This thesis aims to analyse a time series containing the annual accumulation rate of minerogenic matter in the lake Kassjo?n. First there is a theoretical survey of some frequently used tools for the analysis of time series in the time domain and in the frequency domain. This survey is followed by a simulation study that illustrates how the theoretical tools work in practice. After this, the time series "toolbox" is used to analyse the time series from Kassjo?n (5701 data points).

The report descripbs how a diplexer for a hybrid analog/digital filterbank has been constructed and tested. A diplexer divides the frequency band into two different bands that do not who doesn't overlapp each other. The sampling rate for the two ADC:s is 80 Msps, and therefore it is advantage to have zero at 80 MHz. The reason for this is that a proposed class of hybrid filterbanks with very good quality requires a zero at or close the sampling frequency to work well. The diplexer was made in three versions.

People live longer. There is a growing need to increase the knowledge of aging and of the need among the elderly for medical care in the near future. As a step towards meeting this need, a survey among the elderly in Skåne is made by the division of Geriatric Medicine in Malmö University Hospital. This survey is called Gott åldrande i Skåne, GÅS. A frequent decease among the elderly is Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI).

Denna uppsats undersöker, med metoden samtalsanalys, två samtal på engelska mellan infödda talare av engelska och svenskar med engelska som sitt första främmandespråk. Fokus ligger på form och funktion för fenomenet allo-repetition i dessa två samtal, d.v.s. repetition av vad någon annan har sagt tidigare.Inom samtalsforskning kring samtal på modersmålet har man funnit att repetitionen har många funktioner på såväl ett innehållsmässigt som ett socialt plan. Genom att använda sig av olika typer av repetitioner förhåller sig samtalaren till både ämnet och de andra samtalarna, samtidigt som koherens skapas. Också inom andraspråksforskningen har repetitionen som fenomen undersökts, och har där funnits anta vissa former beroende på om de används av inlärarna själva eller de mer språkligt kompetenta infödda talarna.

This paper replicates a test performed by Burgstahler and Dichev (1997), which identifies a kink in the frequency distribution of earnings for companies listed on American stock exchanges. Their claim, that the kink is evidence of earnings management, has however been dismissed as a methodical consequence. To address this concern, this paper not only replicates the test in general, but also performs tests on a split sample, where founding family-owned companies are separated from the others, since earlier research has shown that founding family ownership is correlated with less earnings management. The results are in line with the findings of Burgstahler and Dichev, with a significant kink in the frequency distribution in the general test. The findings also show that the significance of the kink increases in the non-family-owned sample, while it disappears in the family-owned sample.

Syftet med examensarbetet var att beskriva och analysera vilka likheter och skillnader som finns i arbetet med demokrati och politik i samhällskunskap på grundskolans senare del och gymnasiets samhällskunskap A vad gäller uppnåendemål, undervisning och bedömning. Studien genomfördes utifrån en kvalitativ metod där två lärare på grundskolan och två lärare på gymnasiet blev intervjuade. Resultatet visar att det finns flera likheter i planering, undervisningsmetoder, använt material och bedömning mellan grundskolan och gymnasiet i arbetet med demokrati och politik. Lärarna på grundskolan och gymnasiet har en liknande syn på vad eleven bör kunna för att uppnå målen. Studien visar dock att uppnåendemålen uttrycker att det ska råda en progression och en viss repetition av ämnesområdet på gymnasiet.
