Prostitution har varit ett ständigt aktuellt ämne sedan sexköpslagen kom 1999. Vi har velat undersöka vad diskursen fri vilja inom prostitutionsdebatten innebär. Vi har valt ut teman för att kunna analysera hur diskursen fri vilja framkommer i debatten. Vårt syfte är att undersöka vad som inryms i diskursen fri vilja och vilka feministiska ståndpunkter som ger diskursen dess olika innebörder. Vi har genomfört en diskursanalys på tre böcker, utvalda för att representera de olika poler vi anser oss se i debatten.

Uppsatsen behandlar det relativt nya begreppet dokusåpa, med inriktning på kanal 5:s program Big Brother. Bakgrunden till ämnesvalet är att media gärna framställer Big Brother som något dåligt, som ungdomar kan ta efter. Det huvudsakliga syftet med studien är att få en insikt i hur 15-åringar hanterar Big Brother i vardagen. För att angripa ämnet ur ett sociologiskt perspektiv har vi bland annat använt oss av kommunikations-, postmodern och feministisk teori. Uppsatsen bygger på sjutton intervjuer som ger oss en inblick i just de intervjuades relation till Big Brother.

Denna studie är en undersökning av språket kring kön, kropp och kvinnlighet inom samtida svensk gudinnereligiositet, samt en diskussion av förhållandet mellan detta språk och feministiska respektive patriarkala föreställningar och värderingar. Undersökningen bygger på samtal kring symbolen ?Gudinnan? med utövare av gudinnereligiositet. I min studie sätter jag in de analyser som växer fram i samtalen i en större gudinnereligiös och feministisk kontext, samt ställer dem i relation till en nyare, för ämnet relativt oprövad feministisk teori: Donna Haraways poststrukturalistiska, kroppsmaterialistiska feminism.      I studien framkommer det att det gudinnereligiösa språket i hög utsträckning handlar om att benämna sina egna upplevelser, snarare än att uttala sig generellt och objektivt, vilket leder till att en mångfald av perspektiv på Gudinnan, kön, kropp och kvinnlighet framträder parallellt. Samtidigt framkommer dock ett antal perspektiv på Gudinnan, kön, kropp och kvinnlighet som tenderar att bli normativa inom gudinnereligiositeten, vilket till stor del tycks bero på den normativa effekt som skrivet material från traditioner som wicca, new age, jungiansk teori, samt amerikansk feministisk wicca har.

Denna studie erbjuder en litterär analys av gestaltandet av sexualitet i den amerikanske författaren Rymond Carvers novell "So much water so close to home". Analysen lyfter bland annat fram den obligatoriska heterosexualiteten som den teoretiseras av Adrienne Rich och hur manlig kontroll av kvinnans sexualitet inom den heterosexuella institutionen tar sig uttryck i texten.Utöver det undersöks i analysen vilka principer som kan anses ligga bakom konstrueringen av sexualitet i novellen samt hur dessa tar sig uttryck. Den aspekten av analysen tar avstamp i Judith Butlers teori om diskursivt skapade kön och genus samt den heterosexuella matrisen som utgångspunkt för all sexuell åtrå. .

The Swedish academic libraries have gone trough radical changes during the last decades. The development of information technology, the educational expansion and new pedagogical ways of learning within the higher educational system have changed the conditions, not only for the academic libraries, but also in many ways for the librarians. The aim of this Masters thesis is to examine how Swedish librarians experience their pedagogic role and task in the context of an academic library. The following four questions in this investigation were asked: How do the librarians experience the formal task that they have? How do the librarians experience the physical library environment? How do the librarians experience the co-operation with others involved in their work? How do the librarians experience their own pedagogic knowledge and competence in their daily practice? The study showed that these librarians believed the physical environment to be very important and is seen as a pedagogical tool in their daily work.

The main purpose with this essay is to evaluate how the characters of the sexually deviated was discussed during the sexual political debate in the 1960s, and if those apprehensions were reflected in SOU 1976:9 concerning sexual abuse. Furthermore, my prime intention will be to compare the reconstructed historical context, alias the sexual political debate, with the analyzed document, with the purpose to explicate why the anticipated political action weren?t sanctioned and implemented by the parliament. The analysis is carried out through a methodology that retrieves its primal premises from Quentin Skinners theories regarding the history of ideas. My most essential conclusions would be that there in fact existed an equivalence regarding the ideological framework between the radical axioms that was conceived during the sexual political debate and the stipulations that was formulated in the document.

This essay examines the relationships between the different elements in Lisa Jonasson?s collage Existentiell Progg #6 and her very detailed technique. The essay has as its aims to understand and analyze both the details and the wholeness of the artwork and to try to put the collage in an art historical context. The thesis finds that Existentiell Progg #6 has a connection to the imagery of Africa and other collage artist such as Hannah Höch and Nancy Spero, which also gives the paper a perspective of feminism in the arts. The paper continues to create an understanding for the collage work by putting it in to Theodor Adorno?s theories about nature, the human being and the animal kingdom.

Abstract The purpose of this essay is to compare the integration policy between Socialdemokraterna, Moderaterna and Sverigedemokraterna with focus on labor-market integration, housing segregation and language knowledge. The international immigration has in recent years increased significantly and this has also enriched the receiving countries and still the numbers of extreme right parties have increased. In Sweden a racist populist party, Sverigedemokraterna, are only a few steps away from entering the parliament. The question in focus is: What differences or similarities are there between the integration politics between Moderaterna, Socialdemokraterna and Sverigedemokraterna with focus on the areas housing, work and language?  By applying the theoretical framework to the data, I have been able to present answers and build up an analysis. The study concludes that there are more similarities than differences in the integration policy between Moderaterna and Socialdemokraterna.

Sweden has an active and growing culture of feminist comic book artists that use comedy as a mean of disseminating political ideas and critic. In this essay I do a reparative reading of Sara Granér?s comic book All I Want for Christmas is planekonomi in order to find out if it advocates alternative orders and/or ways of expression. By exploring what the comic book does to me as a reader and how, using the term ?skev? ? a hybrid of queer that examines normativity not strictly tied to sexuality ? and gulesque theory ? a mix of feminism, cuteness, the grotesque and riot grrrl ?, I show that the comic book, through the use of comedy, works as a trojan My Little Pony, reclaiming the girly franchise, while challenging several so-called dichotomies, such as: femininity/masculinity; youth/adult; high art/kitsch.

The Purpose of the study was to highlight the primary care managers' perception of the barriers and opportunities in the implementation of the national guidelines for harmful drinking and alcohol abuse in KalmarCounty. The data was collected by questionnaires which were directed to all primary care managers in the county. The response rate was low, 40%. The data collection was complemented at a later stage with a non-response analysis. To analyze the results implementation theory with following terms were used: wants to, understand and know.

The aim was to describe the experiences of couples where the male partner had undergone radical prostatectomy due to prostate cancer. Furthermore, the study explored how the operation had affected their sexual life, whether the couples had received enough post surgical support and information concerning these issues, and to describe the kind of support and information these couples desired. Twenty men and ten partners participated. All the men experienced a varying degree of post surgical erectile dysfunction and only five men had received support concerning their sexual life. Eleven men desired professional visiting support activities.

Uppsala Universitet: Institutionen för musikvetenskap, C-uppsats 2006.During the 1950s, Swedens musical avantgarde was mainly lead by the concert organisation Fylkingen. Some of the leading members used to belong to the Mondaygroup in the 1940s and brought a will to update and modernise Swedish music with them into Fylkingen. This resulted in a radical change in the concert programs of Fylkingen and a development that lead to the introduction of the music of Karlheinz Stockhausen in Sweden.

This essay is about the Workers Communist Party. My method for the analyzing part in this essay is qualitative methods such as text and idea analysis. I have chosen the words of Claudin to describe which ideological standpoints Workers Communist Party have. First I write about the background to why Workers Communist Party was formed in 1977. The background is the big split of extreme left wingers from the left party, which formed several organisations such as The Communist Marxist-Leninist Revolutionary Party and The Communist Organization for Marxist-Leninists.

Denna uppsats avser studera hur kvinnor i diaspora framställs på film. Undersökningen är utförd på filmerna Persepolis (Marjane Satrapi, 2004) och Exils (Tony Gatlif, 2007). De teoretiska utgångspunkter som uppsatsens analysdel grundar sig på är: postkolonialism, hybriditet och postkolonial feminism. Analysen är utförd efter mina egna frågeställningar, tolkningar och reflektioner, med hermeneutiken som metod. Slutsatsen visar att kvinnorna i diaspora framställs som starka och självständiga. De visar motstånd mot auktoriteter.

Meningen med denna uppsats är att genom en jämförande analys utforska vad dessa två verk från början av 1980-talet säger om samtiden i fråga om politiska och feministiska aspekter. Uppsatsen börjar med beskrivningar och analyser av verkan var för sig där det konstateras att Kristina Abelli Elander kritiserar köns- och familjeroller medan Erla Thorarinsdottir tar upp kampen för fred och kärleken till sitt hemland.
