Personalen i frontlinjen som varumärkesbärare : En studie inom träningsanläggningar

The purpose of this research aims investigate whether front line personell are brand carriers who can affect the customers brand experience. This present study focuses on commercial fitness centers in Kalmar. Like brands, training is taking part in people?s everyday lives; fitness centers are offering the customer a wider range of group training.This thesis is based on a qualitative approach whereby eight interviews have been carried out with two members of the board and six employees of the front line. Additionally, this thesis is also based on three focus groups with four customers, representing the majority of each fitness centers.The research findings highlight that the front line employees are very important as they are seen as the brand; therefore the front line employee?s personality and behaviour will influence the customer?s view of the brand.

Method: An experimental study was performed to compare two different infusion techniques.

This study deals with branding at an individual level and aims to explore what a personal brand means, what benefits that?s obtained by actively working with a personal brand, as well as the strategies and methods used in the development of it. It has also meant a restriction in choice of interviewees made to informants who are familiar with and active in the personal branding process in their daily life. The essay is based on a qualitative research approach; six people working in various occupations were interviewed by a desire to generate information from different perspectives. The result shows that a personal brand is all about credibility, authenticity, and the image you present to others.

The purpose of this Masters Thesis is to explore the process of selection that librarians face when selecting and acquiring cultural magazines to public libraries. The methods used are qualitative interviews and literary studies. A brief review is given of acquisition policies at public libraries and of cultural magazines and the important role they play in public libraries. Five interviews have been made at five public libraries to find out what factors affect the process of selection when it comes to cultural magazines. Two theories are used as a basis for the analysis of the result of the interviews and literary studies.

This report discusses how well the competences the master program in Information Technology, given by the Royal Institute of Technology, meet the demands from the business life. It is made qualitative and about 20 companies have taken part to get the results. The study has been made to see how well the three first years and the entire five year master, with different aiming, meets the demands. The results shows that the master program needs to be remodeled to meet the demands in the more ?softer competencies?, which for example is people management and an understanding about economical, juridical and cultural aspects.

The Swedish e-commerce has been established for about 25 years, with strong growth from the millennium onwards. The companies that are active within it has many different backgrounds. Mail order companies were some of the early adaptors but today it is also common for companies to first create the e-commerce part of the business, before opening a store. A long list of companies has over the years come and gone, the rotation of the e-shops that are popular have constantly changed. We asked ourselves why.We wanted to get an understanding of the Swedish e-commerce, both from a business perspective and from a customer perspective.

Marknadskommunikation : hur använder butiker inom hemelektronikbranschen sig utav läge, sortiment, pris och kommunikationskanaler i sin marknadskommunikation?

Under de senaste åren har branschen hemelektronik ökat påtagligt och vi konsumenter har mer pengar att spendera på kvalitativa märkesprodukter. Eftersom fler och fler butiker uppstår och även trycket från internethandlarna ökar måste butiker idag använda sig av andra knep än vad de tidigare gjort för att nå ut till kunderna. Det kan vara svårt att nå ut till det kundsegment butiken tänkt sig och för att uppnå sina mål måste butiken vara klar över hur den vill framstå och vilken image den vill åt. Det blir allt mer vanligt att butiker använder sig utav nya kommunikationsknep för att få kunderna uppmärksamma och bli trogna kunder.Vår uppsats bygger på att vi gjort tre besök i butiker och dessa är Bang Olufsen, Televisionen och Onoff. Under dessa besök gjordes en intervju med butikscheferna där vi diskuterade butikernas syn på pris, kommunikation, service och sortiment.

Positionering av ekologiska certifieringsmärken - Konsten att skapa ett säljande budskap

Uppsatsens syfte är att undersöka KRAV-märkets positionering samt att uppnå en ökad teoretisk förståelse kring positionering av certifieringsmärken generellt. Samtidigt utvärderar uppsatsen hur pass väl den konventionella varumärkesteorin, rörande begreppet positionering, passar för ett certifieringsmärke av KRAV:s slag. Resultat: KRAV-märket har övervägande positionerats kring en rad miljöanknutna budskap vilket medfört att märket har en otydlig och mindre attraktionskraftig image. Ett förslag på ett nytt och tydligt budskap som förmedlar mervärde till en bredare målgrupp presenteras och varumärkesteorins applicerbarhet på ekologiska certifieringsmärken bekräftas..

Framtagning av förbättringsförslag för SNCR-system

The gas turbines in the Swedish secondary reserve are reaching the end of their technical lifetime, hence alternative solutions need to be considered. One of the solutions thought to have the greatest potential is the use of so called consumptionreduction. By entering contracts with large consumers, agreements are made to reduce consumption in the event of major disturbances in the power system and thus being used as a secondary reserve. This thesis investigates the feasibility of consumption reduction as part of the secondary reserve. This has been achieved by developing a requirement specification for the disturbance reserve and by studying the technical and economic potential for consumption reduction among a range of consumers.The technical potential for consumption reduction that fulfils the requirements for participating in the secondary reserve are on average 750 MW in SE 3 and 98 MW in SE 4.

Examensarbetet är en fallstudie med förslag till förändringar åt uppdragsgivaren som ägnar sig åt tredjepartslogistik. Uppdragsgivaren är Kriminalvårdsanstalten Smälteryd i Sätila som ligger i Marks kommun. Anstalten utför logistiska aktiviteter mellan Monzon AB och dess kunder. Monzon AB är i sin tur ett företag som säljer - och till viss del hyr ut - byggnadsställningar, väderskydd och säkerhetsprodukter till företag runt om i Europa. I dagsläget finns ett antal logistiska problem på Smälterydsanstalten vilka i detta arbete identifieras och analyseras.

The starting point for this study is the situation for immigrants during the process of integration. This study aims to describe and discuss, with a broad approach, if certain information needs arises when immigrants meet the Swedish labour market and in such a case, do they use the library and how does the public libraries meet those needs. A secondary aim is to help increase the understanding of immigrants and forming a basis for further efforts by the libraries to improve services for immigrants and point at areas where there is a need for further research. - Which expectations and demands meets immigrants on the labour market and which library needs are possibly generated by this? - What services and range of material do the libraries offer immigrants and how are they marketed at the libraries homepages on the Internet? - Do immigrants from outside the western culture use the library and in that case how? Swedish human capital and Swedish social capability are identified as demands that are often held by operators on the labour market.

The purpose of this study is to find out how clergymen in the Church of Sweden understand their role as pastoral caregivers, in a context of a society that has changed quite a lot during the past decades. The study is based on interviews with four clergymen, two men and two women in the ages of 40-65 with experiences from congregations of different social and geographical kind. The interviews are analyzed in themes. When analyzing the interviews identity and role theory is used as a tool, but also the idea of a postmodern society and metaphors for the different kind of roles a pastoral caregiver can take during counseling.The clergymen meet a broad range of people in counseling, both those who regularly attend church activities and those who are complete strangers. They are all focusing on the needs of the confident.
