This essay addresses the issue of stress by income earners in Sweden 18-64 years old and any possible relationship to their social ties and the individualization process. The data were collected through a questionnaire, sent out to about 185 working men and women. The results showed a relationship between fewer social ties in everyday life and perceived stress of the individual. The result also showed a relationship between higher degree of individualization and stress. Both of these correlations is confirmed by previous research on the concept of work-life and theory of the new individualism.One of the most interesting results the study showed was that there was none relationship with gender and perceived stress in the individual.

It generally takes 10 to 12 years for a new drug to hit the market. The pharmaceutical industry invests huge sums in these early stages of research and development. In spite of the rapidly rising research and development expenditures fewer and fewer blockbuster drugs are being developed. Longer lead times and aggressive generic post-patent competition have narrowed the timeframe for the pharmaceutical companies to profit on their investments.In the face of these threats the pharmaceutical industry has developed a battery of strategies to prolong market exclusivity and to maximize return on investment. These emerging strategies are commonly known as Life cycle management (LCM), which actually is more of a concept than a method.

A large proportion of businesses around the world is today ISO 9001 certified and is consequently conducting internal audits on a regular basis. It has however not been possible to conclude that internal audits always add value to the organisation, despite the large utilisation of this tool. Some authors, e.g. Alic & Rusjan (2010) and Wealleans (2000), mean that there are possibilities that internal audits may be used as a value-adding improvement tool. This has led to the emergence of this master?s thesis.The purpose of the case study was therefore formulated to examine how internal quality audits can be made more effective and used as an improvement tool.

Species that have a high degree of specialization and poor dispersal ability can be more prone to extinction than more generalist species and good dispersers. How these species traits affect the viability of populations is dependent on landscape factors,such as isolation and connectivity. Additionally, interactions between species (e.g. symbiosis), and how these interactions vary spatially and temporally can have a large impact on populations. When the range and habitat areas of a species continuously decrease, management strategies are often needed if the species shall be able to survive.

Denna uppsats utreder problematiken rörande hantering och lagring av reservdelar vid Stora Enso Skoghall. Reservdelar följer sällan ett givet efterfrågemönster vilket gör det svårt att använda klassiska ordermodeller som exempelvis EOQ. Den teoretiska referensramen går igenom de klassiska modellerna samt några modeller anpassade för reservdelshantering. Vår undersökning riktar dels in sig på processer och handlingsförfaranden hos Skoghall samt några artiklar ur olika kategorier för att verklighetsanknyta modellerna. De slutsatser som vi dragit från vår undersökning är att det inte finns någon universalmodell som på ett enkelt sätt löser reservdelsproblematiken.

Livskvalitet är ett ord som används i flera olika sammanhang och än finns ingen övergripande definition av begreppet. Vad livskvalitet är för äldre råder det också delade meningar och få studier har undersökt äldres upplevelse av sin livskvalitet. I Sveriges bor cirka 16% av de över 80 år i särskilt boende och många åtgärder görs för att förbättra deras livskvalitet. Arbetets syfte var att undersöka och sammanställa befintlig kunskap om upplevelsen av livskvalitet hos äldre i Nordiska särskilda boende och metoden som användes var en systematisk litteratur-studie av kvalitativa artiklar. Åtta artiklar inkluderades och resultatet tolkades att kunna beskrivas utifrån fem kategorier: Trygghet kontra otrygghet, oberoende kontra beroende, respekt kontra brist på respekt, inre miljö kontra yttre miljö och gemenskap kontra ensamhet.

Psoriasis är en kronisk inflammatorisk hudsjukdom. Cirka två procent av Sveriges befolkning har sjukdomen. Syftet med denna litteraturstudie är att beskriva hur det är att leva med psoriasis. Resultatet baserades på åtta vetenskapliga artiklar, vilka systematiskt söktes och kvalitetsbedömdes av Carlsson & Eimans (2003) bedömningsmall. Resultatet visade att psoriasis patienternas livskvalitet påverkades negativt i de dagliga aktiviteterna samt i sociala relationer.

Background: Pet therapy has existed as a concept since 1964 when the American child psychologist Boris Levinson coined the term. Nowadays Animal Assisted Activity (AAA) and Animal Assisted Therapy (AAT) are both recognized concepts, and with progressed research the science of pet therapy increases.Purpose: To summate the most recent science in pet therapy (therapy dog) research with focus on physical, psychical, and social effects.Methods: Literature study/review with descriptive design, research on 21 articles published from year 2003 and onward. Articles used in the study were chosen through beforehand decided criteria, subject to quality rating, and summated in an overview. The main results were summated and presented in similarities and differences.Results: The main result of the summation was that important results could be measured in each of the three fields of research. Physical/physiological effects: pain relief, differentiated results on vital signs, and increased activity.

Problem: Nya företag är viktiga för en kommun. Kommuner arbetar dock väldigt olika när det gäller att hantera nya företagsetableringar. Vissa kommuner arbetar mer aktivt medan andra är mer passiva och ambitionerna skiljer sig starkt åt mellan dem. Företagen har ofta fler alternativa etableringsorter. The purpose is presented in the frame of the creationtheology of Wingren. To be able to make the research and to answer the purpose of the essay, the following questions are essential:The human being is captive and redemption is liberation. If we are serious about that the gospel gives the human being rehabilitation, satisfaction, liberation and a life and a future with God, the essential question is which metaphor, a juridical or a biological, that speaks to the human being in the best way? What is the meaning of an accentshift from a juridical to a biological metaphor? How does the creationtheologhy of Wingren, from a biological metaphor, meets the situation of the existence for the human being, her longing for life, health and meaning? What kind of theological resources are present in the creationtheology of Wingren, in the confrontation with future theological challenges?The essay is stressing the need of pluralism in the interpretation of the gospel.

The aim with this study was to describe how the board members of athletic clubs view and value their youth program. A qualitative approach was used in form of interviews. The interviews were made face to face as well as being taped, this to facilitate the analysis. When the board members viewed their youth program to be in alignment with the overall club philosophy there was a discrepancy between their views and the ?de facto? conditions of the youth program.

Today, palliative care is performed in several different areas. When the curative treatment is no longer effective the objective of the palliative care is to promote the best possible quality of life for dying patients, through an active and overall treatment. In their work nurses see death and the dying. To highlight and to reach an understanding of the significance of their work, this literature study's objective is, using Carnevali´s thoughts about health as a theoretical framework, to describe different aspects of nurses' experiences of working with dying patients within palliative care. Furthermore the occurrence of stress and possible stress factors will be examined, as well as the nurses' access to support and to established coping strategies..

Resultat: Vi framhåller att den teoretiska spänningen mellan reaktionssnabbhet och synergi som uppstår när decentraliserade organisationer fokuserar på kärnkompetensbaserad strategi till viss del kan hanteras av ledningen genom ett adekvat agerande. För att skapa synergier krävs centralisering. Då strategisk beslutsrätt är en nyckelfaktor för reaktionssnabbhet kan och bör den inte fråntas SBU:s. Vår slutsats är att om en decentraliserad organisation centraliserar den operativa beslutsrätten istället för den strategiska, bör den kunna öka både reaktionssnabbheten och synergierna i företaget som helhet. Centralisering av företagets operativa delar minimerar den initialt negativa effekten på reaktionssnabbhet som centraliseringen medför.

Bakgrund: Hepatit C är en leverinflammation som orsakas av ett virus. HCV räknas som blodburen smitta. Den största riskgruppen för att få smittan är sprutnarkomaner, vårdpersonal och patienter som fick smittan i vårdsammanhang, innan blod som användes inom sjukvården testades på viruset.Syftet: Att beskriva hur människor med kronisk hepatit C upplever att leva med sin sjukdom och hur bemötandet från sjukvården och omgivningen upplevs.Metod: Litteraturöversikt med kvalitativ ansats. Sju vetenskapliga, kvalitativa artiklar användes och en manifest innehållsanalys genomfördes.Resultat: Informanterna upplevde en förlorad tro på den egna kroppsförmågan och en sämre livssituation på grund av de fysiska sjukdomssymtomen. Att leva med hepatit C gjorde att framtiden kändes osäker och oförutsägbar.

It has been shown that the family needs support to manage their life situation, when their child is ill. Aim: The aim of this study was to illustrate the family?s life situation, when a child gets cancer.
