Denna uppsats handlar om musikterapi som behandling i psykosocial rehabilitering av vuxna cancerpatienter. Syftet var att undersöka föreställningar och upplevelser som kommuniceras från patienter genom musikaliska gestaltningar eller andra uttryck med anknytning till musikterapin.Uppsatsen beskriver cancersjukdom och rehabilitering ur ett psykosocialt perspektiv. Den beskriver musikterapi, med särskild fördjupning mot musikterapi i cancervård, samt illustrerar arbetet genom kliniska exempel.Undersökningen är kvalitativ, med influenser från fenomenologi och hermeneutik. Underlaget utgörs av empiriska data: arbetsanteckningar från 8 musikterapier. Forskaren deltog själv i den beskrivna verksamheten och materialet präglas av subjektivitet.

Cardiac arrhythmias and heart diseases can result in a limited performance capacity which could lead to anxiety and depression. Objective: The aim of this study was to investigate the prevalence of symptoms of depression among patients with cardiac arrhythmias. The intention was also to explore differences between men and women in the occurrence of symptoms of depression. Furthermore, the prevalence of symptoms of depression among patients with cardiac arrhythmias was compared with a Swedish general population. Method: For two weeks MADRS-S, a self-rating scale for depression, were distributed at a medicine ward where patients with cardiac arrhythmias are treated, at a hospital in Sweden.

The purpose of this study is to investigate teachers? efforts to teach students with dyslexia in Swedish. The intention with this study is to get the right tools to work with these kinds of students in a more improved and giving way in the future. My questions of issue are:- How can teachers facilitate the learning process for students with dyslexia?- Are pupils with dyslexia included in the teachers? education in the classroom?- How do the other pupils integrate with the dyslexia pupils in the classroom?- How does the teacher manage the situation to teach the whole class at the same time as he/she helps the pupils with dyslexia?- How do you practice when to assess and rate the students with dyslexia?The method used in this paper is a combination of participant observation and interviews with two teachers and their classes.

The PhonePages of Sweden is a company that develops software for mobile units, especially cell phones. This thesis treats the development of, and contingencies for, a mobile phone directory, using the limited resources found in a mobile unit. The project was implemented and executed at The PhonePages with the intention of creating a product to sell to a third party.By studying different solutions, their benefits and drawbacks, an abstract picture of the product was constructed. Problems covered include compatibility problems caused by todays platform diversity as well as problems with saving, organizing and presenting data.The main goal was to create a phone directory which does not make external information retrievals. The service should contain both company and personal information, with name and phonenumber.

Since January 1st 2005 all companies listed on a regulated stock exchange within the European Union are required to present their financial reports in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). The intention of the introduction of IFRS is to achieve international harmonization of accounting rules in order to make financial reports more comparable between companies from different countries. The purpose of financial reports presented in accordance with IFRS is to provide information that is useful to the users of the information. The aim of this paper is to investigate whether the information regarding goodwill and the goodwill impairment test, presented in accordance with IFRS, in fact is useful to a specific group of accounting information users, namely equity analysts. An empirical study is conducted, based on interviews with seven Swedish equity analysts.

Intention: The purpose of this thesis is to see if an active investment decision in the Swedish Premium Pension System would result in a higher return than a non-active investment decision. A non-active investment decision is equivalent to leaving the money in AP7 Premium Savings Fund.Method: This thesis is a statistical analysis and has a descriptive character in which the calculations are based on secondary data, thus the thesis has a quantitative character. Furthermore three active portfolios in different risk categories have been chosen. These portfolios are compared with the AP7 Premium Savings Fund?s returns.

Computer Forensics investigations have become more and more common while investigating IT-related issues. From experience, hard disks, USB thumb, memory sticks contains information that might be useful. Computer Forensics is regulary conducted by Police, Customs, Tax investigators but also within private companies and organisations. However, there are areas within the storage device that are not part of the organisied structure that a file system gives. The reason for that might be that the information has been erased by intention, a virus destroyed the file system and so on.

This document is a summary of my work to create a project management system for a small firm working with computer graphics. The intention is to manage customers, projects, images and invoices in the easiest possible way. To make the system as flexible as possible a web-interface was chosen which makes it possible to access the system from any computer, making it independent of any particular operating system. The only requirement on the user environment is that the computer must have a connection to the Internet to be able to access the system. The different techniques that have been used to develop the project management system is primarily Ruby on Rails and a MySQL database.

In this essay I analyze the way my collection of poetry relates to the concept cyclic. What is cyclic and what different interpretations are there concerning the concept? Which other related concepts are there regarding things that seem to reoccur regularly? How does the cyclical, the circular, relate to the linear in regard, for example, to the perception of time? Life often creates the sense that different phenomena and experiences repeat themselves. Different processes are conducted according to regular or irregular cyclical phases, situations seem familiar and events can be relived.         Starting from my writing project Sinnligt kviller, a collection of poems, I discuss these questions in themselves and the impact they have had on my collection. I describe the phenomenon cyclic as a result of the emotions and moods this term creates in a more or less decisive way.         The intention with this paper is to show how Sinnligt kviller offers different perspectives of and reflections upon the various feelings provoked by the cyclic in our lives, feelings that are given my own voice in the literary text under study..

Denna studie har undersökt diskursen om miljö, EU:s fria inre marknad och försiktighetsprincipen i några av EU:s förordningar och direktiv som reglerar hanteringen av genmodifierade grödor (GMO). Försiktighetsprincipen genomsyrar alla EU:s lagtexter från senare tid vad gäller hanteringen av GMO-produkter, och har därmed påverkat lagarnas utformning. Vi har undersökt huruvida försiktighetsprincipen motsätter sig EU:s grundläggande intention om en fri inre marknad, och hittat tecken på att försiktighet och marknad inte alltid är kompatibla.Miljöaspekterna i dessa lagtexter har också många gånger visat sig få lämna plats för en säkerhetsdiskurs fokuserad på människors säkerhet, där miljön kommer i andra hand och inte ses som det primära att skydda.Vi ser till stor del en diskurs i dessa lagtexter som konstituerats av människors och samhällets rädsla och krav på säkerhet, snarare än en diskurs som präglat och påverkat samhällets inställning till GMO..

This master?s thesis attends to a debate in the Swedish daily press concerning the public library which arose after the Swedish Moderate Party?s publication of their cultural political document Kulturen 2.0. This document contains a number of standpoints, of which three directly concern the public library: charges on book loans, libraries on contract and politically balanced purchase policy. In all, 28 articles are examined by means of an idea and ideological analysis. The purpose is to find out what is behind the conflicts surrounding attitudes about the public library's mission and activity in an era of needs for change.

A comparative study of the Brazilian and Swedish National Curricula) Syftet med uppsatsen är att uppnå en djupare förståelse för skolpolitiska jämställdhetsfrågor genom en komparativ studie mellan den svenska (Lpo 94) och den brasilianska läroplanen (PCN). Resultatet av jämförelsen visar att ländernas läroplaner har en klar intention att förmedla jämställdhet som ett kunskapsområde och demokratisk värdegrund. Däremot finns det likheter, skillnader samt omfattning i läroplanernas och kursplanernas förmedling för måluppfyllelse mellan länderna. Medan riktlinjerna beskrivs i koncisa och allmänna ordalag i Lpo 94 är de mera övergripande och detaljerade i PCN. Jag har även, genom digitala enkätintervjuer med lärarutbildare i Sverige och Brasilien, fått en begränsad inblick i lärarutbildningens insatser kring genusfrågeställningar relaterade till läroplanens jämställdhetsriktlinjer i respektive land. During the last few years the countries in the African continent have experienced an enormous increase in female politicians on a national level. Rwanda is even the country with the highest number of female politicians in its parliament in the world. Despite this development in Africa, the quantitative research on women's political representation in the world has not yet paid attention to the situation there. Some of the surveys that have been done have even excluded countries that do not fit the homogeneous pattern ? which is precisely the problem with African countries ? for it to be possible to explain the situation with existing theories.The intention of this paper is therefore to, with all of the 53 African countries included in the study, examine whether the already existing explanatory factors regarding women's political representation also can be applied to an African context to explain the situation there.
