Most of the stoma-operated persons must work themselves through difficult feelings. The task for the nurse is to deliver a care that promotes as much independence as possible. The aim of this literature review was to illuminate how the self-care agencies affect the well-being for the persons who are operated for stoma. A systematic literature study was done based on eleven scientific studies. Three categories, which describe how self-care agencies affect the physical, psychological and social well-being, are presented in the result.

Emotion regulation is an essential part of the attachment process, the development of an autonomous self and functional stress coping systems. Research indicates that there is a relation between a distorted emotion regulation and some psychological disorders like depression, PTSD, anxiety disorders and borderline (or instable emotional personality disorder). There is a definite need to analyze the relation between emotion regulation and decision making competence since it is relatively unexplored. A digital questionnaire was distributed amongst the participants.

Denna undersökning presenterar och analyserar president Putins retorik i kampen mot terrorism i anslutning tillterrordåden 11 september, 2001 i USA och gisslandramat i Moskva ett drygt år senare.Undersökningen tar sin utgångspunkt i den ryska terroristdefinition och de principer för kampen mot terrorismensom framgår av den ryska säkerhetsdoktrinen från 2000 samt terroristlagen från 1998. Undersökningensförhållningssätt till den ryska terrorismen är det som formulerats av Ekaterina Stepanova. I undersökningenutnyttjas de teoretiska perspektiven realism- och liberalism för att fördjupa analysen av Putins retorik.Analysen visar att det officiella ryska förhållningssättet till kampen mot terrorism har förändrats efter den 11september. Putin har utvecklat en retorik som regelmässigt söker att utöka det internationella samarbetet påterroristbekämpningens område. De åtgärder som lyfts fram är både i det korta tidsperspektivet att förnekaterrororganisationer deras möjligheter till finansiering och tillgång till fristäder men även långsiktiga åtgärder somverkar för att förhindra terrorismens uppkomst genom en rättvisare fördelningspolitik.Detta påtagligt liberalt präglade budskap får dock initialt i de omedelbara kommentarerna efter terrordåden ståtillbaka för en tydligare realistiskt färgad retorik där militär makt intar en central plats i reaktionen..

This paper is intended to provide a picture of which associations water can wake in the human mind from the perspectives of garden history as well as from that of environmental psychology. I hope to paint a fairly broad picture of our perception of water that can serve as a basis for discussion and as a starting point for different forms of design work in landscape architecture. The historical perspective emphasizes the importance of water as a condition for the emergence of gardens and in a wider perspective the importance of water in early cultures. Also, I describe a picture of how water has been used throughout the history of gardens from early Egypt to the baroque era. The garden history analyzed from an art historical perspective gives a picture of human associations to water, and the history behind these associations is presented. As a compliment to the art history approach, I have chosen to highlight our associations with water from the perspectives of environmental psychology and evolutionary science.

This study aimed to describe children?s experience of living with overweight or obesity, by using a literature-review. The study includes eleven articles, data is from children between ages 5-15 year. According to the relevant passage in ?On Truth and Lie?? an image is first created as a metaphor for a stimulus and a word is then created as a metaphor for the image.

In this examination paper I?m using the qualitative method: phenomenographic analysis to present twenty educated and working pre-school teachers opinions about being outdoors in Swedish pre-school. The purpose is to describe the variation between different pre-school teachers? opinions, not to focus on wrong or right.    The paper starts with a review over the opinions presented by the literature on the subject.

This master thesis deals with computer game classics and a possible computer game canon. It looks closer at four computer game genres - adventure, RPG, action and strategy - in order to discern which games are considered classics and what characterizes them. To answer the first question a quantitative research method was used. 675 computer game reviews from 5 Internetsites were examined in order to see which games are mentioned most often in this context and therefore might be considered classics. To answer the second question a qualitative research method was used.

The aim of this paper is to map out the purposes of the United Nations Peacekeeping Operations. This is done in order to see if humanitarian tendencies have been an increasingly cause for the UN to initiate an intervention with military means. This paper uses the time period from the end of the cold war until today, since that historic occurrence increased the U.N.?s involvement in peacekeeping. By using this time span it enables the survey to indicate changes in the mapping of humanitarian interventions.

Problem/bakgrund: Simulering som teoretiskt begrepp, och det som finns i simuleringsbegreppets kontext - simulacrum, det hyperreella, symboler och bilder - framstår som abstrakt och svårfångat, på gränsen till ett skönlitterärt argumenterande. Vad innebär egentligen en simulering? Vad är simulacra? Och, framförallt, är simuleringsbegreppet värt att lägga värde i som ett teoretiskt begrepp? Det är min avsikt att, i denna uppsats, analysera detta begrepp. Att sätta det i sin teoretiska kontext och analysera begreppets förutsättningar.Syfte: Syftet med denna uppsats är att, med hjälp av en analysmodell hämtad från den kritiska realismen, analysera simuleringsbegreppets sociologiska relevans.Tillvägagångssätt: Jag har valt att använda mig av en kritisk-realistisk kunskapssyn och undersöker simuleringsbegreppet utifrån en modell i sex steg. För att presentera simulerings begreppet använder jag mig av Jean Baudrillards teorier om simuleringsbegreppet och dess förutsättningar.

The purpose of the present quantitative study was to examine gender differences inperceived job satisfaction in two departments, with different work patterns, in a Swedishmanufacturing industry. The questionnaire contained 30 statements and five backgroundquestions. The questionnaire was designed in combination of Job Satisfaction Survey (JSS),Work demands, Social support, Control and Competence (ASK), Questionnaire forPsychological and Social factors at Work (QPS Nordic) and Minnesota SatisfactionQuestionnaire (MSQ). Job satisfaction was measured based on the categories influence atwork, leadership, employee influence, work requirements and the physical environment. Theresults of the present study showed an interaction of gender and department where the femaleindustrial workers, who worked with more monotonous and standardized work tasks, valuedall of the categories of job satisfaction the lowest, except for the category employee impact.The results are believed to depend on that the women in the department had greater demandsfor variety in the work..

The purpose of this essay is to examine at how to portray characters in the stories and narratives which depicts one of these children's books and if they really have something to ethnicity and its identification to be done.The Research questions is: What are the different identification markers given, to the reading child in the books, which might indicate that the story depicts people of different ethnicities? How are the characters portrayed in the story and which role is assigned to the main character? What story is portrayed and is it relevant to an identifier can occur?The conclusions of the five children's books shows that it is important with identifications markers, to show that there are different ethnicities. For example the analysis revealed the specific features of the illustrations and how the books portrayes someone with a different ethnicity and cultural background as something exotic.In the texts, the analysis showed how it occurred ethnic differences, by explicitly demonstrating differences between the characters. It was found that the characters were produced mostly as good, happy, curious, suspicious and unsympathetic. Common to all the main characters was that they had been placed, in one for them unusual context and that they were trying to assimilate to the new situations.Depictions consisted of realism and fiction.
