Gamification concerns integrating game design, with emphasis on game mechanics and game dynamics, into non-gaming contexts ? such as marketing. This report describes the construction work of a radar antenna for the radar systemCARABAS. CARABAS is a long wave airborne ground radar that has been developed bySAAB Microwave Systems and will now be mounted on a small helicopter, Schweizer 300.The antenna should be able to fold up and down. When the radar is in use the antenna islowered and under transport, start and landing the antenna is folded up. An emergency dropfunction should also be included in the design of CARABAS III.The extent of this report includes construction of the antenna, frame structure attached to thehelicopter, mechanism for folding the antenna up and down and mechanism for emergencydrop function. The mechanical design of the antenna and frame structure is based on modaland stress analysis, vibration measurement of Schweizer 300 and frequency analysis, andcalculations regarding aerodynamic drag and mechanics.The exciting frequencies of the helicopter and accelerations at those frequencies weredetermined by vibration measurement and frequency analysis.

This thesis applies to a novel steam expander, one part of a steam engine system, a wobble plateengine. The piston in the expander moves axially with the outgoing rotating shaft and is locatedon a plate, why the engine type is called axial engine. When steam is applied to the plungers theplate wobbles creating a rotation on the shaft going thru the wobble plate. In this report focus is put on the combustion process at a cement plant. Combustion is the heart of the cement making process and absolutely crucial to have under full control and well optimized. The fuel is put into the process through a burner pipe and this burner pipe is modified to reach a more efficient combustion. The primary target is to enable burning of heterogeneous alternative fuels and increase the production level. Other positive effects from this type of optimization is lowered specific fuel consumption and lowered CO2 emissions. A redundant burner is chosen for the project and overall the project steps are the following: 1. We have instead chosen to focus on teaching children about changes in the climate and the consequences of this.Many of the toys available on the market today encourage children to consume. Luxury cars and dolls with hundreds of accessories are often made of materials that has have a negative effect on the environment.Another problem we often encountered during the year is the declining interest in technology and science.

Syfte ? Syftet med examensarbetet är att minimera eller helt eliminera den utböjning som uppstår i Husqvarnas trimmer 536 LiR från handtag ner till motor och trimmerhuvud då en 5 kilos vikt hängs i handtaget.Metod ? En konceptstudie har utförts på Husqvarnas trimmer 536 LiR för att undersöka och utvärdera hur problemet med trimmern ser ut i dagsläget och därifrån ta fram olika koncept för att minimera utböjningen. Arbetet har följt en Stage-Gate produktutvecklingsprocess med sju steg från att skriva kravspecifikation till att ta fram och testa prototyper. Koncept genererades med metoderna brainstorming och Reverse Engineering och sållades sedan med Pughs beslutsmatris. Finita elementmetoden användes för att utvärdera produkten och för att analysera vissa koncept.

Treotham representerar ett 40-tal leverantörer inom elektronik, automation samt elinstallation. I deras sortiment finns en spisvakt vars uppgift är att förhindra de olyckor och bränder som direkt kan knytas till torrkokning eller höga temperaturer under matlagning vid köksspisen. Spisvakten består av två huvudkomponenter, ett manöverdon som placeras på väggen ovanför spishällen och en huvudenhet som sitter bakom spisen. Produkten är i första hand avsedd för äldre människor med någon form av demenssjukdom.

Deponering är en metod som sedan länge använts för att behandla avfall. Metoden är dock kopplad till en rad miljöpåverkande faktorer, varav produktion av lakvatten är en. I lakvattnet finns bland annat lösta näringsämnen och metaller och dessa kan ge negativ påverkan på ekosystem om de sprids i miljön.Det här examensarbetet syftar till att besvara frågan om metaller i lakvatten kan retarderas genom att lakvattnet från en specialcell infiltreras i en biocell. För att besvara frågeställningen har mätvärden för ett antal kemiska parametrar analyserats på en deponeringsanläggning som ligger i Malmö och bedrivs av SYSAV.Arbetet avser även svara på frågan hur hårt biocellen kan belastas i fråga om hydraulik. Därför simuleras de förväntade uppehållstiderna av vatten i biocellen vid olika infiltrations-hastighet och porositet.För att ge resultaten tyngd har en litteraturstudie avseende deponering, hydrologi och hydraulik, lakvatten och metallers mobilitet i mark och vatten gjorts.Resultatet från litteraturstudien visar bland annat att lakvatten produceras genom att nederbörd perkolerar genom avfallet.

Problemfomulering: Ystad, som är beläget längs Skånes sydkust, har länge varit utsatt för kusterosion. När det blåser över Östersjön genereras vågor som orsakar uppspolning och direkt erosion av klitterna på stranden. Ett av de mest utsatta områdena är Ystads Sandskog, beläget öster om Ystads centrum. Här karakteriseras strandprofilen av en relativt kort strand med klitter som skyddar den låglänta bakomliggande terrängen. Vid en eventuell framtida klimatförändring med högre vågor och vattenstånd riskerar den redan utsatta kuststräckan att drabbas ännu hårdare.

Problemställning: Erosion är ett problem längs många stränder i Sveriges. Ett flertal stränder i Lomma kommun (sydvästra Skåne) har eroderat under en längre tid, vilket har negativt påverkat kustnära infrastrukturer och aktiviteter. Föreliggande studie fokuserar på erosionsproblemen längs en kuststräcka definierad av Öresundsvägen och V:a Kennelvägen i Bjärred, beläget i norra delen av kommunen. Där hotas bebyggelse och infrastruktur av vågor som skapas av stormar vilka mestadels uppträder under höst- och vinterperioden. Stormarna bidrar till höga uppspolningshöjder genom vågorna som tillsammans med höga vattenstånd eroderar material från strandbankarna.
