The main purpose of this Bachelor´s thesis is to investigate the visions chief librarians have for their public libraries. The world around us and our way of living is changing as the society is changing ever more rapidly. This evolvement also influences the public library, its role for society and individuals, its activities and its design. The question is how the public library can face these changes and what function and role it can get and make for itself in the future. Through qualitative interviews with five chief librarians our aim is to answer the main question of this thesis: What are the visions that chief librarians on public libraries have for the public library´s future? This study also contain the role the chief librarians give the public library of today and what they mean is necessary for their visions to be achieved.

This project is a contribution in the debate of sustainable city planning. The conceptual ideas in this project can be used on many places and are here applyed on the center of Nacka, outside of Stockholm. The essay is based on an entry in the competition Europan 9, advertised by Europan in collaboration with the municipality of Nacka. The theme of the competition is ?sustainable city and public space?. The discussion of the sustainable city is a very wide subject which needs to be narrowed to suite the context of Nacka.

Ett besök i primärvården är oftast den första kontakten med sjukvården för de flesta patienter. Hur patienten blir bemött av sjuksköterskan präglar vårdrelationen. Rätt bemötande leder ofta till ökat förtroende för sjuksköterskan och gagnar den fortsatta vården. Syftet med studien var att beskriva patienternas förväntningar på och upplevelser av mötet med sjuksköterskan i samband med besök i primärvården. Litteraturstudien genomfördes med kvalitativa och kvantitativa studier.

Today, many discussions are taking place through different platforms concerning the huge problem of ill health within modern society. Ill health tends to affect both children and adults. For the adult sector ill health may lead to doctor?s notification of illness in the short term and on the long term permanent disability benefit. In the mass media there are often articles published that point out the rising number of people with sick pay and people being given permanent disability benefit.

In the expansion rate of the national as well as the international market, the importance of trademark has been given a central matter. The definition of what can be considered a trademark has been widened. Today?s trademark law defines a trademark as something that can be graphically reproduced. Trademarks can there for contain names, words, numbers, letters or the shape of the goods itself or the packaging.

This is a comparative case study with four ideal types.

Studiens syfte: Har varit att beskriva upplevelser av möten med vårdpersonal hos patienter med anorexia. Studien är en litteraturstudie som är baserad på tre självbiografiska böcker. Bakgrund: Anorexia är en vanlig förekommande sjukdom där flickor drabbas oftare än pojkar. Lidande och välbefinnande är två vanliga inslag i sjukdomen. Mötet och bemötandet mellan vårdpersonal och patient är viktigt då ett misstag från personalen kan leda till stor skada.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between Health Locus of Control, Exercise habits, Food habits and Self-esteem (Personal self and Physical self) between two groups of student teachers at a university in the south of Sweden. Is health such as exercise, eating and self-esteem something that is controlled by internal or external factors? Student teachers that participated in Physical and Health programme and student teachers that participeted in other programme were investigeted. The participants (N = 160) answered the questionnaire. The Health Locus of Control scale and Tennessee Self-Concept Scale were used.

This study?s aim was to explore how the social media Twitter is used by Swedish political leaders and how they manage the relationship between having both private and public conversations in a new public sphere, the social sphere. In Sweden, studies in this area are yet to grow. We achieved our aim by responding to our three questions at the issue: What kind of content is published in each of the politicians Twitter stream? Are the politicians private or public persons on Twitter? Are the politicians using Twitters interactive functions? We conducted our analysis by performing a quantitative content analysis.

Röda Korset i Karlskrona bedriver besöksverksamheten i Karlskrona, med syftet att lindra äldres ensamhet med hjälp av frivilliga besökare. Efter förfrågan från Röda Korset fick författarna möjlighet att göra en utvärdering av deras besöksverksamhet. Syftet med denna studie var att utifrån den frivillige besökarens perspektiv, utvärdera värdet av besöken för den frivillige besökaren i Röda Korsets besöksverksamhet, i Karlskrona kommuns särskilda boende. För att få svar på frågan utifrån besökarens perspektiv gjorde författarna intervjuer med hjälp av semistrukturerade frågor. Det som framkom visade att besökarna kände sig behövda.

Bakgrund: Reumatoid artrit är en ledsjukdom som ca 60 000 personer i Sverige är drabbade av. Sjukdomen har påverkan på det dagliga livet, detta leder också till en känslomässig påverkan för personerna med sjukdomen. Syfte: Syftet med studien var att beskriva hur personer i medelåldern med sjukdomen reumtoid artrit upplever det dagliga livet. Metod: En litteraturstudie med kvalitativ ansats. Artiklarna som användes granskades utifrån Graneheim och Lundmans tolkade innehållsanalys.

Specialiteten intensivvård utvecklades på 1950-talet, ända sedan dess har det varit känt att vissa av patinterna utvecklar akut förvirring eller psykiska störningar som senare kom att benämnas IVA syndromet. IVA syndromet orsakas av en process som startar vid insjuknandet/olyckan och beror på ett samspel mellan en psykologisk process, kemisk påverkan och den miljöstress som uppkommer av intensivvårdsmiljön som patienten vårdas i. IVA Syndromet orsakar ökad morbiditet och mortalitet. Syftet med arbetet är att beskriva omvårdnadsproblem och vilka åtgärder sjuksköterskan kan vidta för att förebygga utvecklandet av IVA syndromet. Undersökningen har utförts som en litteraturstudie.

The purpose of this study is to examine the phenomenon ?Living library?, where people are lent out instead of books. First it is looked into what the Living library means to the person who is borrowing a living book and what it means to the living book itself. Than the Living library is put in a public library context. This is done through a case study of the city library of Helsingborg and the city library of Malmö.
