Studiens syfte var att jämföra hur patienter som skall få en subkutan venportinlagd och lokalbedövas enligt en lokalbedövningsmodell, skattade smärta underingreppet, samt att undersöka om det fanns något samband mellan preoperativoro och smärta under ingrepp.Studien var en deskriptiv, jämförande studie och utfördes med en kvantitativmetod, med hjälp av enkäter, där patienterna bland annat fick skatta oro ochsmärta med hjälp av Numeric Rating scale. Studien genomfördes på patienter,vilka skulle få en subkutan venport inlagd. Fyrtiofem patienter deltog i studien.Tolv patienter av totalt 45, (27 %), skattade sin oro över tre på NRS. Antalpatienter vilka skattade sin smärta över tre på de olika momenten var på bedövningsmomentet13 patienter, (29 %), på dilatationsmomentet 21 patienter, (47%) och på momentet borttagande av operationstejp 13 patienter, (29 %). Ingensignifikant skillnad kunde mätas mellan momenten, inget signifikant sambandmellan oro och smärta kunde mätas och ingen signifikant skillnad i smärta mellaninneliggande patienter och polikliniska patienter kunde mätas.Patienterna skattade smärtan under ingreppet relativt lågt men nästan hälftenav patienterna skattade smärtan över tre på dilatationsmomentet.

Psykometriska egenskaper presenteras från en nyöversatt självskattningsskala för funktionsnedsättning vid social fobi. Liebowitz Self-Rated Disability Scale (LSRDS) avser att undersöka hur ångestproblem kopplade till olika funktionsområden hindrat normal funktion dels de senaste två veckorna och dels när det varit som värst i livet. LSRDS har acceptabel test-retest reliabilitet och god intern konsistens. Den diskriminativa valideten i LSRDS är god i jämförelse mellan normalgrupp och klinisk grupp. I samband med en kognitiv beteendeterapeutisk behandling av åtta individer med social fobi har skalan provats och förefaller fånga förändringar i funktionsförmåga.

As a small and land scarce country, effective waste management is ofoutmost importance in Singapore. In this study the production of biogasthrough anaerobic digestion from the organic fraction of municipal solidwaste (OFMSW) was compared to incineration of the waste. At the momentalmost all of the OFMSW in Singapore is incinerated. Three differentscenarios were compared to the reference scenario (incineration): one with alarge scale biogas plant that can treat half of all OFMSW in Singapore, onewith a medium scale biogas plant about 15 times smaller than the large oneand one with a small scale biogas plant that can treat waste from e.g. ashopping center or a food center.By using life cycle assessment (LCA) the different scenarios were comparedin terms of global warming potential (GWP), acidification, eutrophication,energy use and land use.

This study focuses on small scale hydropower in Sweden. This means plants with a capacity of up to 10 MW. The study has a special focus on plants with a capacity up to 2 MW. The study has three aims. It strives to describe the small-scale hydroelectric industry in Sweden.

Background: Mental ill-health among adolescents is one of the most increasing public health problems in Sweden. Particularly girls suffer from mental and psychosomatic symptoms. The National Board of Health and Welfare recommend the DISA method as a preventive measure. Problem: Investigations has been done of the DISA method, but further investigations needs to be done. Aim: The aim of the study was partly to investigate how participants in DISA groups in two counties understand the method and its eventual effect and partly how their mood change, to contribute with knowledge to the development of the DISA method.

My questions at issue for this report has it´s beginning in the growing problems of thenegative effects of burning fossile fuels and the rapidly growing energyprices.1. Is it possible to design a micro scale powerplant?2. Is it economically interesting for a potential customer to by such a product?The aim with this report is therefor, with the help of design work and calculations, to answerthese questions and to create a platform for building a fully functional micro scale powerplant.The material used in the report is mostly product catalogs from various industries but alsostudy course littrature about steam engines.The result of the report is that it is fully possible to design a fully functional micro scalepower plant.

Theory of mind är att kunna tillskriva andra människor mentala tillstånd som förklarar deras beteenden. Dessa mentala tillstånd kan röra sig om uppfattningar, intentioner eller känslor.    Theory of Mind Scale är en bedömningsskala utformad av Wellman och Liu (2004), som undersöker olika nivåer av theory of mind. Theory of Mind Scale är uppbyggd i skalsteg med stigande svårighetsgrad. Syftet med föreliggande studie var att översätta Theory of Mind Scale från engelska till svenska samt validera bedömningsskalan för barn mellan 3 och 4 år. Studien syftade även till att se om det fanns ett samband mellan dessa barns förmåga till theory of mind, impressiva grammatiska förmåga och impressiva ordförråd.      Valideringen i föreliggande studie visade att skalstegen i den amerikanska originalversionen av Theory of Mind Scale var applicerbara på barnen i föreliggande studie, med undantag för den sista uppgiften.

The Swedish production of biogas was 1,5 TWh 2011. About half of the production was used as vehicle fuels. The cost for upgrading biogas depends on the size of the biogas plant and its gas production. If the gas flow is low the cost will be high. However, further development of existing upgrading technologies or development of new ones, have good potential to decrease the upgrading cost for small scale biogas plants.

Föreliggande studies syfte var att undersöka behandlingseffekten av ett Internetbaserat självhjälpsprogram med e-poststöd, för personer med olika typer av ångestproblematik. Ett ytterligare syfte var att undersöka behandlingsresultaten när deltagaren själv fick förfoga över behandlingens upplägg och innehåll. Huvudkomponenten i behandlingen utgjordes av sammanlagt 16 moduler hämtade från tidigare Internetbehandlingar riktade mot social fobi, paniksyndrom, generaliserat ångestsyndrom samt depression.Behandlingsgruppen utgjordes av 27 individer som varit kontrollgrupp i en tidigare behandlingsstudie. För samtliga deltagare pågick behandlingen tio veckor. Beroendevariabler utgjordes av självskattningsformulären Clinical Outcome in Routine Evaluation ? Outcome Measure, Beck Anxiety Inventory, Montgomery Åsberg Depression Rating scale ? Self Rated, Quality Of Life Inventory, resultat på SCID-intervjuer samt kodning av totala symtom.

Studies in Sweden have shown that about 80% of all youth in Sweden have participated in organized sport during their upbringing but at the age of 20 only 50% of these continue. There have been several attempts to understand why youth stop participating in sports but few aimed to understand why they continue. The objective of this study was to examine if there is a difference in motivation between youth (in the ages of 16-20 years) who participate in recreational and elite sports. The study was carried out as a quantitative survey where both recreational (n=35) and elite athletes (n=33) particpated. The study used a Sport Motivation Scale questionnaire translated into Swedish.

Smärta är en unik upplevelse som enbart den drabbade kan bedöma. I sjuksköterskans arbetsuppgifter på en akutmottagning ingår att se till varje patients unika behov. För att inte ett vårdlidande skall skapas för patienter med smärta är det viktigt att en korrekt behandling för smärtan ges. För att detta skall kunna ske krävs att sjuksköterskan på akutmottagningen, dels har god kunskap om smärtlindring dels vet hur smärta kan utvärderas på ett adekvat sätt. Syftet är att beskriva resultat från kvantitativa studier som undersökt överensstämmelse mellan patientens subjektiva smärtskattning av akut smärta och vårdpersonalens skattning av densamma.

I denna studie undersöktes hur 291 individer som genomgått en Gastric Bypass för mer än två år sedan skattade sin psykosociala hälsa. Syftet med studien var att undersöka samband mellan den psykosociala hälsan och hur länge respondenterna hade varit opererade, eventuell viktuppgång samt hur länge i livet respondenterna haft obesitas. Mätinstrumenten som användes var Satisfaction With Life Scale (livstillfredsställelse), Social Physique Anxiety Scale (social kroppsångest) samt Rosenberg Self- Esteem Scale (självkänsla). Resultaten visade att ju längre tid det var sedan patienterna opererades samt ju mer patienterna ökade i vikt, desto lägre skattades den psykosociala hälsan. Vidare skattade de patienter som varit obesa hela livet, högre social kroppsångest jämfört med patienter som rapporterade att de haft perioder i livet som normalviktiga..

This report is focused on marketing opportunities for small-scale mango farmers in the Nyanza Province in Kenya. Kenya is a large horticultural producer in the world. Horticulture is an important income for a large share of the rural population in Kenya but profitability is low due to inefficiencies in marketing systems and poor infrastructure. The conditions for growing mango in the Nyanza Province are very beneficial and there are two harvesting seasons. Mango offers good income opportunities for small-scale farmers in the Nyanza Province.The aim of this study is to identify marketing conditions that will enable prospering business for small-scale mango farmers in the Nyanza Province, Kenya.

Motivation är en viktig drivkraft för individers beteende. Den har betydelse för att handlingen såväl påbörjas som uppehålls. Forskning inom området har konstaterat att motivation uppkommer av både inre och yttre faktorer samt att en del handlingar är relativt omotiverade. Den hierarkiska modellen för inre och yttre motivation anger även att motivation förekommer på flera nivåer inom individen. Studien undersökte relationen mellan högskolestudenters kontextbundna motivation, globala självkänsla och generaliserade locus of control.
