In this essay a pilot study on the memory of Swedish Public Service radio news is presented. 30 subjects participated in the study, which was performed during three days, 18 to 20 of November 2013. The material which formed the basis for the study consisted three newscasts of Sweden's most popular radio newscast ?Dagens eko?, which is broadcasted live at 16.45 every day in the Public Service channels SR P1 and SR P4. The subjects listened to the broadcasts each day, and their memory of them was tested the day after each broadcast.The aim of the thesis is to find out which properties of the audience that affect how much ? and what parts ? of a newscast that the audience remember.

The aim of this study was to look into the approach of swedish journalists towards Twitter and how they apply the media ethics when using Twitter.The method for this research was a survey answered by 371 Swedish journalists, from workplaces of various contents and geographical spread, of which 271 were users of Twitter. Our results are based on the survey and theories such as the social responsibility theory, the code of ethics for the Swedish press, radio and television, gatekeeping, normalizing twitter and the private sphere of Habermas.Our results showed that swedish journalists aim to apply the media etics in most aspects such as objectivity and gatekeeping. Also the guidelines of using twitter as a journalist, according to the respondents, mainly comes from the workplace and not the code of ethics. It also showed that the majority of the journalists were pleased with the current guidelines, or the absence of guidelines..

The aim was to explore how the first page of a student newspaper has been changed over time since it was founded in the 1960´s.This thesis explores how the front page of the student newspaper Lösnummer has been changed since it was founded in 1966. It concerns the location and frequency of elements and it is based on theories of layout, the first page and visual communicationIn addition, the thesis develops a new kind of method for determining the location of elements on the type area. The method is based on the hexadecimal number system. It is formed as a grid which is placed on the first page to determine the location of the elements.It concludes that the frequency of elements had its peak during the 1970´s and has ever since decreased gradually. Image placement has gone from being scattered all over the front page to be centered and increase in size. .

This study where designed to investigate if there are any positive relationship between the extent of physical activity during adolescent's leisure time and the academic performance, and also if there are any negative relationship between the academic performance and the time spent in front of the television or computers. Another part of the study tried to find out if physical activity has a direct and immediate influence on the performance in school. 91 pupils (51 girls and 40 boys) in the 8:th year of the Swedish primary school, from three different schools participated in the study. All 91 pupils first responded to a questionnaire concerning there activities in leisure time. They where then tested in a mathematical test and the results where compared with the extent of physical activity and TV/computer time they had stated in the questionnaire.

I uppsatsen behandlas frågeställningarna: Går det finna ett gemensamt sound hos musiken som spelas i P3? Och hur ser P3:s tablå ut under en vecka? Dessa frågeställningar undersöks för att ge en bild av den musik som spelas i P3 som är Sveriges Radios ungdomskanal. Frågorna undersöks genom att utgå från tidigare forskning i ämnet, information från P3:s hemsida samt genom djupgående analyser av sju låtar från de artister som spelades mest under vecka 46 år 2010. Analyserna utformas utifrån Gunnar Ternhags gehörsbaserade analysmetod. Även Lars Lilliestams gehörsbaserade analysmetoder av rock och blues används.Analyserna presenteras först låt för låt och sedan sammanfattas likheter och skillnader hos musiken som spelas.

Följande rapport behandlar hur välgörenhetsorganisationer arbetarför att konkurrera med varandra när det handlar om att attraheragivare. Mina undersökningar har visat att det inte längre räckermed att stå på stan och sjunga eller gå runt med en bössa för atttjäna ihop till ett gott ändamål. Nu för tiden är givare väldigtkräsna och kräver något tillbaka och det tidigt. Mitt arbete ärfokuserat på välgörenhet som gagnar barn och ungdomar.Granskningarna är fokuserade på audiellt material. Somkomplement till mina efterforskningar har jag gjort ett praktisktarbete där jag producerat ett releasematerial för radio till FondenJag och Min Hund, en fiktiv fond med målet att främja ett liv medservicehund.

Arbetet bygger på att de informationssystem som används idag men som blir allt äldre och därigenom inte klarar de krav som ställs på dem. Detta medför att informationssystemen måste migreras till modernare plattformar, då företagen dels inte klarar sig utan dess nuvarande funktionalitet och dels måste vidareutveckla systemen.Detta arbete tar upp olika sätt som detta kan genomföras på och vilka problem som kan komma att uppstå när detta sker. För att kunna undersöka detta så genomfördes ett antal migrationer. Språken som migrationen kommer att ske mellan är Visual Basic 6 och Visual Basic .net. Migrationerna kommer att ske med hjälp av ett migrationsverktyg, samt ett ramverk som i arbetet skräddarsys för just arbetets typ av migrationer.Det arbetet kommer fram till är att det sker problem vid användande av ett verktyg och även att det inte ger tillräckligt med respons på vad som gått snett under migrationerna..

Generellt utförs ett antal aktiviteter inom loppet av ett produktutvecklingsprojekt. Forskare och näringslivspersoner som arbetar inom ämnet projektledning, menar att de tidiga faserna av ett projekt är viktiga att utföra på rätt sätt för att uppnå de mål som företaget har satt på produkten som ska utvecklas. De tidiga faserna i ett projekt är även kallade front-end fasen. Vilka dessa aktiviteter är och hur de bör utföras ska detta arbete komma fram till. I denna studie har teorier analyserats i syfte att ta fram aktiviteter som bidrar till minskade ledtider i produktutvecklingsprojekt i fornt-end fasen.

Fem medieföretag har granskats; Sveriges Television, TV4, Sveriges Radio, DN och Aftonbladet. 4 veckor valdes ut, jämnt fördelade över ett år för att undvika att resultatet skulle påverkas av olika idrotters tävlingssäsonger..

Projektet ?Radio i skolan? riktade sig till elever inom det individuella programmet på en gymnasieskola. Det pågick sammanlagt en termin. Projektet innebar ett arbetssätt där fokus låg på innehåll, att berätta om ett ämne. Uttrycksformen för detta var att göra ett eget radioprogram.

Sveriges Radio stores their data in large archives which makes it hard to retrieve specific information. The sheer size of the archives makes retrieving information about a specific event difficult and causes a big problem. To solve this problem a more consistent use of metadata is needed. This resulted in an investigation about metadata and keyword genera-tion.The appointed task was to automatically generate keywords from transcribed radio shows. This included an investigation of which systems and algorithms that can be used to generate keywords, based on previous works.

The radio is a medium we often listen to whilst doing something else. We wake up, do the dishes, cook or drive to work. Radio as a medium reaches many people, regardless of whether it is through conscious or unconscious listening. We thereby thought it was an important medium to scrutinize in our study. The focus of our study is on the gender representation in P3 Nyheters broadcasts.

Studien undersöker Sveriges Radios nyhetspublicering på nätet och jämför med Ekots nyhetssändningar i etern. Syftet är att undersöka eventuella skillnader i nyhetsurvalet, samt hur webbinnehållet påverkas av flerkanalspubliceringen och webbens möjligheter till ständig publicering och uppdatering, möjlighet att använda sig av bildobjekt och grafik samt hypertext och interaktivitet. Undersökningen ramas in av de teoretiska begreppen konvergens och divergens, samt teorier om hur kanalernas produktionsförhållanden påverkar nyhetsinnehållet. En kombination av kvantitativ och kvalitativ innehållsanalys har använts, där de båda kanalerna undersöktes under två dagar, 23 och 24 april 2012. Det visade sig att webbens nyhetsrapportering till viss del bestod av nyheter som inte fanns med i Ekosändningarna.

The empirical material has then been analysed by applying a two step method, of first making a summary of the interviews and secondly making a comparison with a model of Lennart Weibull ?a typology of the Swedish mediasystem from an audience perspectiv? .Main results:Two different types of ideal media users can be drawn from the empirical research, the ?Investigator? and the ?Updater?. The updater search for news to stay updated and relies on the Internet as main source of information.
