Bakgrund och problemdiskussion: I takt med att vår omgivning blir mer digitaliserad skapasvarje dag, timme och sekund allt mer data. De stora datamängder som skapas går underbenämningen ?big data? och kan förklaras som stora datamängder som överskrider kapacitetenför vad ett vanligt databassystem kan hantera. Genom big data kan företag få ökad informationoch kunskap om sina kunder och därmed få ett bättre underlag till sina Customer Intelligencelösningar.Big data är på många sätt lovande men det kvarstår en del utmaningar, bådeaffärsmässiga och tekniska innan det kan anammas fullt ut. Arbete och hantering av data tar idagupp cirka 7-10 % av bankers rörelseresultat och frågan är hur de skulle kunna utvinna och lagradenna data på ett effektivt sätt.

The subject for this paper is the Class Action against Skandia Association, a civil organization formed in 2003 with the aim of claiming compensation for some 1.2 million life insurance customers. The background to its formation was one of the largest financial scandals in Sweden in recent times, involving a number of questionable affairs within the insurance corporation Skandia and its subsidiaries, most notably the life insurance company Skandia Liv. The interests of both the stake- and stockholders of the company seem, in certain ways, to have been grossly misrepresented. The scandal, as well as the reaction it spawned, pose a number of questions. In this study, we focus on two: a possible, and in many ways apparent crisis in the representation of interests in Swedish society, and the role of civil society in upholding the balance between these interests.We argue that what is often held to be the ?greed? or ?immorality? of individuals in scandals such as Skandia is, to a great extent, a mere reflection of the ?rational? underpinnings of modern-day capitalism.We find that trust has been a key mechanism of control in the relationships between consumers and agents in pension and life insurance markets, and that ?the Swedish model? that distinguished post-WWII Swedish society was a model heavily based on trust towards existing models of bureaucratic governance.

Dock saknas det tydliga regler huruvida informationsutbyte omfattas av artikel 101.1 FEUF, som reglerar konkurrensbe- gränsande företeelser på marknaden.Kommissionen har meddelat att artikel 101.1 FEUF bör omfatta informationsutbyte, ef- tersom det kan påverka ett företags självständighet att ta beslut. Detta har även fastslagits av domstolen och artikeln måste därför anses omfatta informationsutbyte.

All since Thomas Kuhn?s strongly influential The Structure of Scientific Revolutions the Philosophy of Science and ?even more so ?the Social Sciences have contained a greater amount of theories that could be described as more or less relativistic, meaning that the standards of justification or truth thereafter more often were said to be relative to language, culture, or biological makeup. One of the more elaborate ways of developing Thomas Kuhn?s theories in a more relativistic direction ismade by the philosopher Richard Rorty. Rorty, mainly a supporter of Thomas Kuhn, is also a philosopher who has been seen as a main exponent of a so called Postmodern philosophy.My intention in this thesis is to evaluate whether Kuhn's and Rorty's theories of science and knowledge could be regarded as relativism, in respects of their view of incommensurability, rational argumentation, and of their position vis-á-vis the more conventional picture of scientific knowledge and truth.

This essay focus on the social media Twitter and how three Swedish PR practitioners view and use communication strategies for this social media. Twitter was created 2006 and is kind of a new channel in the digital world. The micro blog has over these few years attracted 175 million users across the world. In Sweden there is 91 000 registered users and according to a survey, 11 000 of them are active by tweeting once a day.Twitter is highly current and all kinds of people are using the social media, for example, artists, companies and individuals. Twitter is with its highly number of users building a new market for organizations to find their stakeholders.

Syftet med min studie är att problematisera förskollärares arbete med och uppfattning om barns emotionella intelligens samt vilka egenskaper som kan främja utvecklingen av denna förmåga hos förskolebarn. Studiens bakgrund belyser bland annat emotionell intelligens som begrepp, emotionell intelligens i förhållande och relevans till förskolans verksamhet samt känslors uppkomst och utveckling ur både ett relationellt och biologiskt perspektiv. Den teoretiska referensramen belyser Bordieu (1977) och Vygotskijs (1978) betydelsen av uppväxtvillkoren och den sociala praxis individen ingår i vid utveckling av den emotionella kapaciteten. Focaults (2003) maktperspektiv illustrerar hur värden och normer i samhället fungerar som en beteendedisciplinerande maktutövning då individen rättar sig i ledet för normaliteten för att undvika utanförskap. Empirin består av en fokusgruppsintervju med tre förskollärare.

Ett sätt för företag att ständigt utvecklas och driva en vinstdrivande verksamhet är att fokusera på kvalitetsarbetet. Total Quality Management (TQM) är ett kvalitetsarbetssätt som utgår från företagets kunder, som likaså skapar förväntningar på företagets produkter. För företagsledningen innebär detta att förstå kundens förväntningar, tolka förväntningarna och förmedla dem till resten utav verksamheten. Företagsledningens ansvar är att organisera produktionsprocessen på ett vis som möjliggör ökad kontroll av kvaliteten och samtidigt bidrar med kvalitetssäkrad information för resten av verksamheten, medarbetarna.

It is important to ensure and develop the Swedish model for riding schools, since the pupils at a Swedish riding school learn both to ride and to handle horses. There is a pronounced problem of stagnation and in some cases a reduced demand in several of the equine industry sectors including breeding with decreased coverings. The aim of this study was to cast light on how representatives from the horse industry looks at riding schools and their recruitment of horses in the next five years. The research issue was ?Will there be difficulties regarding horse recruitment in 2020 and in that case, what are the consequences?? The results of this work consist mostly of material from a workshop on how the riding school will be affected by reduced breeding in the future.

The aim of this study is to make clear the conception ?Sustainable Urban Development? through an investigation dealing with how the sustainable goals are attained in today?s Swedish urban planning. And also try to clarify where and why sustainable development is failing or lacking. Besides that I have investigated how actors take position towards urban sustainability. CPM utgör beslutsstöd som erbjuder djupare analyser och som fångar upp företags intresse. Stora investeringar av CPM genomförs i bolag, trots att viss oenighet om innebörden finns. Studier och forskning i ämnet är få, varför vårt intresse för studien väcktes.

This essay aims to emphasize and clarify the positions that exist within the current globalization debate. The positions are the neo-liberal, the opponents, the pragmatists and the skeptics. The text presents and explains their ideological, moral and political positions and beliefs about the world, the nation state, the society and the individual; in light of Steven Lukes? and Antonio Gramsci's theories regarding the interaction and the relationship between power and hegemony. The methodological starting point is the ideology-critical analysis; in which their arguments in the current globalization debate is highlighted and categorized.

As EU?s authority increased the number of lobbies in Brussels grew. Today there are approximately 15 000 lobbyists in Brussels. EU decisions and EU directives can have a huge impact on companies and organizations. They can however influence these decisions and directives through lobbying.

Globalization has indeed had a great impact on international relations and with it a great influence on the domestic conditions that determine a nation?s possibilities. It is therefore rational to hold true that this also would apply to a nation?s democratic process.

The literature on spelling and spelling development suggests there is a strong relationship between spelling and phonology (Bruck & Treiman, 1990; Caravolas, Hulme & Snowling, 2001; Craig, 2006; Gindri, Keske-Soares & Mota, 2007). Spelling, however, is considerably less researched than reading (Caravolas, Humle & Snowling, 2001). Spelling difficulties are known to be more persistent in people with reading and writing disabilities, even when their reading has become acceptable (Høien & Lundberg, 1999) but more research is needed in this area. Assessment and detailed knowledge of the difficulties is of great importance in order to provide the appropriate help for children with reading and writing disabilities (Frisk, 2010; Magnusson, Nauclér, & Reuterskiöld, 2008). The purpose of the present study was to develop and try out a phonologically based spelling test for children, with focus on medial phonemes.
