Our purpose with this study was to look at the connection between social capital and integration. Particularly if meetings between people from different cultures can increase social capital and in that way affect integration. We start by identifying the social integration perspective we are going to use through out the study and then we introduce social capital theory as a way of narrowing down the field even more. The study was done through six semi structured interviews. We interviewed three women that was established in the Swedish society and three women that had immigration background.

 I denna uppsats redogörs för hur och i vilket syfte svenska arbetsterapeuter inom psykiatrisk vård använder kreativa aktiviteter.  Kreativa aktiviteter som behandlingsmetod inom arbetsterapi har bevisat positiv effekt på individens hälsa. Inom psykiatrisk vård hjälper kreativa aktiviteter personer med psykisk ohälsa att hitta vägen tillbacka till ett tillfredställande liv. Dock saknas det tillräckligt med data hur svenska arbetsterapeuter använder kreativa aktiviteter som behandling. Metoden som valdes för denna studie har kvalitativ ansats: kvalitativa semistrukturerade intervjuer för datainsamlingen och kvalitativ innehållsanalys för analysen av insamlade materialet.

The purpose is to examine social workers view of vulnerable children and their needs. We are also interested to know how social workers think and discuss concerning the help these children are given. Our main questions in our study are; How do social workers define vulnerable children? Which needs do vulnerable children have according to social workers? Which opportunities and difficulties might there be in the decision making when trying to help these children? Which public authorities do social workers cooperate with? Which opportunities and difficulties do social workers find in the cooperation?This study is based upon interviews with ten social workers in the social childcare division in different municipalities in Skåne region, Sweden. Our results are explained and analyzed with a qualitative approach through different aspects of power- and Human Service Organization theories.

Social media has become an important marketing and communication tool worldwide, mostly through the largest social platforms Facebook and Twitter. With two-way communication via Internet companies has gotten the opportunity to interact and communicate directly with their customers. Facebook has been the focus point through the study because it has shown to be the most efficient and frequently used platform for communication. Our study aimed to confirm how communication via social media actually looks like. To be able to reach the best results, we have conducted the study from a phenomenological approach, which means; usage of qualitative semi-structured interviews to reflect the respondents experience on the phenomenon social media as a communication tool. Social media has shown to be a great way of communicating externally for companies who are willing to spend time engaging in the platform.

Sedan 1980- talet har det psykiska välbefinnandet bland befolkningen försämrats. Socialstyrelsen började göra mätningar av folkhälsan i Sverige i slutet av 1980- talet och sedan dess har ängslan, oro och ångest ökat bland ungdomar i åldrarna 16-24 år. Även bland äldre har rapporter visat att psykisk ohälsa ökat. Anhöriga till psykiskt sjuka får bära en tung börda och har en viktig roll i förbättringen av den psykiskt sjuka personens liv. Syftet med studien var att belysa anhörigas känslor och upplevelser.

I denna uppsats har jag genom den diskursanalytiska metoden sökt att undersöka hur gränsen mellan psykiskt normala och psykisk efterblivenhet barn på 1930-talet upprättades genom diskursen som fördes i en av statens offentliga utredningar om särskild undervisning. Undersökningen har visat att det efterblivna barnet var föremål för en makt och kontrollutövande verksamhet som genom differentierad undervisning skulle befria den vanliga skolan från den belastning som de efterblivna ansågs att vara. Vidare har undersökningen visat att denna differentiering och polarisering inte enbart grundades på pedagogiska aspekter utan också var en profylaktisk åtgärd. Efterblivenhet var något som stod i nära anslutning till asocialitet och kriminalitet, därför sökte ecklesiastikdepartement genom en kontrollerad undervisning också att omvårda och uppfostra dessa individer på ett sätt som inte föräldrarna ansågs vara kapabla till. Den särskilda undervisningen var både ett sätt att kontrollera barnen men också en möjlighet att avstyra vad som senare kunde utvecklas till att bli en samhällsfara.

Social enterprises make up one of the groups of participants that provide welfare services financed by public funding. The object of this study is to describe and analyze from a theoretical point of view which conditions, in what fields, by which division of responsibility and finally through what decisions these social enterprises are allocated a place in the market for social welfare services. The company that has been the object of study offers services in the field of social welfare and in employment. In the study a triangulation of qualitative methods has been used: studies of literature on the subject, recurrent interviews and observations and also reviews of documents. The results have been analyzed from theories on the space available on the market for social services, on social economy and on social capital in the form of strong, weak and bridging bonds.

The purpose of this essay is to explore the social services work with crime victims in Sweden, according to Chapter 5, § 11 of the Social Services Act. The study examined how social workers define the victim and assessing and prioritizing victims' needs. It has also been central to study how social workers interpret and understand the regulation of social services responsible for crime victims.Qualitative interviews with 18 social workers is the basis for the study. The analysis of the social services work with victims based in the above-mentioned interviews. The interviews analyzed using the sociology of law theory.

This study explores how online television works and how it is integrated with social media such as Facebook, Twitter and blogs. Through three qualitative interviews with representants from different fields of work regarding online television, we have concluded how online television is being used in Sweden today and concludes with examples of what the future of online television could look like. Representatives from the following companies have been interviewed: SBS Media Group Sweden, Strix Television and Mediamätning i Skandinavien. The use of social media for marketing of online television is a fact for the companies in this study. However, the result of the study shows that theres room for development in the integration between online television and social media.

The implementation of this research increases the awareness of the value for luxury fashion brands in utilizing social media as a communication channel to reach young consumers globally. It provides a general understanding of young consumers? perception of luxury fashion brands on social media in regards to geographic cultural background, attitude towards new luxury, and preferred way of contacts..

De äldre i den svenska befolkningen blir allt fler och allt äldre. Forskning kring äldres hälsa och de faktorer som tros påverkar denna blir därför allt viktigare. En av de faktorer som tros påverka hälsan positivt, även i äldre åldrar, är sociala relationer. En djupare förståelse kring sambandet mellan olika typer av sociala relationer och olika aspekter av hälsa skulle göra det möjligt att lättare identifiera de grupper som riskerar att drabbas negativt hälsomässigt till följd av den sociala situationen, vilket i sin tur kommer att möjliggöra effektivare hälsofrämjande och sjukdomsförebyggande insatser. Syftet med den här studien är att studera hur sambandet mellan olika typer av sociala relationer och utvalda aspekter av hälsa ser ut hos de allra äldsta i den svenska befolkningen.

The purpose of this study is to investigate how social media can affect and influence the B2B-relationship. Social media is now a widespread and accepted tool for communication in many B2C-companies; therefore we find it interesting to examine how social media can find its place in the communication mix of B2B-companies. We are also aiming to distinguish standards in how social media is practiced and discussed in the context of the B2B-market. We have applied a qualitative method for this study and we have interviewed seven respondents, which are experts in social media or working with market communication at B2B-companies in Sweden. During our study we have identified several comparable attributes within the B2B market and their opinions about how social media should be approach and adopt in the communication mix of the company..

The aim of this essay was to study if social workers have a gender awareness in the social work they perform and if it appears in the assessment of needs and intervention. A qualitative vignette study with four social workers who handle adult- and addictive clients have been performed. Gender theory is used to interpret the empirical results. The results of the study show that social workers doesn´t see any differences in the clients situation, or make any different assessment of needs depending on if the client is a man or a woman. Social workers also propose the same interventions to men and women.

Verksamheten Spindeln i Västerås vänder sig till personer med så kallad dubbeldiagnos, människor med psykisk sjukdom och samtida missbruksproblematik. Syfte med denna studie var att söka kunskap om vad klienterna med så kallad dubbeldiagnos på verksamheten Spindeln upplevde som meningsfull sysselsättning, samt om verksamheten Spindeln bidrog till att klienterna upplevde sig inneha någon form av meningsfull sysselsättning. Empirin insamlades genom kvalitativa semistrukturerade intervjuer med fem klienter från Spindeln. De teorier som behandlades var känslan av sammanhang (KASAM), stigma samt socialt kapital. Dessa teorier användes till att tolka empirin tillsammans med tidigare forskning inom området psykisk sjukdom och meningsfull sysselsättning.

En av förskolans viktigaste uppgifter är att hjälpa de barn som har problem i sin interaktion med övriga barn. Syftet med denna studie är att ta reda på hur pedagoger bemöter de barn som har svårt att socialisera och integrera i leken, hur viktig den sociala leken är samt hur miljön på förskolan påverkar barnens förutsättningar för samlek. Resultatet visar att leken spelar en central del i den dagliga verksamheten på förskolan. I leken lär barnen, har startar det livslånga lärandet. I leken tränar barnen upp sin sociala kompetens och de får på olika sätt bearbeta det som de upplever i sin vardag.
