Placing children in foster care is today considered the best alternative for children unable to stay in their biological environment. A nuclear family consisting of a father, a mother and a child is the most common family structure within foster care today. The purpose of this thesis is to gain insight on the family norms that control the foster care system. It's a qualitative study based on interviews with six professional social workers within the field of foster care. This method gave us empirical material, that was later analyzed from two main theories and one theoretical concept.

The aim of this paper is to examine the capacity for ethical reasoning of Swedish certi-fied auditors in the five largest accounting firms in Stockholm, and also how ethics courses affect the auditors' ability to ethically statement. To calculate the auditors ability to ethical statement, questionnaire has been used. The questionnaire is based on a psychological instrument, the so-called Defining Issues Test. At the beginning of the questionnaire some questions are asked about the ethics courses. From the questionnaire a calculation was made of an average index called p-score (Principled score).

Bakgrund: Dagens samhälle har förändrats på många sätt och tidsbrist är det gott om. Följden blir att samhällets utformning minskar den naturliga fysiska aktiviten och tidsbristen minskar den planerade fysiska aktiviteten. Fysisk aktivitet i form av dans har visats sig ha många positiva hälsoeffekter som kan förbättra både den fysiska och psykiska hälsan. Syfte: Syftet med litteraturstudien är att undersöka olika hälsoeffekter som dans kan bidra till på både fysisk, psykisk och social nivå. Metod: Studien är genomförd som en litteraturstudie där tio vetenskapliga artiklar använts.

Föreliggande studie baseras på sju kvinnors upplevelse av att vara medberoende till män som är alkoholister. Studien har bearbetats, analyserats och tolkats i syfte att undersöka vad fenomenet medberoende är och hur fenomenet medberoende lever och utifrån det kan en djupare förståelse för den medberoendes livsvärld skapas. För att uppnå en högre validitet och frambringa en mer varierad belysning av fenomenet medberoende, används två olika deskriptiva datainsamlingsmetoder. Trianguleringen består av två djupintervjuer och fem retrospektiva berättelser. Studien är kvalitativ och tillvägagångssättet är teorigenererande.

Sexual function in men with Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) is usually affected to a greater or lesser extent, depending on the type of injury and physiological prerequisites. Social contexts and psychological factors are other aspects that affect sexual function. Sexual dysfunction can lead to an impaired quality of life, depression and other illnesses. Aim: To study reported experiences of sexual function in men with SCI who have participated in The Nordic Spinal Injury Registry (NSCIR) five years follow-up. Design: Quantitative method consisting of a register study based on secondary data.

I Sverige finns det ca 150 000 personer som lider av demenssjukdom. Hos 90 procent av dessa förekommer beteendemässiga och psykiska symtom vid demens (BPSD). BPSD avser symtom som vanföreställningar, hallucinationer, agitation, depression, ångest, upprymdhet, apati, hämningslöshet, irritabilitet, motoriskt avvikande, sömnproblem och aptit. Syftet med studien var att kartlägga registrerade omvårdnadsåtgärder relaterade till beteendemässiga och psykiska symtom vid demens skattade i tre kommuner i sydvästra Sverige. Studien är en deskriptiv retrospektiv registerstudie som studerar historiska mätdata inmatad i BPSD-registret, gällande beteendemässiga och psykiska symtom vid demens samt dess omvårdnadsåtgärder.

That the Swedish society looks different depending on the location is a fact and that in turn means different schools with different conditions and resources depending on the localization. We have in this study interviewed four teachers in a high-status school and four teachers at a low-status school in a municipality south of Stockholm. The purpose of our study is to find out how teachers / educators perceive children's physical and psychological safety in their workplaces, and if there is a difference between the schools in resource allocation.In order to answer our purpose of the study, we chose to interview teachers about how the school looks for the kids in order of enough resources such as books for all, enough facilities and competent and even skilled teachers. To take into account and consider people´s backgrounds, experiences, and cultural frames of reference is a way to interact within a respectful world, and as a good approach to educating children from all parts of the world and with all the different mental and physical difficulties. The two schools in our study show lack of resources but of different kinds.

Man tänjer på gränserna. Varför tittar man på skräckfilm, vad kan man tänkas få ut av det? Är skräcken enbart till för att skrämma oss eller kan det faktiskt komma något gott ur den? I detta arbete har vi forskat kring hur filmindustrin jobbar med skräck.

Due to the façade consistsof glass the conservatory will need to have a good ratio between the area and the façade so thatthe heat losses will be at a minimum. However, due to the fact that one of the sides of the façadeis connected to the warm house, you quickly realize that the shape of the conservatory is of noimportance.There are two common ways to build a foundation for a conservatory, a molded concretefoundation and isolated wooden beams.

The aim of this essay is to investigate the function and development of non-player characters (NPC) in the TV/computer game Dragon Age: Origins. The NPCs are analysed in order to see if their development is affected by the player character?s (PC) background and interactions. The game?s ethics is also investigated by studying how the NPCs treat the PC and what significance they give to his background and actions.The results show that the NPCs are affected by the PC?s interactions, and furthermore, that they are round characters, which is unusual in TV/computer games.

Background: Poor perineal wound healing and infections after proctectomy surgery, affect a significant proportion of physical and psychological morbidities such as pain, leakage and abscesses. In its lengthening some of these symptoms will lead to extended periods of hospitalization. These kind of postoperative complications are also associated with delays in eventual chemotherapy treatment Aim: To describe the patients experiences of postoperative wound infection as well as communication and self-care support from the nurse specialist after proctectomy due to rectal cancer. Method: A qualitative content analysis was carried out from interviews. Results: Four main categories emerged; ?Coping with postoperative complications?, ?be independent?, ?feel safe?, and ?accept the situation?.

To end up as an immigrant in an unknown country and to try to participate in the majority society means both psychological and physical difficulties where their whole life is changing. Gemensamma Krafter is a prevention changing work in a housing area in Borlänge. It works among other things as a meeting place for people from different cultures. The aim with this study was to describe and to get increased understanding for the lives of a number of immigrant women who lives in Borlänge/Sweden and which importance ?Gemensamma Krafter? has had for them.

Internet dating is a phenomenon that is continually growing. 2 million people in Sweden are singles today and more than half of them have tried internet dating at least once. The purpose of this study was to research the way people choose to present them self and how the communication on an internet dating site is used.

The purpose of this study is to gain a better understanding of women who have been abused by their partners. The study also examines how violence takes shape in a relationship. Based on a qualitative text analysis of three autobiographies and one novel, we have obtained the material for this study. The three selected autobiographies are; "I have not told you everything" by Jessie Andersson, "The nightmare" by Maria Dahlén and "It would be a pleasure to kill you" by Magdalena Graaf and the novel "Hidden" by Liza Marklund. To gain a better understanding of this topic, we have used the following theories; the process of normalization of violence, gender and masculinity.
