The aim of this study is to examine new interpretations of homosexuality in Islam based on Scott Kugle?s book ?Homosexuality in Islam? and the documentary ?A Jihad for love? by Parvez Sharma. Through a theological perspective, a critical analysis is performed in order to find new interpretations and compare them with each other and with the Islamic legal tradition. Argumentative analysis is also used for both the book and the documentary for this essay.     Both Kugle and Sharma use new interpretations and arguments about love to find space for homosexuality in Islam. They use a Muslim language to have relevance with their discussions to Muslim readers and viewers.

Background:Due to a more open climate in society for homosexual people several lesbian couples have given birth to children in their relations. Research has shown no differences between children in lesbian families and children in heterosexual families considering mental and social health. International research has also shown that lesbian parents often have bad experiences from meetings with healthcare providers.Theaim of this study was to describe lesbian child families/familyplannings and the lesbian parents experiences and expectations of the healthcare.Themethod for the study was qualitative interview with 9 lesbian parents. The data was analysed by the Queer theory heteronormative concept.Theresults of the research was that lesbian families considered themselves as a nuclear family and at the same time distanced themselves from the nuclear family concept. The findings showed that lesbian couples are involved in a very long process when they try to become parents.

Uppsatsen är en kvalitativ intervjustudie, med barnperspektiv som metodologisk utgångspunkt. Syftet är att infoga några barns röster, angående vem som stör(s) i det offentliga rummet.Intervjuerna genomfördes våren 2008 i Stockholmsområdet, med ett urval av fyra barn i nioårsåldern. Gruppintervjuerna skedde vid två tillfällen och formen var halvstrukturerad.Olika teorier tillämpas utifrån en problematisering av vuxenmakt, där barnens reflektioner relateras med positioneringar och normer. Teoretiska begrepp från Queer- och maskulinitetsteori används för att se till maktdynamiken, mellan barn och vuxna. Det framkommer att de intervjuade barnen använder sig av olika motståndsstrategier, för att handskas med rådande vuxenmakt i det offentliga rummet.

Syftet har varit att synliggöra och analysera inkludering och exkludering inom den svenska hbtq-rörelsen, samt att fördjupa förståelsen för konflikterna inom rörelsen. Genom diskursteoretisk analys av massmedias beskrivning av aktioner under 2012 har följande resultat uppnåtts; inom rörelsen framkommer två diskurser, med olika syn på vilka politiska frågor rörelsen ska fokusera på. Dessa kallas i uppsatsen den endimensionella och den flerdimensionella diskursen. Den endimensionella vill återgå till en mer "klassisk" homokamp, medan den flerdimensionella har ett mer intersektionellt synsätt och vill bredda det politiska spektrumet. Diskurserna har även olika syn på vilka politiska metoder som är mest effektiva samt skiljer sig åt i sitt förhållningssätt till Queerbegreppet.

Denna uppsats redogo?r fo?r hur homosexuella, bisexuella och transsexuella personer har karakta?riserats inom svensk film mellan a?ren 1916 och 1998. Underso?kningens ma?l har varit att ta reda pa? hur framsta?llandet av HBT-personer har fo?ra?ndrats under tidsperioden och relatera detta till samha?llets lagar och normer kring homosexualitet samt till den internationella utvecklingen. Uppsatsen visar att homosexualitet alls inte diskuterades o?ppet inom den svenska filmen fo?rra?n i slutet av 1940-talet.

Uppsatsen Män med män handlar om hur par bestående av män bildas i två svenska romaner, Jonas Gardells Präriehundarna (1987) och Bengt Martins Sodomsäpplet (1968). Det som studeras är gestaltningen av hur förhållandet mellan männen påverkas av heteronormen och hur heterosexuella förhållanden står som en motpol för parbildandet. Identitet och maskulinitet är andra ämnen som behandlas i uppsatsen som tittar på hur romanpersonernas identitetssökande gestaltas. Uppsatsen finner hur paret i Präriehundarna gestaltas att de starkt är påverkade av den heteronormativa och väljer att använda detta som ett sätt att utgå ifrån och ta avstånd från detta, men samtidigt har paret svårt att finna sig själva och vara bekväma i sin maskulinitet i en samkönad relation. I Sodomsäpplet finner uppsatsen tydliga bevis på att den kulturella kontexten påverkar stort i identifikation hos huvudpersonen och att Martins gestaltning är grundad i den samma.

This is a qualitative study based on interviews with teachers, social workers and school counselors ? with aim to analyze how norm critical social work is in schools. Gender and sexuality norms are in focus which is analyzed in a intersectional and Queer theoretical perspective. The study shows that what is defined as a norm in the society varies both socially, historically and culturally. School is a reflection of its society and therefore also reflects its norms, such as heteronormativity and gender roles.

The aim of our study was to examine how homosexual and heterosexual men and women are represented in the Swedish magazine QX, a magazine for gay, bisexual and transgender people. We wanted to find out what kind of roles the persons in QX appears in, and inquire the relationships that exist between them.We analyzed the texts in twelve magazines, from December 2008 to November 2009, in order to get the most current results as possible. We used a discourse analysis, with focus on identities, relationships and the representation of the world. Representations, gender, hegemonic masculinity and stereotypes have been significant theories to analyze our results.The results showed that the successful gay man is the most important person in QX. He is the perfect masculine macho fagot, who is highest in rank.

The purpose of this study is to examine escort-business with a focus on sales of BDSM-services (Bondage and Discipline, Dominance and Submission, Sadism and Masochism). The study is based on qualitative interviews with three informants providing BDSM-services, as well as a survey with 96 men who requested domination of escorts (the survey was carried out by an escort in the 1980s). The analysis of this material resulted in the identification of three themes on which the study centers: The personal experiences of the three escorts, the interaction between the escorts and the clients, and the changes over time when it comes to the performance of BDSM-services. The study has a gender perspective with a focus on feminism and Queer-theory. The important conclusions are that there are several differences between prostitution having a focus on BDSM-services and other prostitution.

This study aims to analyse textbooks used in the course Religious Education 1 in Swedish upper secondary schools. The textbooks were analysed by using qualitative content analysis. By using Queer theory and the theory about ?homo religiosus?, the study examined which norms concerning sex, gender, sexuality and relationships the textbooks convey.            The study shows that the textbooks convey norms about sex and gender by portraying the men?s perspective when educating about the different religions. The women perspective is being discussed in a specific part of the chapters and is therefore being portrayed as different.

Denna uppsats undersöker hur Malmös högstadieskolor arbetar mot homofobi och heteronormativitet. Uppsatsen utgår från ett Queerteoretiskt perspektiv och materialet består av två enkäter bland lärare och skolledare på sammanlagt tretton skolor. Resultaten tyder bl a på att kränkningar pga sexuell läggning och kön är vanliga på skolorna samt att lärarna nästan helt saknar utbildning och kompetensutveckling på området. Vidare saknas det sammanhållna strategier för likabehandlingsarbetet från skolledarnas sida, vilka i stället överlåter detta arbete på hugade lärare. Detta lämnar fältet öppet för de heteronormaliserande processerna upprätthållande av tystnader, patologisering av homosexualiteter och bevakning av genusgränser.

The aim of the study is to examine which present conceptions of sexuality there are in treatment of substance abuse for men. The intention is to examine how staff members in these environments perceive clients? sex and sexuality as well as studying if and in that case how they work with sexuality in treatment. A qualitative method formed the methodological approach and semistructured interviews were carried out for the collection of data. Four staff members from two different treatment institutions for substance abuse were interviewed.

The purpose of this essay is to examine how Elin Wägner depicts the middle-aged woman who lives in the country in Sweden, in the 1920?s. The question at issue is: What problems and what subjects for rejoicing does she raise? My aim is to try to understand the women?s situation, as well as how Elin Wägner describes the situation in her four novels from the 1920?s: Den namnlösa (1922), Silverforsen (1924), Natten till söndag (1926) och Svalorna flyga högt (1929). At the same time I intend to compare the woman of the 1920?s to the situation of women today.I am writing from a feministic literary theory called ?omläsning? according to the description of Gunilla Domellöf.

The purpose of this thesis has been to explore in what ways Franz Kafka?s ?The Metamorphosis? can be read as a story of gender. By bringing together Judith Butler?s theory of materialization and Lennard J. Davis?s crip theory I have spoken of Dismodernity as the domain of abject bodies that have been repudiated by (post)modern societies as untintelligible and dysfunctional.
