Många av dagens dator och TV-spelsljud är anpassade för högtalaruppspelning, i många fall även flerkanalssystem som 5.1 surround och liknande. Få spel är anpassade för uppspelning genom hörlurar och för att få en bra ljudlokalisering i hörlurar behövs ofta någon form av surroundhörlurar. Vi tror att man kan skapa trovärdig (Riktnings)återgivning av ljud i hörlurar genom bara två ljudkanaler genom så kallat binauralt ljud. Vi kommer i detta arbete att beskriva de faktorer som spelar roll i vår stereohörsel, varför de fungerar samt vilka svagheter som finns i detta system. Vi kommer att skapa ett system för att behandla realtidsgenererat binauralt ljud för spel och beskriva de verktyg vi valt och den generella arbetsprocessen.

Syftet med studien var att studera om attraktiviteten hos en person kan påverka graden av hur moraliskt förkastlig en handling som utförs av personen bedöms vara och huruvida det föreligger någon könsskillnad. Med ett experiment undersöktes 151 studenter på ett medelstort universitet i södra Sverige. Deltagarna tilldelades ett fiktivt moraliskt scenario med ett bifogat foto av antingen en oattraktiv eller en attraktiv person. En kontrollgrupp blev tilldelade samma scenario men utan något foto. Därefter fick deltagarna svara på hur moraliskt förkastlig de upplevde handlingen som beskrevs i scenariot och hur attraktiv de upplevde personen på fotot vara.

This essay contains two stories that reflect the reality I face as an educator, as well as a reflective discussion about my self-perceived dilemma. The dilemma reflects a classroom situation where I as an educator have trouble dividing my focus, my focus is either put on entire the class or on the child with special needs. Through this self-perceived situation I have started to question how children with special needs find their place in the school today. I discuss how I can handle and look at the unique situation that occurs when meeting this child.Terms like integration, inclusion, segregation, social rights and the expression "a school for everyone" will be discussed in this text, as well as how we can connect these terms and expressions to the problems I find in the school system?s way of handling children with special needs.I also highlight my dilemma from different ethical perspective.

GUSP är till skillnad från EU:s övriga arbete med regleringar, omfördelning och ekonomisk stabilisering ett försök att så långt som möjligt, sammanlänka de suveräna medlemsstaternas utrikespolitik. Målet är att ge EU en politisk tyngd som kan matcha den ekonomiska storleken och befolkningsmängden som kryper allt närmare halvmiljardsgränsen. Syftet med denna uppsats är att analysera i vilken utsträckning olika teorier inom internationella relationer den gemensamma utrikes- och säkerhetspolitiken inom EU lämpligast förklaras utifrån. Frågan som uppsatsen söker svar på är: i vilken utsträckning överensstämmer de teorier vi presenterat med hur GUSP är tänkt att fungera? Vi använde realism, neorealism och neoliberalism för att göra detta. Ur fördragen som skapat GUSP har vi identifierat det viktiga ur säkerhets- och utrikespolitisk synvinkel vilket sedan undersökts mot bakgrund av teorierna. Ingen av teorierna kan förklara GUSP fullt ut men delar av teorierna passar in på alla undersökta fördrag.

The starting point for this master thesis was the product of the company "Humlegården", which allows its tenants in office buildings to follow their electricity consumption in real time, through their Smartphone's. The idea that resulted from that application is to investigate if it is possible to direct the tenants in office buildings to reduce their energy consumptions, but also to be satisfied with the indoor environment. This work addresses the factors which are the main energy consumers in office buildings. It addresses legal requirements and standards which are important to follow in order to achieve good thermal comfort in buildings. Some of them are physical climate factors like thermal environment, air quality and lightning.

The purpose of this thesis is to examine if and how bibliotherapy can be part of ordinary work in Swedish libraries. Questions: what is bibliotherapy and who can work with it? What are the conditions required? What does it mean to people taking part and to libraries? In this study bibliotherapy is delimited to fiction and activities including discussions, excluded are self-help books and the individuals private reading. The study is based on four qualitative interviews with librarian and bibliotherapists in Kirklees, England, partaking in nine bibliotherapeutic sessions and a literary survey, together forming a case-study. Conclusions: There is not a single answer to the question what bibliotherapy is, but if one puts stress on the biblio- part of the word, seeing reading as a normal activity it can be part of library work, whereas the therapy- part should be dealt with by professionals outside libraries.

Alternative splicing is a process that partly rejects the common definition of a gene ? that one gene codes for one specific protein. By variable combination of coding regions (exons) and exclusion of non-coding regions (introns), formation of several different mRNA-transcripts, and consequently several different proteins, can derive from the same gene. Alternative splicing is an important condition for the development of complex life forms, but it is also a highly sensitive process and inaccurate splicing is the cause of approximately 15 % of mutations that cause genetic diseases. This article presents four genes, BRCA1, BRCA2, ER? and ER?, and inaccurate splicing of these genes increases the risk of developing cancer, particularly breast cancer and ovarian cancer.

I denna uppsats undersöks den kritiska realismen som vetenskapsteori för samhällsvetenskaperna. Tillvägagångssättet är en immanent kritik, där den kritiska realismen följs genom dess grundläggande argument, för att sedan vända dess egen begreppsapparat mot sig själv för att visa på spänningar och motsägelser i teorin. Särskild uppmärksamhet kommer genomgående att riktas mot den nära relationen till marxismen, samt synen på abstraktioner som ett centralt samhällsvetenskapligt verktyg. Undersökningen tar sin utgångspunkt i argumenten för en realistisk vetenskapsteori utifrån det naturvetenskapliga experimentet som oomstritt faktum, och upplyftandet av ontologin framför epistemologin. Den kritiska realismens ontologiska modell presenteras, liksom dess kritik av empirismen och idealismen.

Den ökande stressen bland hälso-och sjukvårdspersonal uppmärksammas tid efter annan i olika medier. Omstruktureringar och upplevda neddragningar i vården har lett till högre arbetsbelastning, vilket i sin tur påverkat arbetsförhållandena och det psykiska välbefinnandet hos personalen i negativ riktning. Omvårdnaden skall ges i en anda av respekt och förståelse för den enskildes integritet, och den som är i störst behov av omvårdnad skall prioriteras. Syftet var att beskriva förekomstoch upplevelserav samvetsstress bland sjuksköterskor verksamma på kirurgiska vårdavdelningar på ett sjukhus i Sverige, med hjälp av instrumentet Stress of Conscience Questionnaire (SCQ). Studien,där 60 enkäter analyserades (svarsfrekvens 64,5 %),visadeatt sjuksköterskornaofta upplevdesamvetsstress i relation till sitt arbete.

Abstract The main subject of this essay is conflicts at work and the effect it has on the employee´s health.  I can through various reports read that bad health at workplaces is too high and that conflicts are a reason. What can be done to the work environment so it will be better from a psychosocial perspective? Sweden has a regulation that makes the employer responsible to work for an improvement in the work environment; can these regulations be used in purpose to reduce conflicts?My first question concerns the possibility to establish preventive procedures in the workplace systematic work regarding to improve the work environment. My second question is about the obligations of the employer to attempt to reduce conflicts at the workplace and the third question regards the documenting and monitoring of conflicts and the preventing work to reduce them. The purpose of this essay is to clarify how conflict preventive work can be included in the Systematic work environment management.

The purpose of this paper is to find the true meaning to the Swedish word "sinnesträdgård" as a fenonomen. This paper concentrates on the Swedish use of the word, because the term has different definitions in other countries. Our choice was a phenomenological method after reading literature on, and in relevance with, the subject without finding an answer to the question. According to our six informants - a politician, a project manager, two landscape architects and scientists, and two occupational therapists, the concept has not yet been defined. The results show that a "sinnesträdgård" is complex and means several things, but the main purpose of the concept and place is to stimulate all senses. We have discussed how to distinguish the concepts "sinnesträdgård", design garden and health garden, from each other as they all stimulate the senses.

Should I/we move abroad or not? This is a question that surely many of today?s expatriate Swedes asked themselves and was probably largely debated by most. How does is feel to move back to Sweden? I have chosen to contact a number of expatriate Swedes and some that have returned, in order to receive answers to these questions.The aim with this thesis is to study the experiences and thoughts of people living in a different country as to were they were born and also those of people returning to Sweden. I have used a hermeneutic analytical method alongside a socio-psychological identity perspective when I studied the replies of my 69 respondents.

Syftet med denna kvalitativa fallstudie är att undersöka vad yrkeslärare grundar sin bedömning och betygssättning på i yrkesämnet, hur de väljer att dokumentera denna och även hur relevanta Skolverkets styrdokument är för dem i det arbetet. Studien har undersökt vad 5 stycken olika yrkeslärare på en gymnasieskola upplever att de går efter vid densamma via en strukturerad intervju enligt de etiska principer som gäller. Fallstudien visar att det läggs stor vikt vid processen och att yrkeslärarna inte bara ser slutresultatet som avgörande vid betygssättningen. De kriterier som yrkeslärarna går efter påminner mycket om det som krävs ute i arbetslivet, det vill säga självständighet, problemlösningsbenägenhet och talang. Nämnas kan att talang inte finns med som ett kriterium i skolverkets läroplan.

AbstractIn this study eight caregivers, all with long experience from working in nursing homes for people with dementia, were interviewed.  The aim of the study was to describe the caregiver?s experiences in caring for people with dementia and Behavioral and Psychological Symptoms of Dementia disorder. Data were processed by qualitative, inductive, content analysis. The results were presented in four categories: To connect, Two days are never the same, Being calm and giving time and All are needed. The result showed that caregivers met a variety of difficult and varied tasks in nursing.

This thesis explores how art produced in the former GDR has been looked upon, handled and exhibited after the reunification of Germany in 1990. Swedish Art History has paid little attention to art in the GDR. The debate starting in the 50s between the spokesmen for abstract art and the defenders of figuration restrained for a long period the ability to look upon art from the GDR without prejudices. This led to a rejection of all figurative art in the GDR and sweeping judgmental attitudes, like it´s all ?kitsch?.
