Davis?s crip theory I have spoken of Dismodernity as the domain of abject bodies that have been repudiated by (post)modern societies as untintelligible and dysfunctional.

In this study I try to answer the question what to consider when teaching about identity andreligious identity in Religious Studies at Upper Secondary Schools in Sweden. This inquiry isbased on the fact that the latest Program manuals for upper secondary school, GY11, instructsthe teachers to talk about identity and religion, while in the Curriculum for upper secondaryscool, Lpf 94, as well as the latest curriculum, SKOLFS 2011, the idea of identity seemslinked with ethnicity.With this in mind I want to clarify what might be meant with the concept of identity. Byreferring to several different identity theories I propose to illustrate the complexity of theconcept. I study gender, queer and postcolonial theory as well as different aspects of classstructure and commodification of identity, all through the perspective of intersectionality.Intersectionality is not a theory as such but a method of studying various perspectives of anissue. It is an analytical praxis of using several angles of investigation and explanationtogether, all phrased with the background of the question of power.
"Alla har rätt att sova sked": drömmen om det ideala parförhållandet
Denna uppsats undersöker hur idén om det ideala parförhållandet och de genusnormer som detta ideal skapar, uttrycks på en svensk nätdejtingsida. Materialet utgörs av fyrtio presentationer författade av tjugo kvinnor respektive män som skapat en profil på dejtingsajten match.com, och som alla identifierar sig som heterosexuella. Diskussionen baserar sig både på vilka ramar själva sajten sätter för vad som är möjligt att söka och vilka normer personerna själva ger uttryck för och förhåller sig till i sina presentationer. Uppsatsen tar sin utgångspunkt i queer och diskursteori.I uppsatsen argumenteras det för att både nätdejting som fenomen och det som framkommer ur människors individuella presentationer, visar att människor vill innanför den heteronormativa ramen och att detta till stor del beror på att det bara är där som man enligt den hegemoniska berättelsen kan finna äkta tillfredsställelse i livet. Men för att komma innanför denna norm, måste man inta vissa subjektspositioner och anta vissa implicita regler/traditioner/värden i en välutformad mall för hur ens liv ska formeras.
Varför tvivlar jag? : En essä om att omsätta vetenskapliga teorier med praktisk kunskap
This essay is about the development process I have undergone during my experience-based preschool teacher education. I write about my internal process, about how I as a childcare worker go from assertiveness and believing in myself into fighting doubts, thoughts and feelings as a preschool teacher. The purpose with this essay is to make the difficulties with managing new knowledge and practicing it in real life visible, and at the same time overcome your uncertainty in a new professional role. The essay is based on two stories from my professional life where I, in the first one portray my actions and behavior as a childcare worker and in the second one as a preschool teacher. Based on my stories I try to answer questions as what does the individual learning process look like when going from one professional role to another in the same profession? What impact does theoretical knowledge have on practical knowledge?I have used reflection and writing as methods for my paper.
"Sex? I'd rather have a cup of tea" : En maskulinitetsstudie av popfenomenet Boy George
Uppsatsen är en kulturanalys som med utgångspunkt i den brittiska popikonen Boy George behandlar intersektioner mellan maskulinitet, sexualitet, populärkultur och makt. Syftet är att skildra Boy George i sin specifika kontext, närmare bestämt den brittiska musikindustrin på 1980- talet. Mot den bakgrunden analyseras hur hans maskulinitet och sexualitet kan förstås som ett uttryck för synen på sexualitet och kön under hans samtid. Uppsatsen syftar till att urskilja vilka normgränser relaterade till kön och sexualitet Boy George rörde sig inom genom en närstudie av detaljer i rörlig bild och text. Uppsatsen utgår från queerteori, med användning av begreppet heteronormativitet samt den heterosexuella matrisen som analytiskt verktyg.
Ibland är det svårt : Varför specialpedagogen ibland nekas tillträde av lärarna till klassrum/lektion
The aim of this work has been to investigate how it is that it sometimes can be difficult for special educators to gain access by teachers to the classroom/lesson to make observations. A partial order has been to determine whether the special educator can curb the negative response from the teacher in question, concerning access to the classroom/lesson. The survey has a phenomenological perspective as the basis of the test procedures and the analyses made. Phenomenology has as its starting point that the human does not perceive the world in the same way, and that she has different motives and intentions for her actions. In order to understand why the human act like she does, you have to create an image of the personal meaning behind this action. To create this image, I have implemented conversational interviews with five teachers at a high school, in central Sweden. The investigation revealed that it is missing that the school's teachers are clearly informed of which laws and regulations the special educator is subordinate to.

The aim of this study has been to analyze how society is constructed in the workbook Möte med människor från andra kulturer, a popular material within the ?cultural competency? industry. The analysis has largely been carried out from the perspective of a pedagogy against oppression as it has been outlined by Kevin Kumashiro. I have found that the material combines discursive movements, which in complex and hybrid ways deconstruct, decenter, recenter and reproduce stereotypes and norms, through its normative language and pedagogy. A language constructing culture as cleanly demarcated, static and homogenous.
"The spirit of ayahuasca" : de kognitiva grunderna i erfarenheten av substansen ayahuasca: en fältstudie genomförd i Pisac, Peru
This essay aims at understanding the experience of the use of ayahuasca, and similarities and differences between interview protocols and socio-cultural identities. The work is based on field studies conducted in the Peruvian Andes, in the village of Pisac September to November 2009. What has emerged is that the experience does not seem to be dependent on cultural manifestations as much as it is dependent on general human cognition. Theories have been applied on an empirical phenomenological descriptive study. Various brain activities, along with mental mechanisms contribute to a deeper understanding of the findings in the descriptive analysis.It seems that the cultural differences, which I have classed as typological in the phenomenological study, mostly are expressions of meaning for the informants.
Hatbrott & nationalism i Sverige, finns det ett samband?
AbstractMedia presents hate crimes and nationalism as phenomenon that has increased both internationally and nationally in recent years. Further media largely pair these phenomenon together. The groups mostly exposed to hate and nationalism are people of different ethnic origin and LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, bi, trans and queer) people. In Sweden's general election in 2010 a RHP-party, Sweden Democrats, made it in to Parliament. The purpose of this study was to examine how hate crimes and nationalism, in the form of the Sweden Democrats, has increased in Sweden and if there was any link between them.
Gränser : En studie av den estetisk-praktiska miljöns pedagogisk-terapeutiska grundegenskaper utgående från två verksamheter: Hagastiftelsens verkstäder och Kristofferskolans bokbinderi
Borderlands. A study of the aesthetic-practical environment, its pedagogical and therapeutical properties based on the outline of two practices/institutions: the workshops at Hagastiftelsen and the bookbindery at the Kristofferschool. The perspective on education, pedagogy and therapy taken is an existential one where the main aims of an educational-therapeutic intervention is to support biographical development and integrity. In the process action research in my own bookbinding workshop as well as hermeneutic research at the workshops at Hagastiftelsen where adults with autism and other neuropsychological disorders work have been the sources of primary empirical data. Secondary sources are patient-histories written by Oliver Sacks as well as autobiographical narratives of some adults with autism.

"De har den alltid med sig" : Lärares uppfattningar om ett iPad-projekt
Nio lärare har intervjuats om sina förväntningar inför och upplevelser och erfarenheter av att lärare och elever skall få tillgång till iPads i undervisningen. Ansatsen är livsvärldsfenomenologisk. Studiens syfte är att undersöka vilken betydelse de nio lärarna som undervisar eleverna förväntar sig att införandet av iPad kommer att ha för det dagliga arbetet i skolan. Dessutom undersöks om och i så fall hur lärarna upplever att deras arbete i klassrummet förändrats efter att eleverna haft tillgång till iPads i undervisningen under några månader.Studiens frågeställningar är; ?Vilka förväntningar har lärarna på införandet av iPad i det vardagliga arbetet i skolan?? och ?Vilken betydelse upplever lärarna att iPad har haft för lärarna och eleverna i undervisningen??Lärarna upplevde att med iPadens hjälp skulle de kunna arbeta på ett sätt som liknar det eleverna är vana att möta utanför skolan.
"DET BOR EN POJKE I MIG" : En kvalitativ studie om transpersoners plats i ett heteronormativt samhälle
Studiens övergripande syfte är att göra en kvalitativ studie om hur transpersoners livsvillkor påverkas av deras könsidentitet, könsuttryck samt heteronormen. Ytterligare ett syfte var att undersöka hur transpersoner upplever att de blivit bemötta när de passerat som kvinnor och/eller uttryckt en kvinnlig könsidentitet jämfört med när de passerat som män och/eller uttryckt en manlig könsidentitet. Data samlades in genom kvalitativa intervjuer med fem självidentifierade transpersoner, varav tre identifierade sig som MtF (Male to female), en som FtM (Female to male) och en som intergender eller genderqueer. Deltagarna rekryterades med hjälp av Internet samt med hjälp av personliga kontakter. Med utgångspunkt i socialkonstruktivistiska teorier som queerteori har en tematisk analys av insamlad data genomförts, av vilken det framgått att transpersoners livsvillkor i stor utsträckning påverkas av heteronormen samt att de blivit bemötta på mycket olika sätt beroende på om de passerat som män eller kvinnor.
Flickstaden : Flickbokens diskurs och sadomasochism i Agnes von Krusenstjernas Ninas dagbok, Helenas första kärlek och Fröknarna von Pahlen
The object of this essay is the Swedish author Agnes von Krusenstjerna's novels Ninas dagbok (The diary of Nina) and Helenas första kärlek (Helena's first love) as well as the cycle novel Fröknarna von Pahlen (The misses von Pahlen). The purpose is to explore her use of the discourse of girls' fiction, which I analyse by the depiciton of women's sexual awakening, and her depiction of sadomasochism. The theories of Elaine Showalter, Jacques Derrida, Michel Foucault and Judith Butler are used.Women's sexual awakening is depicted similarly in the novels but more explicitly in Fröknarna von Pahlen. In Ninas dagbok and Helenas första kärlek there is an eroticization of dominance and submission, which is not explicitly sadomasochistic. In Fröknarna von Pahlen, sadomasochism is explicitly described as a "perverted" sexuality and reveals the inequality in the violent sexuality, which is described as "normal".
Föräldraroll - ett framtidsyrke? : en empirisk studie om hur sex föräldrar ser på föräldrarollen i ljuset av utbildningsidealet
Over the past decade there has been considerable debate in the media concerning the necessity of educating parents in how to be better parents, and strengthening their parental role. This question has also been debated at a national level, resulting in the state commissioning a number of official investigations into the problems that parental education could resolve. A growing body of scientific studies have shown that parental-educational programmes play a strong role in preventing behavioural problems amongst children and teenagers. Many Councils in Sweden already offer these parental courses to their citizens, but discussions are ongoing as to whether these courses should be obligatory for all parents before or near to the moment that they begin to have children. This conclusion has been supported by the official investigations commissioned to look into this issue.
