Buffer zones play an important role for the water quality in our watercourses. When harvesting a forest close to a watercourse a buffer zone should be left. When it's not left, it will lead to radical changes in the environment for the water organisms. The overall purpose of this thesis was to illuminate the production- and environmental thinking when establishing new buffer zones in south of Värmland. The partials goals were to determine choice of tree species, ways of regenerate, occurrence of soil scarification and the occurrence of machine tracks in newly established buffer zones.

This bachelor thesis engages in the question of silence in the writings of Fenno-Swedish modernists Mirjam Tuominen and Gunnar Björling, silence being understood as both a poetic theme and a question of literary form. Alongside this exposition runs a discussion about the possibilities and impossibilities of interpretation in the field of academic literary studies. This query is connected to the different ideological positions of the two writers, conjoined by ideas about anti-comprehensibility. Considering certain weaknesses of classical hermeneutics as well as the theory of deconstruction, especially in the case of reading poetry, this thesis tries to point out possible routs for a practice of a more dynamic interpretation, with special regard to understanding the trope of silence in the modernist poetry of Tuominen and Björling.The composition explicitly applies a ?method of wandering? inspired by Maurice Blanchot?s understanding of the priests of Dionysus in Hölderlin?s writings ? maundering in the holy night ? as a metaphor for a critique-in-the-creating.

In process oriented organizations, it is important to have well-functioning work processes tosupport the work being performed. In order to accomplish this, the organization has to makecertain decisions regarding the design and usage of the processes. This master thesis is based ona case study of a work process that is being used for the industrialization of products at Ericssonin Katrineholm. The aim of the study is twofold. One aim is to improve the studied process byidentifying improvement opportunities and carrying out the required adjustments.

The purpose of this essay is to discuss the base of sociology from an existentialistic perspective. The discussion takes it's position in the debate on the crisis of sociology, and aligns with Alvin Gouldner's understanding of the crisis. Gouldner believed that the crisis of sociology was mirrored in a sociological method that failed to describe the social reality that it meant to describe; a lack in self-criticism and self-reflexivity, a lack in self-containment in relation to state interests and a lack in moral engagement. This raises a number of questions, which I discuss in the essay. What is the role of sociology in our society? How shall we form a method that responds to the social reality that we sociologists aim to describe? How can we make sociology more moral?Existentialism offers a starting point to describe these questions.

The main question is: How does gender matter in the interaction between female and male players in WoW? This question is particularly interesting because WoW is in its own construction neutral in regards to gender in the aspect that gender does not hinder or benefit your avatar when it comes to the avatars development or possibilities. The informants? personal thoughts and experiences are described.

Begreppet utanförskap har hörts i den politiska debatten sedan 2006 då den borgerliga Alliansregeringen lanserade termen för att prata om människor utan arbete. Syftet med uppsatsen är att kritiskt granska den politiska diskursen kring begreppet utanförskap i mötet med kvinnors berättelser från ett så kallat utanförskapsområde. Med narrativ metod lyfts kvinnornas berättelser fram vilkas röst fungerar som motståndsberättelser mot den diskurs som ges makt och hörs i Sverige idag. Kvinnornas berättelser bryter upp en stereotyp bild av människor i ?utanförskapsområden? som en passiv homogen grupp som står utanför samhället på grund av arbetslöshet.

Alice Lyttkens (1897-1991) was a very popular author in Sweden during several decades in the middle of the twentieth century. She was most famous for her historical novels. During her first period as a novelist in the 1930s, however, she wrote contemporary fiction, reflecting the situation of contemporary Women. The traditional view of the two sexes as ?complementary? permeated the interwar period.

Syftet med den här uppsatsen var att undersöka hur feministiska strävanden påverkat och eventuellt förändrat den religiösa judendomen. Studien har utgått från de fyra judiska inriktningarna: ortodoxi, reformism, konservatism och rekonstruktivism, samt en analys av begreppen ?historik? och ?texter, tolkning och symboler?. I analysen av ovanstående kohorter i mitt arbete har jag utgått från en konstruktivistisk teoriram.Jag har uteslutande använt mig av ett feministiskt angreppssätt i detta arbete. Jag har undersökt hur den historiska kontexten, texter, symboler och tolkning bidragit till att cementera kvinnans underordning i förhållande till mannen.

Uppsatsen Kvinnlig kluvenhet undersöker Maria Gripes roman Skugg-gömman, sista delen itetralogin Skuggserien, ur ett feministiskt perspektiv. Skugg-gömman skiljer sig markant frånde tidigare romanerna i Skuggserien till form och innehåll. Den huvudsakliga frågan somställs i undersökningen är huruvida karaktären Carolins kluvenhet och romanens form kankopplas till kön. Genom en närläsning av Skugg-gömman görs ett försök att komma närmaredet ogreppbara och opålitliga i berättandet och hos karaktären. Paralleller till tidigareforskning dras där framför allt feministisk teori och litteraturteori ger stöd för romanenskoppling till kön.

Denna uppsats syftar till att belysa och diskutera kristen feministteologi, med fokus på hur det patriarkala språket inom kristen tradition påverkar kvinnor inom religionen, samt hur feministteologer använder och tolkar detta patriarkala språk för att göra det inkluderande även för kvinnor. Detta tar sig uttryck bland annat genom att benämna Gud med kvinnliga pronomen bredvid de manliga, såsom Gud Fader och Moder. Genom att tillämpa litteraturstudium som metod framgår att kvinnor från början var i majoritet i den tidiga kyrkan, som bestod av dem som följde Jesus under hans levnadsår och närmast efter hans död. Därefter tar män allt mer över religionen och gör den till sin egen, inte minst genom de paulinska breven som blivit normerande för kristendomens etik och moral. Angående resultatet av vad jag kom fram till kan sägas att trots att det kristna språket utesluter kvinnor i teorin, är det de kristna männen som har uteslutit kvinnor i praktiken, och sedan trettio till fyrtio år tillbaka i tiden har en våg av feministteologer kämpat för att kvinnor ska känna sig mer delaktiga i sin religion, samt synas och höras. Detta har gjorts genom att omdefiniera språk, omvärdera vikten av grammatik och genom att lyfta kvinnlig erfarenhet, exempelvis genom att lyfta fram det kvinnliga i treenigheten, och genom att försöka tala om Gud även med kvinnliga pronomen och med kvinnliga egenskaper..

Detta arbete har syftat till utveckla ett feminint, ungt och individuellt perspektiv på nio gymnasieflickors egna uppfattningar om och förståelse av en populärkulturell text, som de gavs tillfälle att i en gruppintervju beskriva med egna ord. Flera elever uttryckte synpunkter som i hög grad förde tankarna till ett postmodernt tänkande, fokuserat på individens önskningar och drömmar. En del elever tyckte att filmen tog upp kvinnofrågan anno 2009, dvs. att den fokuserade på kvinnans fria val att leva singelliv och rätt till ?manliga sexualvanor?, på hennes rätt till kvinnliga gemenskaper och genom dessa rätten till ett inbyggt bekräftelsesystem, på hennes rätt att vara kvinnlig i kombination med att ha en karriär och på åldersfixeringen i dagens samhälle.

Severe floods caused by heavy autumn rains in year 2000 raised the question whether measures to reduce the damage from high water levels, in the area surrounding lake Glafsfjorden and along the river Byälven down to lake Vänern, are possible. One option is to reduce flow resistance along the river and thereby lower the maximum water level a given inflow would cause. Good knowledge of hydraulic and hydrological conditions is necessary in order to estimate the effect of such flow-reducing measures. In order to quantify such effect a 1-dimensional hydraulic flow model has been set up for the river Byälven using the software package MIKE 11. The model is more detailed, especially concerning topography and bathymetry, than earlier models used for studies of the river.

The agriculture is today in a development that leads to bigger and bigger units in the primary production. To be able to follow this development many companies chooses to cooperate in different ways. The most radical change is when farmers fuses with other farmers and merge into to a big collectively owned operation firm. The reason behind this idea is that the firms achieve the big companies advantages by being complement to each other. The purpose of this essay is to make an economic analysis of two crop production companies who works together in an operation firm.

The contents of the school subject religion in Sweden, has gone through a radical change during the past century. With an origin of only treating Christianity and being a major cultural and social actor, it has developed into more of a multicultural and philosophical subject. The fact that the subject no longer has cultural recognition makes it more abstract and harder for students to relate to. Additionally, religion is experienced as a rather dull subject in school. My essay is therefore written to provide teachers encouragement of interest for religious education, by using humor. The well-known psychologist Jean Piaget claims play to be a prime state of learning.
