This Bachelor thesis is a qualitative study of the public debate regarding the role of Public service in the media converged society today. The purpose of this thesis is to examine how the public debate, that is the Swedish Public service television and people with broad representative knowledge about Public service, motivates a change of the function of the Swedish Public service television.Our issues are: What does the public debate say about the function of Swedish Public  service television in our society today and how is a change motivated in this debate? How does the public debate look upon today´s media convergence and the fragmentation of the audience which, according to Denis McQuail, is a consequence of this?The method of this thesis is a qualitative analysis and we have analyzed ten opinion articles and Swedish Public service television magazine ?DittSvt?. The theoretical background was obtained from Henry Jenkins and Håkan Hvitfelts theories and thoughts about mediaconvergence. We have supplemented this with Denis McQuails theory regarding the fragmentation of the audience.In this thesis, we see that the public debate is a lot about diversity in Swedish Public service television programming and that the democratic base is still very important.

Syftet med studien var att beskriva distriktssköterskors upplevelse av sin yrkesroll och vad som ingår i uppdraget. Studien hade en beskrivande design och tio distriktssköterskor från tre olika hälsocentraler i Mellansverige deltog i studien. Data samlades in via strukturerade intervjuer och analyserades utifrån kvalitativ innehållsanalys. Resultatet som framkom under intervjuerna redovisas utifrån tre kategorier och ett tema: Att utvecklas i yrkesrollen och i teamarbetet trots avsaknaden av tydliga styrdokument om uppdraget. Kategorierna som framkom var: Yrkesroll, teamarbete och distriktssköterskans uppdrag.  Distriktssköterskorna upplevde sin yrkesroll som ett brett, fritt och ett varierande yrke med många möjligheter att utvecklas i.

Syftet med denna studie är att analysera hur SVT jobbar med och använder sig av förändringar i koncept och om detta i sin tur påverkar varumärket. Vi vill se till det unika i SVT:s situation i och med deras public serviceuppdrag och om detta påverkar arbetet med programmen. Vi ämnar studera detta genom två av SVT:s mest populära program, för att se om vi kan se dem som varumärken och vad som förändrats efter att framträdande attribut har bytts ut.Vi har i denna studie sett till vad ett varumärke är, vilka beståndsdelar ett varumärke har enligt Aaker (2002). Vi ser till hur förändringar av ett varumärke kan gå till utifrån Kapferers (2004) modell samt teoretikers ord om icke- kommersiella organisationers svårigheter.Empirin är hämtad från tre olika intervjuer, den första med varumärkesansvarig på SVT, den andra med På spårets producent och den tredje Så ska det låtas projektledare. Vi har även sett till den information SVT ger ut via sin hemsida och sina public servicerapporter.Vid förändringar ser vi att de båda programmen förändrar med en viss försiktighet och verkar för att behålla programmens kärna.

The purpous of this master?s thesis is to explore how the swedish public library evolved between 1890-1911, before the state implemented the library reform in 1912. The material used to cunduct the study concists mainly of texts published during the time frame of the thesis in the form of books, booklets and articles from Folkbiblioteksbladet, a journal dedicated to the subject of the swedish public library.Drawing upon Habermas theory of the structural transformation of the public sphere and Bourdieus theories about taste as social distinction and symbolic capital, the thesis seeks to show how the public participated in the evolvement of the public library and which aspects of society that contributed to the public library?s establishment as an institution. The findings are also discussed in relation to previous research of the history of the Swedish public library.

ÅDT-uppdraget tillhör Väg & Trafik, ett affärsområde inom Vägverket Konsult som i sin tur ägs av myndigheten Vägverket. Uppdraget innebär trafikmätning på de statliga vägarna, resultatet benämns ÅrsmedelDygnsTrafik (ÅDT). Kund och beställare är Vägverkets respektive regionkontor.Idag har problem börjat uppmärksammas som drabbar medarbetarna och verksamheten i ÅDT-uppdraget. Det finns antydningar till missnöje kring hur uppdraget drivs samt oro för framtiden och en eventuell konkurrensutsättning. Uppdragets status har sjunkit både intern och externt.Syftet med denna studie är att visa hur ÅDT-uppdragets faktiska organisationsstruktur ser ut och vilka effekter den har på medarbetarna och verksamheten.

The purpose of this thesis is to examine how social procurement can be a further development of public-private partnership. This is done with interviews and a case study of the social procurement Mitt Gröna Kvarter and its labor effort Boendebyggarna. The theoretical framework used in the thesis consists of public-private partnership and corporate social responsibility. It tries to answer the following questions:What does this social procurement mean by the concept of public-private partnership?What does this social procurement mean for the participants involved?How can social procurement be seen as a further development of public-private partnership?The thesis uses the theory development around the concepts of public-private partnership and corporate social responsibility and shows that social procurement does indeed have similarities to public-private partnership and could very well be a further development of it..

Examensarbetet för mina studier till yrkeslärare vid Linneuniversitetet beskriver hur lärare upplever sitt mentorskap i sin skolvardag. Jag har genomfört en enkätundersökning bland mentorer på barn- och fritidsprogrammet i regionen Gymnasium Skaraborg.Undersökningen visar att merparten av mentorerna trivs med sitt uppdrag och att de inser betydelsen av mentorskap på gymnasieskolan. Mentorerna upplever att uppdraget tar mycket tid i anspråk och att de inte fått den kompetensutveckling som uppdraget kräver. De upplever även ett dåligt stöd skolledningen. Min slutsats är att om upplevelsen av trivsel hos läraren inför mentorsuppdraget inom gymnasieskolan skall bli bättre, krävs rätt förutsättningar.

With this master thesis we wanted to find out in which way the concept of public service is connected to different perspectives, ideals, visions of the future and forms of organizations. The purpose with our thesis was to do an analysis of different concepts regarding to public service. To the analysis of concepts we used Swedish newspapers and analysed the issue of public service that had been discussed in articles written during the last five years. From this material and other papers about public service we developed a model of public service ideals. We wanted to find out what the different perspectives thought about the Swedish television and their commission.

The aim of this Master?s thesis is to examine the professional discourses that can be identified in the public library field. My main focus is to look at the professional views on the added value of public library. Questions posed in this study are: how does the professional language look when it comes of speaking and reasoning about the public librarys added value and function, which discourses can be identified in the professional language about the public library, what could the discourses entail for the future of public library? The empirical data consist of four interviews where the respondents have been constituted by public librarians.

The main purpose of the culture is to serve people and represent the people's social will and freedom. Culture does not exist in a vacuum but shaped and framed by political and artistic structures that are not neutral, and this is why the artwork itself cannot be an independent business. The public function of art can be understood as a defense of the ideals of democracy. But today, when political power is often replaced by hegemony, the role of art and functions are changing. How these changes reflect to the identity, reality and truth of society? What political functions are fulfilled when art becomes ?public?? The issue of democracy is linked question of people?s power in a democratic society where power is legitimized in social space.

This paper deals with the use of Internet at Swedish public libraries. The author asks whether public libraries should or should not limit access to information available on the Internet. Starting from the American discussion, concerning Internet at public libraries, the author shows the Swedish attitudes. The paper demonstrates that many Swedish public libraries have adopted rules forbidding retrieval of certain kinds of information, such as hard-core pornography and racist propaganda. The persons in charge of such actions claim that public libraries should provide high-quality educational literature and should not spread mass-produced, provocative information.

Det politiska uppdraget för Public Service Broadcasting (PSB) i Finland är att bedriva programverksamhet som erbjuder ett mångsidigt utbud av fakta, åsikter och diskussion samt utveckla inhemsk konst, kultur och stimulerande underhållning. Yle ska behandla den finskspråkiga och den svenskspråkiga befolkningen på lika grunder. Under många år samsände Yles svenska och finska verksamhet. Först 2001 fick de svenskspråkiga programmen en egen kanal, FST5 och från den 1 september 2011 delar Sveriges Televisions utlandskanal SVT World kanalplats med FST5. Uppsatsens syfte är att undersöka hur det svenskspråkiga programutbudet i Yle utvecklats mellan 1986 och 2011 med utgångspunkt från public serviceuppdraget.

Uppsatsens syfte är att utifrån ett New Public Management-perspektiv undersöka i vilken utsträckning visionsstyrningsmodellen i Halmstads kommun följer New Public Management och utifrån det undersöka vad det resulterat i. Uppsatsen grundar sig i en intervjumetod där ledande politiker och tjänstemän från kommunen intervjuats. Den teoretiska ansatsen utgörs av en New Public Management?teori grundad på olika dimensioner av New Public Management. Uppsatsens huvudsakliga empiriska material kommer från de intervjuer som genomförts.

Avsikten med föreliggande studie har varit att ta reda på förskollärares syn på det pedagogiska uppdraget utifrån läroplanens revidering och förskolläraryrkets professionaliseringsprocess. Utifrån de utvärderingar som gjorts av förskolans läroplan har den fått utökade mål framförallt i matematik, naturvetenskap och teknik och förskollärarna har dessutom fått det pedagogiska ansvaret för att arbeta mot de mål som strävas efter i läroplanen. Som bakgrund till studien beskriver jag hur förskollärarnas pedagogiska uppdrag vuxit fram genom tiden. Jag har i min studie inspirerats av en fenomenografisk metod och har genom intervjuer med sex förskollärare vilka arbetar i förskolan, undersökt deras svar på synen av det pedagogiska uppdraget utifrån den reviderade läroplanen och den begynnande professinaliseringen av yrket. Som teoriutgångspunkt har jag använt mig de kriterier som anses professinaliserande för ett yrke.
