This graduate work is about didactic issues related to the preschool environment. The study aims to contribute to a deeper understanding of how the preschool teachers can plan and design the indoor environment to promote children's development and learning. We will also examine how the work of the preschool indoor environment relates to the kindergarten curriculum. This will be examined through qualitative interviews with teachers at a preschool in Botkyrka municipality. The thesis is based on an inductive study method so the theoretical approach has been chosen by the informants' responses.

Det individualistiska samhället kännetecknas av ett ökat ansvar för individen att utforma sitt liv och sin framtid. Prestation och perfektion är intressanta fenomen direkt relaterade till valmöjlighet. Kan dessa fenomen till och med uppfattas som ideal i det individualistiska samhället? Syftet med studien har varit att undersöka hur det mänskliga beteendet förhåller sig till de samhälliga idealen som markerar perfektion och som utmanar individen att göra sitt yttersta. Studien är explorativ och använder sig av en enkät som undersökningsmetod.

The aim of this paper is to examine the psychosocial work environment and safety culture in minor Swedish airports. The purpose is also to investigate the relationships between these two. The paper deals with theories regarding psychosocial work environment, organizational culture and safety as well as safety culture and safety climate. The participants are air traffic controllers working in minor airports in Sweden. The psychosocial work environment was measured with Copenhagen psychosocial questionnaire (COPSOQ) and the safety culture with the safety culture assessment questionnaire (SCAQ).

Fördomar vid rekrytering utgör ett stort problem för utlandsfödda personer i Sverige (Bromé m fl, 1996; Integrationsverket, 2006). För att undersöka namnets (utländskt vs. svenskt) betydelse för hur en arbetssökande (kompetent vs. inkompetent) uppfattas fick 116 studenter bedöma fiktiva CV:n. Hälften av försökspersonerna gjorde sina skattningar under omständigheter där jämställdhet betonades och hälften utan detta.Det fanns en signifikant interaktionseffekt mellan sökandens etnicitet och kompetensnivå på hur varm denne uppfattades (p=.002).

Ur ett chefsperspektiv har studien haft för syfte att undersöka attityden gentemot motivation i ett arbete med medarbetarna, och det som har avsetts att undersöka är den attityd gentemot upplevelsen av behovet som existerar hos chefer. Utifrån ett definierat chefs- kontra ledarskap har teorier rörande Maslows och Hertzbergs motivations- respektive hygienfaktorer rörande tillfredställelse och otillfredställelse på arbetet, människosyn, och hänsyn till olika personligheter hos medarbetarna som noteras hos dessa chefer undersökts. Dessa teorier har legat till grund för studiens syfte, som varit att söka se likheter/olikheter i chefers attityd via en enkätundersökning med varierat slutna, öppna och skalfrågor. Resultat har visat på minimala skillnader olika chefsgrupper i mellan, och visar istället på att attityden till motivation snarare ligger i personlig upplevelse än i chefsrollen och dess funktion. Detta resultat har bringat en större kunskap och insikt inom detta område gällande chefskap och ger på så sätt en ny utgångspunkt och ett gott underlag för fortsatta studier i ämnet..

The aim of this study was to investigate the individual meaning of experiences of migration and day-to day life experiences before and after migration, of women that had migrated from the Middle-east area to Sweden. This was to be done with a psychological health perspective looking for stressors and salutogenic factors. A phenomenological approach was used. Eleven women where interviewed with three open questions on a trajectory theme. The analysis was supported by software Sphinx Lexica and software MCA-Minerva.

This essay investigates how the author Oline Stig creates identities for her main characters in three short stories; Midsommar, Polly Maggoo and Den längsta dagen from the collection Den andra himlen (2007).My investigation is based on concepts chosen from Psychology and narratology: First, Jonas Stier?s definition of human identity. In his definition he focuses on a person?s social context. He also considers identity formation as an ongoing, ever- changing process.

The aim of this study is to examine whether the image of the stereotype librarian has created conflict in young librarians´ personal identity and/or professional identity and if this has shown in their choice of clothes? Our purpose was to find out, with the help of their choice of clothes, the young librarians view of themselves as individuals and professional librarians. We have searched for the answers to the following questions: - Do young librarians experience that clothing at their workplace has any significance and if so, what do they want to signal with their clothing? - Do they experience that clothing and appearance has any impact on their personal and professional identity? - How do they relate, by their choice of clothes, to the stereotype images of the librarian? We have performed qualitative interviews with eleven young female librarians. As a theoretical framework we have used ideas and concepts from different areas of research; semiotics, social Psychology, business administration and ethnology.

The aim of this thesis is to use the bibliometric method author cocitation analysis (ACA) and investigate the cognitive structure in a research field, which is called the intellectual base. The research field in this investigation is social Psychology. The main question is: what is the nature of the cognitive structure, which contains of the intellectual base. This question is divided in two sub questions: ? Which are the most prominent authors in the research field? ? Which sub areas, based on groups of the most cocited authors in the research field, can be identified?An investigation with ACA is used to describe the general experience of consensus of later authors in a research field.

Lokal politik har en viktig roll i samhället och dess faktakonstruktion kan ha en påverkan på individen. Lokalpolitikern konstruerar i sina anföranden beskrivningar av verkligheten som görs trovärdiga genom retoriskt arbete. Arbetet använder en diskurspsykologisk metod för att undersöka kommunpolitikers anförande i debatten rörande kommunens styrdokument, Inriktning, verksamhet och ekonomi (förkortat IVE) för åren 2015 till 2018. Studien kommer fram till att problem och lösningar görs till fakta genom användandet av offensiv och defensiv retorik. I konstruerandet av problemet finns också ett konstruerande av en politisk motståndare som föranlett problemet.

Hörselskadade barns kommunikationsstrategier är icke ett outforskat område dock är det inte mycket forskat på hörselskadade barns interaktioner sinsemellan. Denna studies intention har varit att undersöka relationen mellan de strategier som specialpedagogerna och barnskötarna på en enhet för barn med hörselnedsättning använder/ger till barnen och de kommunikativa strategier som barnen använder sinsemellan och/eller till de vuxna. Studien har använt sig av strukturerad observation vilket inneburit att ett observationsschema har fastställt utifrån vilket observationerna registrerats. Antalet deltagare i studien har varit nio barn i åldern 36-84 månader samt tre specialpedagoger och två barnskötare. Antalet studerade interaktioner har varit 144 och det genomsnittliga antalet interaktioner per barn har varit 16.

The aim of this undergraduate thesis was to explore how the welfare officers at palliative units in Stockholm respond to the patients? thoughts and experiences during the last phase of life, as well as exploring their picture of the patients experiences. The research questions of the study were:? How do the welfare officers relate to the patients? experience of their death? ? In what way do the welfare officers respond to the dying patient and his or her experiences?? What knowledge/experience do the welfare officers have and what knowledge/experience do they consider is needed in their profession?To answer the research questions a qualitative method was used where five welfare officers in three different palliative units were interviewed. The empirical material was analysed through meaning concentration and are presented using exact quotations.

The purpose of this thesis is to examine the relationship between librarians and library support staff in public libraries regarding status, distribution of work and working climate. We were interested to know if there is a conflict between the two occupational groups and how it can be explained. We also wanted to learn what the future holds for the library in terms of professional categories and tasks according to library staff of today. This study is based on twelve qualitative interviews with four heads of libraries, four librarians and four library assistants. Three theoretical approaches were used in the analysis of the interview material: professionalization strategies, conflict theories and theories from group Psychology.

Abstract. Studiens syfte var att undersöka om människan är formad med det Karismatiska ledarskapet redan från tidig ålder. Då egenskaper är svåra att studera, som också litteraturen beskriver, så valdes mönster som är karateristiska för det karismatiska ledarskapet ut, som exempelvis; stark utstrålning, stor kommunikations förmåga, en ledare för gruppen. Dessa mönster valdes att studeras genom observation av en klass där barnen var i sju års ålder. Av datainsamlingen gjordes an analys och tolkning och av detta framkom ett resultat som i sig visade på att det fanns mönster och beteenden karakteristiska för karismatiskt ledarskap hos vissa av barnen. Barnen hade olika mycket av mönsterna men det visade sig ändock tydligt vilka som var av det karismatiska ledarskapet och som kamraterna lät sig ledas av.

Based upon theories founded on social constructionism, and criticism raised against these theories, this study aims to present a more complex perspective on non-heterosexuality from what has earlier been presented in Swedish lesbian, gay, bisexuality and transsexuality research. Fourteen semi-structured interviews with non-heterosexual women were analyzed using a discourse analytic approach. Four discourses about sexuality were described: "definition, preferably as either-or (heterosexual or homo-sexual)", "normality", "sexuality as constant and unchangeable", "sexuality as homogenous". Different ways of relating to and challenging the positions offered through these discourses were discussed. In conclusion, the study discussed which implications these findings have for psychologists working with non-heterosexual women, and how discursive positioning can be understood from within a psychological framework..
