This report is the result of an investigation of the possibility to use RFID-technology in a producing company. The investigation is focused on a flow between the company?s producing subsidiary company in Lithuania and its main facility in Sweden.RFID is the abbreviation for radiofrequency identification. The RFID-technology forms the base of a system with wireless information transmission between an object to which a transponder, also called tag, has been attached and a reader. The information is transmitted by radio waves and the system is equipped with software that can digitalise the radio waves.

Arbetet bygger på att de informationssystem som används idag men som blir allt äldre och därigenom inte klarar de krav som ställs på dem. Detta medför att informationssystemen måste migreras till modernare plattformar, då företagen dels inte klarar sig utan dess nuvarande funktionalitet och dels måste vidareutveckla systemen.Detta arbete tar upp olika sätt som detta kan genomföras på och vilka problem som kan komma att uppstå när detta sker. För att kunna undersöka detta så genomfördes ett antal migrationer. Språken som migrationen kommer att ske mellan är Visual Basic 6 och Visual Basic .net. Migrationerna kommer att ske med hjälp av ett migrationsverktyg, samt ett ramverk som i arbetet skräddarsys för just arbetets typ av migrationer.Det arbetet kommer fram till är att det sker problem vid användande av ett verktyg och även att det inte ger tillräckligt med respons på vad som gått snett under migrationerna..

Vattenfall and Svenska Kraftnät perform start-up tests, where hydropower generators are used to power up the electrical grid in case of a blackout. To monitor the electrical grid, Phasor Measurement Units (PMU) are used. Each PMU is individually equipped with a GPS-receiver to precisely timestamp the data relative to the official time UTC. During the test, it is also of interest to timestamp the measurement signals from individual hydropower generators to later compare with PMU-data, and thus study the power grids impact on the generator. The aim is to work out an appropriate method to make these measurements and to build a data acquisition system, capable of timestamp data relative to UTC, from a generator in one of Vattenfalls hydroelectric power stations. The problem is that the generator is located in an underground station which hampers the reception of GPS-signals and wiring should be avoided if possible. Time synchronization has been solved by using Vattenfalls network, which is synchronized by the network protocol NTP.

Denna uppsats behandlar ledarskap och organisationsförändring. I rapporten undersöks hur fyra chefer har handskats med de svårigheter och utmaningar som uppstått då organisationen de verkar i ska driva igenom förändringsprojekt. De undersökta organisationerna är Försvarsmakten Visby garnison, Scania AB Falun, Apoteket AB och Nacka kommun. I de två förstnämnda består förändringsprocessen av mer eller mindre total avveckling och i de andra två rör det sig om omfattande förändringar i struktur eller arbetssätt. Undersökningen är baserad på djupintervjuer med dessa chefer och svaren har analyserats utifrån existerande modeller för förändring.

GPS används idag för personlig navigering men dessvärre är GPS beroende av fri sikt och presterar sämre i en inomhusmiljö. Ett IPS, inomhuspositioneringssystem, skulle komplet-tera GPS:ens funktion samt öppna dörrar för nya användningsområden inom positionering. I detta examensarbete studerades metoder och tekniker för att möjliggöra ett IPS för en mo-bil enhet. Där teknikerna och metoderna verifieras för att kunna implementeras i en mobil-telefon.En prototyp för ett IPS framställdes för att utreda möjligheterna att navigera i en inomhus-miljö. En radiofingeravtrycksmetod baserat på RSSI-mätningar från Bluetooth-enheter im-plementerades och integrerades med en dödräkningsmetod som använder en IMU för att positionera användaren.

I uppsatsen underso?ktes i vilken omfattning radiostationer pa? webben presenterar information om musiken som spelas, vilken information som finns samt vilken relevans dess besta?ndsdelar har fo?r anva?ndare. Fo?r att uppna? syftet utfo?rdes fo?rst en kvantitativ underso?kning av webbradiostationer. Resultatet visade att musikrelaterad metadata visserligen presenteras i ma?nga skepnader, men att fa? stationer har anammat majoriteten av denna funktionalitet.

Hinder och möjligheter i kommunikationen mellan Lunds universitet och rikstäckande dagspress.Lunds universitet är Sveriges största universitet med ca 6 000 anställda och 40 000 studenter och bedriver utbildning på flera olika orter. Man kommunicerar med en rad olika målgrupper, varav en av de viktigaste externa målgrupperna är journalister inom radio, tv och dagspress. Sammanfattningsvis ställer detta mycket stora krav på kommunikationsarbetet och det gäller därför att optimera sin publicitet.Under hösten planerar Lunds universitet att utveckla sin presskommunikation och vårt uppdrag är ett led i detta utvecklingsarbete. AbstractPurpose / Aim: The purpose of this study is to find out why people look at K-1. I wanted to investigate what it was about looking at televised martial arts, specifically K-1, that attracts peoples attention and interest, and what it needs it satisfies within the viewer.Material / Method: This study consists of three separate parts, where I investigate and analyse the producer side of K-1, the receiver side, and the program in itself as a media text. For the producer part I performed interviews with the chairman of K-1 Sweden, the production manager at Eurosport Sweden and the Eurosport K-1 commentator. As for the receivers I interviewed six people who watch K-1 more or less regularly, in order to find out why the watch the show and what it gives them. The program text analysis I performed on two K-1 programs from Eurosport, and I based it on previous studies done of similar and other kinds of programs.

This essay was written in order to elucidate how the priests-to-be and working priests experience the preparation for preaching during their training and if their identity as preachers depends on their preaching; how they refer to rhetoric and what the preparation training looks like.There is no Swedish research within this field, and even the existing international studies concentrate mostly on writing preparation within other occupations, e.g. economics, health care and public sectors. These studies also show that there are several discrepancies between the university preparation for professional writing and speaking and the professional discourse.In order to carry out the investigation the author has interviewed priests-to-be and working priests and examined the syllabi for homiletics and rhetoric. The result of this analysis offers a better insight into the nature of the training in preparing sermons that Swedish priests obtain during their professional education. The author refers to the results of other scientific investigations concerning preparation for professional writing and speaking and concludes that there are similar difficulties within the priest training, e.g.

This study investigated the possibility of implementing three standards, Transistion Minimized Differential Signaling (TMDS) and two versions of Stub Series Terminated Logic (SSTL), for inter-chip communication in a specific manufacturing process. The two SSTL standards were implemented in one transceiver system while TMDS was implemented in a separate system. The evaluation was done with Spice simulations on schematic level with some parasitic capacitance and resistance. The idea was to investigate the possibility of implementing these standards and get an idea of eventual shortcomings. In order to create models as a basis for evaluation, simulation environments with models for circuit board and packages were created and transmitters and receivers were designed.

This report presents the results of the tests of data rate and signal strength that I have conducted. The tests have been performed in the municipality of Arvidsjaur, Sweden. This thesis gives the reader an understanding for newsletters within e-commerce, and how to work with them as a channel for marketing. Furthermore it explains the technical and graphical demands, and how to ensure that the newsletter reaches the intended receivers.A successful newsletter can entice people to shop, but can also help to strengthen a brand and the relationship between the customer and the company. During the writing of the thesis, it has emerged that the most important part of a newsletter (which also determine whether or not the receiver reads the letter) are the subject heading, sender, layout, headlines,images and the deregistration link.A part from working with the different parts of the letter, the sender should also be aware of the technical and graphical demands. Since the E-mail clients are looking out forimages, fonts that are not embedded in the computer, and for questionable words there?s a big risk for ending up in a spam filter when not considering the demands.

Wireless sensor networks have the potential for becoming a huge market. Ericsson predicts 50 billion devices interconnected to the Internet by the year 2020. Before that, the devices must be made to be able to withstand years of usage without having to change power source as that would be too costly. These devices are typically small, inexpensive and severally resource constrained. Communication is mainly wireless, and the wireless transceiver on the node is typically the most power hungry component.

In order to convince, one must know which arguments are most suitable for the specific situation. But even if you think you know how others will react to your arguments, you may be wrong. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to find out a way of examining to what extent informative text take account to the subjective views of their addressees. The theoretical framework is Blitzer's theory of the rhetorical situation, pragmatic theory of speech acts and their presuppositions, Burk´s theory of consubstantiality and phenomenographic theory of subjective perceptions. Methodologically, phenomenography has also been used as a guideline for selecting informants, collecting data and processing the interviews.
