that cattles basic needs are met, but still every year cases of neglect occur where the farmer has not complied within the animal welfare law and regulations. The aim of this study was to investigate how cattle are affected physically and behaviourally by neglect in the form of underfeeding, starvation and lack of sanitation, which animals are most vulnerable to the impact and what prospects they have to recover. The study was conducted as a literature study and the results show that these types of neglect have a large impact on the cattle welfare. Underfeeding and starvation causes physical changes leading to reduced milk production, reduced muscle mass, impaired immune function, poor reproductive performance and changes in rumen microflora leading to decreased number of microbes and pH change. Physical changes due to the lack of sanitation consist of increased vulnerability to hoof diseases and mastitis, burns, and increased sensitivity to temperature.

Our everyday life is becoming more active and the activities we perform influence the way we dress. Due to an increase in activities undertaken in an urban environment, demands are changing and the need for active wear that meets the new demands follow suit. The four characters represented in the research can be seen as a reflection of the functional features needed, including base layer, mid layer/insulation and shell.Despite the increase in activities, most of our clothes are still constructed on static dummies or drafted on a table in 2D and the main developments within the active sportswear field is driven by material innovation. By creating garments on a body in movement, my aim is to develop new functions and expression in active sportswear through construction.Construction methods in active sportswear are examined and understood through observations and reconstructions and constitute the foundation of a study of movement for a design recovery.The movement and features required for leading an active urban life sets the direction of the development of new func- tional garments. A series of trial and error sessions and draping fabric on a live model in movement created the prototypes used in functionality tests to establish their feasibility.

Det övergripande syftet med vår studie är att undersöka hur intensiv lästräning under en sexveckorsperiod kan påverka ordavkodningsförmågan samt ta del av elevernas upplevelser av det arbetet. Våra frågeställningar är: I vilken utsträckning utvecklas elevernas ordavkodningsförmåga under sexveckors intensiv lästräning? Hur upplever eleverna det intensiva tidsbegränsade insatserna? Vilka tendenser kan vi se beroende på om eleverna genomför intensiv lästräning individuellt eller i liten grupp? I vilken utsträckning utvecklas de elever som också låg under TIL:s gränsvärde, men som inte genomförde intensiv lästräning? Mycket av tankarna inom intensiv lästräning återfinns inom den sociokulturella teorin där inlärning sker i samspel med någon annan, samt inom elevens proximala utvecklingszon. Vår studie har både kvalitativ och kvantitativ forskningsansats, eftersom vi har genomfört halvstrukturerade elevintervjuer samt tagit del av testresultat. Resultatet visar efter genomgången intensiv lästräning att samtliga elever ökat sin ordavkodningsförmåga samt stärkt sin självkänsla som läsare.

SammanfattningSyftet med denna uppsats är att skapa djupare förståelse för kvalitetsbegreppet i en tjänsteleverantörs kundservice. Uppsatsen utreder även hur kvalitetsbegreppet skiljer sig åt beroende på varför kunden kontaktar kundservice. På grund av tjänsters abstrakta natur blir kvalitet i dessa sammanhang svårt att definiera. När tjänsten dessutom är av homogen karaktär, som exempelvis för en elleverantör, hamnar fokus ofta på pris. Detta kan bero på att det är det enklaste sättet att differentiera sig från konkurrenters erbjudande, speciellt när kvalitetsbegreppet är abstrakt.

Abstract The purpose of this project is to develop a modular processor card which is intended to work as a platform for Kitron Development Karlskoga. The modular processor card is meant to be used as a control system in development projects, mainly in medical and industrial products. The processor card will consist of a central unit with the basic functions for a control system. Furthermore there will be complete modules with machine commodity and programming, to pick exactly the necessary functions for a specific application. With consideration to the specification of the development and the main unit, I chose an adequate microprocessor (AT90CAN32) as core and interface circuits to stated border areas. The construction is first completed in the program MultiSim and then remade in the program OrCAD Capture. The programming language C was used in the software model.

Under våren 2005 utförde Johan Öberg och Henrik Rautio Berguv sitt examensarbete vid Land Systems Hägglunds (LSH) i Örnsköldsvik. LSH tillverkar en rad olika banddrivna militära fordon bl. a stridsfordonet CV90. Det finns flera versioner av CV90, en av dem är CV90 ARV(Armoured recovery vehicle). På den nuvarande versionen av CV90 ARV finns en lyftkran monterad ovanpå vänster bandhylla.

Syfte och frågeställningarSyfte med denna studie var att undersöka löpträningens effekter på välbefinnandet med hjälp av Emotional Recovery Questionnaire (EmRecQ).- Hur påverkar löpträning välbefinnandet?- Hur påverkar styrketräning välbefinnandet i jämförelse med löpträning?- Hur påverkar tv-tittande välbefinnandet i jämförelse med löpträning?MetodFör att besvara frågeställningarna användes en kvantitativ metod av experimentell karaktär. Deltagare till studien rekryterades på två träningsanläggningar och 36 vuxna deltagare utförde tre aktiviteter: löpträning, styrketräning och tv-tittande under tre skilda tillfällen under olika dagar. Deltagarna fyllde i en enkät inom 30 minuter före och efter varje aktivitet. Enkäten innehöll skattningsskalan EmRecQ.

The system tungsten-oxygen has potential of being suitable for decorative coatings since ceramic coatings are often hard and wear resistant, and since modulations in oxygen content or incorporation of small ions could give bright colours. The aim of this report was to investigate the relationship between process parameters and  the properties of the films, with the wear resistance being of special interest.Samples with tungsten to oxygen ratios in the range of 100:0 to 25:75 at% were made using reactive sputter deposition, either with constant gas flow, or gas flow controlled by optical emission of the plasma. The hysteresis of the system, which means that a certain gas flow will cause different pressure and/or target voltage depending on in what way the flow is reached, makes it interesting to control the process where the system makes the steep change from metallic tungsten to ceramic tungsten oxide. This is difficult and thus requires precise control equipment.The samples were analysed using X-ray diffraction, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and an empirical wear test suitable for small components like cell phone cover for example, in order to characterize the structure, composition and wear resistance of the coatings. The results could be divided into three groups: (I) tungsten-like, with very low oxygen content; (II) mixed phase and (III) tungsten oxide like, with oxygen content close to 75 at%.

Injuries of the superficial digital flexor tendon are common in racehorses with many reports on different treatment regimes. However there are few studies in riding horses. The purpose of this study was to document the result of conservative treatment of injuries on the superficial digital flexor tendon in riding horses and to find factors that may be important to the outcome. Hospital records from 1999 to 2003 of 17 non-racehorses at ATGs Animal Hospital in Skara with the diagnosis tendonitis of the superficial digital flexor tendon were reviewed. Follow-up information on treatment, convalescence and final outcome was collected.

Bakgrund: Personer med schizofreni har lägre livslängd, drabbas av fler livsstilssjukdomar och är mindre fysiskt aktiva än befolkningen i övrigt. Syfte: Syftet var att undersöka vad personer med schizofreni har för uppfattning och kunskap om fysisk aktivitet samt att undersöka upplevelsen av fysisk aktivitets påverkan på den egna hälsan. Metod: Studien är en explorativ kvalitativ studie med sex respondenter som deltog i en intervju. Kvalitativ innehållsanalys användes för att bearbeta materialet. Resultat: Resultatet visade att kunskap om fysisk aktivitets goda effekter på hälsan fanns bland respondenterna.

The aim of this descriptive literature study was to describe the patients? experience of the need for social support and the choice of coping strategies during treatment for eating disorders. Further, the authors wanted to describe the relationship with the parents and also to highlight the caring relationship between nurse and patient. Results that came to light, concerning the patients? experience, were that patients with eating disorders, in a majority of studies, indicated a deficient social network.
