Konfliktrelaterat sexuellt våld är ett fenomen som fått stor internationell uppmärksamhet under de senaste två decennierna. Det har talats om passiva och sårbara kvinnor som brutalt våldtagits av uniformklädda män. I realiteten drabbas dock även män och pojkar av sexuellt våld och våldtäkt, likväl gör sig kvinnor och flickor skyldiga till sexuella övergrepp i konflikter. UN Action är det internationella organ som FN använder för att kordinera sitt arbete mot konfliktrelaterat sexuellt våld och denna uppsats syftar till att analysera UN Action:s diskursiva representationer av förövarna och offren. Dessa representationer diskuteras mot bakgrund av tidigare forskning som har dekonstruerat de hegemoniska representationerna av det konfliktrelaterade sexuella våldets förövare (män) och offren (kvinnor), samt påvisat andra kontignenta diskursiva representationer; så som ?män och pojkar som offer? samt ?kvinnor och flickor som förövare?.

The purpose of this study is to examine constructions of plaintiff [woman] and the defendant [man] in Swedish Rape convictions from 2013. The cases in this study cover acquaintance Rape. We also intend to analyze the constructions of the sexes in relations to each other. The study is completed by a qualitative text analysis, with inspiration of a hermeneutic interpretation. The result is presented by four categories: the worthy of protection of the woman, the penalty of the man, the complicity of the woman and credibility.

In 2008 USA was the one country that had the most people behind bars, both in numbers andpercentage, 2,3 million people. Of all the male convicts that were being held in custody aroundthe country's different detention facilities, thousands of them were being exposed to sexualabuse, such as Rape. This essay will try to understand why there hasn?t been a bigger public outcryin the American community concerning this. It does so by studying the view of Rape as a crime ofgender, by examining religion in USA and the Christian view on homosexuality, looking into thepublics thoughts on prisons and the penalty's purpose plus studying theory's of the publics viewon the prisoner.

If the content of the plants is above the threshold limit value, entire yields may have to be destroyed. In order to prevent contamination or decrease the content countermeasures can be taken. The impact of the biomass, leaf area index (LAI) and growth stage of the plant on the interception and retention is important to know in order to decide which countermeasures to use. Weather may also be an important factor. In this work the interception and retention of 134Cs and 85Sr by spring wheat, ley and spring oil-seed Rape was studied.

As for today, a large quantity of protein feeds is imported from other countries to be used in the Swedish dairy production. The main import is soya from Brazil. The soya-production in Brazil results in negative consequences for the natural environment in the area, and the long transport of the feeds requires a lot of energy. The organic dairy production in Sweden is, with the highest probability going to be forced to use 100 % organic feed to the cows in the year 2005, due to new EU-rules. These are some of the causes why there are reasons to look closer at the possibilities to feed Swedish cows with only Swedish feeds. In this study, I have looked at the KRAV-rules for organic feeding, where the goal is feeding with only KRAV-approved feeds.

Oilseed Rape is an important crop in Sweden and is grown on about 90000 ha today. The interest in oil seed pro-duction is increasing because of growing demand and high prices for oil seed both in Sweden and Europe. However, an increased intensity in the oil seed production can bring higher risk of yield losses due to fungal diseases. The purpose of this study was to investigate what different fungi are associated with oilseed Rape under field conditions and if their incidence is correlated to crop establishment problems. This study was carried out in three parts: 1) investigations on fungal community structure in roots and rhizosphere soils from young spring- and winter Rape plants sampled in failed respectively good establishment patches in four fields, 2) investigations on the pathogenicity of fungi isolated from oilseed Rape in controlled environment and 3) investigations on the effect of different fungicide seed treatments on germination and early plant development in a field soil naturally infested with damping off- and Verticillium wilt pathogens. The studies on community structure using a combined approach of standard fungal isolation techniques and DNA based methods revealed a high fungal diversity in three out of four studied fields of spring Rape and winter Rape. For some unknown reason, very few fungal species were identified from the fourth field.

The purpose of this paper is to examine what problems cabbage growers have with the Swede Midge. The last few years the Swede Midge, Contarinia nasturtii, has become a larger problem for cabbage growers in several countries in Europe as well as in Sweden. In Canada the problems are so severe that the midge is classified as a quarantine pest and therefore certain rules have to be followed. I have collected facts of the biology, host plants and reproduction of the Swede Midge, as well as the growers experiences and the occurrence of the midge in Canada, Europe and Sweden. The Swede Midge is hard to control because of its short life cycle and the larvae are protected between the heartleaves of the plant. When the larva feeds on the growth point the plant becomes distorted, in some cases several heads develop or none at all. When the midge infests spring Rape its flower buds become undeveloped and rosette like.

SammanfattningDen här undersökningen handlar om hur svenska massmedier, i det här fallet dags- och kvällstidningar, framställer våldtäkt i sin nyhetsrapportering. Artiklarna är utvalda från två olika fall som blev omskrivna i svensk press. Utifrån bland annat filosofen Michel Foucaults diskursteori och med ett socialkonstruktivistiskt och genusviklat perspektiv analyseras en rad artiklar med hjälp av diskursanalys. De teoretiker som använts är bland andra Norman Fairclough.Med diskursanalysens hjälp synliggörs de underliggande betydelserna av en till synes oskyldig nyhetsrapportering. Dessa jämförs sedan med en social kontext som utgörs av en redan utförd undersökning om ungdomars förståelse av våldtäkt.

The economic prerequisite to many farmers in Sweden after the EU membership and the new agriculture policy has generated large demands on the farm management. Until year 2004 you got a grant based on what you had produced and not on consumer demand. In 2005 a new economic aid (Mid Term Revue) was introduced and the conditions has changed again. Due to this I have chosen to do a cost-benefit analysis on a case, to investigate if the present production is sustainable in the future. My conclusion is that the profitability is acceptable even if the farm has a high debt. But to make the production more profitable the products produced should be refined as much as possible at the farm, to get maximum economic return.

Uppsatsen behandlar våldtäkt som krigföring och hur fenomenet kan förstås med ett intersektionellt perspektiv. Detta har vi gjort utifrån fallstudien som metod då vi har låtit en dom från the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY), vilken behandlar en rad händelser i staden Foca, Bosnien-Hercegovina, stå som det huvudsakliga empiriska exemplet. I analysen utgår vi från denna dom samt tidigare forskning för att komplettera empirin, men även för att föra vidare teoretiska diskussioner om våldtäkt som krigföring utifrån vårt intersektionella perspektiv. Detta innebär att vi visar på hur olika maktstrukturer samverkar och vad de har för betydelse för det granskade fenomenet, något som den tidigare forskningen har saknat hittills. Utifrån de socialt konstruerade kategorierna kön, genus, "ras"/etnicitet, religion, nationalism och sexualitet erbjuder uppsatsen förklaringar till användandet av våldtäkt som krigföring, vilka alla går ut på att "de andra" skall nedvärderas samtidigt som den egna identiteten uppvärderas.

Larvae of Lepidopteran Manduca sexta and Spodoptera littoralis are pests of economical importance in several horticultural and agricultural crops. Knowledge of insect feeding preferences and behavior is crucial in order to find economically and ecologically sustainable solutions to the problems caused by these herbivores. The aim of this thesis was to study the behavior and the induced feeding preferences in larvae of M. sexta and S. littoralis when reared on certain host plants. The hypothesis was that larvae of M. sexta would have an innate preference for plants of the Solanaceae family and therefore discriminate the previously experienced nonhost when faced with the choice between a true host and the previous food source.

The aim of this thesis is to analyze the media discussions of the Rape in Bjästa 2009 and to reveal how stereotypical illusions of ethnicity, religion and gender affect how media understands and defines violence. The Rape in Bjästa occurred in a ?Swedish context? but has been defined as honor related in other arenas outside media. This discussion occurred because the whole village turned against the woman that was Raped and supported the perpetrator? a phenomena that speaks against the idea of an equal society and a behavior that is usually understood as honor related and something that the ?others? do.

We have chosen to analyze how four well known sex crimes were presented in the Swedish national daily newspapers in the 2000s. We chose this topic because sex crimes are considered one of the most terrible crimes. Sex crimes involve the media and upset the society. Our purpose was to analyze if we could identify stereotypes and prejudices about sex crimes in the press reports.The four sex crimes were: Rissne case in 2000, Tumba case in 2003, Hagamannen case in 2006 and the Stureplan case in 2007. We have read all the news stories from the Swedish national daily newspapers Svenska dagbladet and Expressen about our four cases.

In some criminal cases, the only existing evidence is the verbal statement of a witness or the plaintiff. The typical example is an alleged Rape where victim and perpetrator have had some kind of relation, and their records of the incident differ. In these cases, the assessment of the value of the evidence drawn from the plaintiff's story is of crucial importance. On the one hand, a false positive judgment means that a person is wrongly convicted, on the other hand, a failure to correctly identify a truthful claim of Rape means that a victim of a severe crime is left without judicial remedy. That the prosecutor must prove that the crime is committed by the defendant without reasonable doubt, means that there is much more chance of a failure to convict guilty felons, than of the opposite.In the essay, the rules of criminal procedure directed at the evaluation of the verbal statement are identified and critically evaluated from the perspective of how they may or may not facilitate the judgment of a verbal statement presented before the court, either in person, or through other media such as video.
