Denna uppsats behandlar lyssnartrötthet vid telefonintervjuer i radio. Användningen av telefonhybrider för intervjuer i radio är vanligt förekommande och det används dagligen inom till exempel Sveriges Radio. I jämförelse med en studiointervju finns det stora ljudkvalitativa nackdelar vid användningen av telefonhybrider i form av en kraftigt förminskad bandbredd, ledningsbrus, bakgrundsbrus och i viss mån också distorsion. Den här uppsatsen syftar till att undersöka om den bristande ljudkvalitén, vid användning av telefonintervjuer i radio, skapar lyssnartrötthet och därmed påverkar lyssnarens förmåga att tillgodogöra sig innehållet. Då inga tester på lyssnartrötthet vid uppläsning av längre texter med telefonkaraktär har utförts, varken inom Sveriges Radio eller hos telecom-tillverkaren Ericsson, blir detta arbete också en ansats till att utveckla en metod för denna typ av test.

This thesis for the Master of Science degree was performed at Solectron Corporation in Norrköping. The background for the thesis was a need to develop and build two test fixtures to automatize testing and adjusting of transmitter modules (TX-fixture) and receiver modules (RX-fixture) which are head devices in DWDM-systems. The basic elements for the test fixtures are: Test board, switch board and DC/DC board. The main function of the test board is to handle communication between the transmitter and receiver modules and supply voltage to these modules. The test board was insufficient and modified with a microprocessor to handle the communication between the PC and the receiver module.

Podcast är ett nytt medieformat som har vuxit snabbt det senaste decenniet, i toppen bland de svenska podcasterna ligger ?Filip och Fredriks podcast? med Filip Hammar och Fredrik Wikingsson. Podcast är ett relativt billigt och enkelt medium som gör det möjligt att nå ut till en potentiellt global publik. Syftet med den här uppsatsen är att med hjälp av samtalsanalys belysa specifika egenskaper hos podcasten jämfört med traditionell radio som här representeras av pratprogrammet ?Gerts värld? med Gert Fylking och Kim Kärnfalk.Jag kommer även använda mig av David Hendys teorier för hur radio program är strukturellt uppbyggda och applicera dem på mitt material för att se på likheter och skillnader mellan radio och podcast.

This is a qualitative study with the aim of getting better knowledge and understanding of how people with mental illness experience having access to a public communication channel. The study builds upon qualitative interviews with four participants of a radio project called Radio Totalnormal (RTN). RTN is a community radio station where people with mental illness do radio. The study focuses on how the respondents describe the participation in the project and how it has affected their self-image. The analysis uses the concept of empowerment and four social psychological concepts: social responsivity, asocial non-responsivity, abstract sociability and concrete sociability.

Detta examensarbete är en undersökning om hur en utrikeskorrespondent vid Sveriges Radio arbetar, samtidigt som det ger en inblick i deras vardag och tankegångar. Det är även menat att vara en guide, främst för studerande inom radioproduktion och journalistik inom högre utbildning, som vill arbeta med utrikesrapportering för Sveriges Radio. För att få tillgång till information har nio av korrespondenterna, samt utrikeschefen, vid Sveriges Radio intervjuats. Vidare har jag även varit i Moskva, där jag följt och arbetat tillsammans med Fredrik Wadström, korrespondent för Sveriges Radio, för att själv kunna observera och uppleva hur en korrespondent arbetar. Vidare har relevant litteratur använts för att få en vetenskaplig grund i arbetet, bland annat interndokument från Sveriges Radio och välrenommerad litteratur inom ämnet.

The product, Absolicon X10, uses a parabolic trough to concentrate the radiation of the sun onto a receiver. The receiveris equipped with mono crystalline solar cells and is cooled by a circulating liquid media.

AbstractDenna uppsats handlar om hur community radiostationerna Mega FM och Radio Wa i norra Uganda arbetar med fredsjournalistik. Syftet med uppsatsen är att öka förståelsen för relationen mellan community radio och fredsjournalistik. Det är inte bara relevant för journalistikvetenskapen, utan även för alla som är intresserade av utveckling och freds- och säkerhetsfrågor i konfliktområden.  Hur ser det fredsjournalistiska arbetet ut i praktiken på community radiostationerna Mega FM och Radio Wa? Vilka förutsättningar är nödvändiga, enligt Mega FM och Radio Wa, för att skapa ett generellt freds- och försoningsrelaterat radioprogram? Vilka svårigheter finns för att lyckas genomföra ett fredsjournalistiskt arbete, enligt Mega FM och Radio Wa? Frågeställningarna har besvarats genom kvalitativa informantintervjuer med radiojournalister i Gulu och Lira, och observationer. Det teoretiska ramverket inkluderar fredsforskning, utvecklingskommunikation, deltagande kommunikation, teorier om community radio och fredsjournalistik.

The aim of this report is to give a description of a diploma work of 20 points that has been performed during the spring 2006 at Ericsson AB in Borås. The report accounts for the problem and procedure during the diploma work. The software used for this project was embedded in a radio link. The RAM in this radio link was divided into several regions where two were used for memory allocation. The current allocation of memory in the radio link was not optimized with regards to performance, security and memory use and the configuration used made it difficult to determine the memory use of the system and the actual memory need.

The work that is the basis of this Master Thesis was performed on Scania´s group of cabdevelopment, and concerns the GPS-system in Scania´s trucks. Today, the GPS-systemconsists of an active antenna mounted on the roof of the truck. The antenna is connectedto the receiver with a coaxial cable.The purpose with this Master Thesis was to develop and evaluate a new GPS-system,where the information is distributed using a LIN-network. Today, each unit requiringGPS-information is equipped with its own antenna and receiver. This solution has beenthe most cost effective to this point.

Events are a growing channel for companies and organizations to reach out to their customers. The com-munication channel opens up to satisfy all human senses. Which are required for a message to go into the receiver and be memorized. The research gap we decided to contribute to we made a case study of an event that is not sport related and looking at both the transmitter perspective and receiver perspective. Thus, the purpose of our study is to increase the understanding of how the transmitter should be able to convey the purpose and goal of the event to the receiver.

In order to succeed they need to understand what they communicate to the consumers through their different marketing activities, and how that affects the consumers? view of the brand and the product.

Denna fallstudie syftar till att undersöka hur Sveriges Radio i egenskap av public serviceföretag kommunicerar externt. Vi finner det intressant att undersöka hur en offentlig medieorganisation, utanför den kommersiella marknaden, arbetar med sin externa kommunikation. Genom en kombination av kvalitativa metoder och teori rörande strategisk kommunikation, varumärke, publika relationer samt sociala medier, berörs studiens fyra frågeställningar: Vad har Sveriges Radio för kommunikationsmål? Vilka strategier går att urskilja i Sveriges Radios kommunikativa arbete? Hur använder Sveriges Radio sociala medier i sin kommunikation? På vilket sätt påverkar public service-ideologin Sveriges Radios externa kommunikation? Mer specifikt undersöks hur Sveriges Radio bygger och upprätthåller relationer till publiken samt kommunicerar sitt varumärke, bland annat genom sociala medier.Studien bygger på kvalitativa intervjuer med representanter från Sveriges Radio, samt en retorisk analys av material från SR:s officiella sociala medier. Resultatet visar att Sveriges Radio har implicita kommunikationsmål som är en del av verksamhetsmålen.

This paper discusses how four people in the Swedish Radio station P3, together interact to account therapy trends towards a third party. The focus is on whether, and if so, how they collaborate to make the conversation intelligible for radio listeners. This is done by means of conversation analysis and methods developed by the CA. The result is interesting when the conversation participants do not follow their expected roles as broadcasters and experts while they disagree about the communicative projects to be carried out..

AbstractThis report is about the creation of a test system for development of a control system for a off the shelf RC-helicopter, which can be bought for about two thousand SEK. The test system consists of both electronics for controlling the helicopter and mechanical constrainer. The constrainer is used for mounting the helicopter so that it won´t crash.A circuit board including processor and sensors was manufactured. This was used for doing test of the different control algorithms. In this way were we able to analyze the quality of the sensors chosen, and what other sensors that could contribute to the control of the system.Basic helicopter control have been studied and presented in the report.
