Prosthetic leg can give a negative psychological effect to the user, which ends up in decreased self-esteem and that the user hides his handicap. xCover gives a more natural volume and a cool look. xCover changes the look of the prosthetic leg C-leg. The product is constructed by us, Patrik Svensson and Magnus Zetterqvist, for Christoffer Lindhe at Lindhextend AB. Christoffer has hired Martin Bergman at Smedjan 17 to make the design.

Bakgrund: Typ 2-diabetes är ett stort hälsoproblem över världen och den sjukdom som just nu ökar kraftigast. Fysisk aktivitet är viktig för det allmänna välbefinnandet samt i behandlingen av och för att förhindra uppkomsten av typ 2-diabetes med god motivation och kunskap och stöd finns det få hinder för att utöva fysisk aktivitet på rätt personlig nivå. Diabetessjuksköterskan har en viktig roll i diabetesvården för patienten. Syfte: Syftet med studien var att undersöka hur diabetessjuksköterskan inom primärvården ser på sin roll vid rådgivning av fysisk aktivitet till typ 2-diabetiker. Metod: En kvalitativ studie genomfördes med intervjuer av nio diabetessjuksköterskor i mellersta Sverige.

Uppsatsen baseras på en kvalitativ studie med en induktiv ansats där syftet med min uppsats är att undersöka och beskriva hur män som drabbats av en traumatisk ryggmärgsskada upplever sina funktionstillstånd över tid efter skadan, avseende funktion och förmåga. Detta i anslutning till hur männen upplever att deras funktionstillstånd påverkat deras subjektiva upplevelse av att vara självständiga och aktiva. Men också männens upplevelser av möjligheter till förändring samt upplevelsen av egenmakt i deras livsvärld. Uppsatsen som utgår från individnivå fokuserar på männens subjektiva upplevelser över tid, från tiden strax efter skadan samt deras upplevelser idag. Studien består av tre preciserade frågeställningar: - Hur upplever männen sitt funktionstillstånd avseende funktion och förmåga tiden strax efter skadan samt idag?- I vilken omfattning har männens upplevelser av att vara självständiga och aktiva förändrats över tid från tiden strax efter skadan samt idag?- I vilken omfattning har männens upplevelser av möjligheter till förändring och upplevelsen av egenmakt förändrats över tid från tiden strax efter skadan samt idag?Materialinsamlingen har gjorts genom en kvalitativ forskningsintervju och analysen har gjorts utifrån två perspektiv; Empowerment perspektivet och Crip teori.

This study was conducted in the red-light area of Pune city, India. The target group of the study is sex workers that are victims of human trafficking for the purpose of sexual exploitation. The purpose of this study was to examine the initial and continuing trauma and its effects, and the coping strategies that these women develop in order to survive. The initial trauma occurs during the trafficking and seasoning process in the brothel. The term continuing trauma refers to violence and psychological trauma that are part of sex workers lives.

Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att belysa hur kroniskt beroende av urinkateterisering inverkar på vardagen och hur sjuksköterskan kan stödja denna patientgrupp. Åtta vetenskapliga artiklar granskades och kvalitetsbedömdes enligt givna kriterier. Därefter tolkades artiklarna utifrån modifierad innehållstextanalys. Meningsbärande enheter eller begrepp togs ut som subteman som sedan reducerades till att skapa fem huvudteman, upplevelse, accepterande/icke accepterande, kunskap/information, empowerment, livskvalitet. Subteman tilläts ligga kvar för att öka förståelsen för urvalet i resultatet.

Using interviews conducted within the municipality of Nam Dich, Vietnam, this qualitative study explores how ethnic minority parents and children navigate around the state's supervision in order to preserve their traditional practices of child marriages. Moreover, the research explores the roles and expectations between individuals within an ethnic minority family as a collective unit. Using governmentality supported by the concept of state evasion, culture bearers and empowerment, I argue that understanding child marriage as a phenomenon requires analysis of cultural context. The paper starts with an introduction of the ongoing relation between the Vietnamese state and ethnic minority traditions related to child marriage. While the Vietnamese state ?s modernization projects aim to empower individuals by creating more freedom within the process of marriage and increasing the opportunity for education and work, certain ethnic minority groups want to uphold their cultural ways of marriage when parental arrangement occurs from an early age.

SammanfattningSyftet med denna uppsats är dels att ta reda på hur socialsekreterarna i två större och två mindre kommuner i Mellansverige arbetar med biståndsfrågorna utifrån aspekterna mottagning, metodanvändning, samverkan, klientinflytande samt uppföljningar. Syftet är även att undersöka hur socialsekreterarna arbetar för att utforma biståndet (för försörjningsstöd samt livsföring i övrigt) så att det stärker den enskildes möjligheter att leva ett självständigt liv. Metoden som valts för genomförandet av studien är kvalitativ forskningsintervju. Resultatet visar att det finns såväl likheter som skillnader mellan kommunerna gällande arbetet med försörjningsstöd. Exempelvis framgår att i de större kommunerna får klienterna först träffa en mottagningssekreterare medan klienterna i de mindre kommunerna får kontakt med socialsekreterarna på försörjningsstödverksamheten direkt.

Syfte: Syftet är att undersöka hur ledare uppfattar dagens ledarskap samt hur de tror att det framtida ledarskapet kommer att påverkas och utvecklas i och med ett generationsskifte.Metod: Jag delar hermeneutikernas syn då jag anser att kunskapen bildas hos den som strävar efter att skapa den. Jag har valt att använda en kvalitativ och induktiv ansats i min studie, då jag framförallt använder intervjuer för att besvara mina frågeställningar samt utgår från empirin i min studie.Resultat & slutsats: Ledarskapsrollen har gått från att vara ?den som bestämmer?, ?chefen?, till att idag bli mindre märkvärdig och prestigelös. Dessutom poängteras vikten och betydelsen av den nya lagledarrollen/ coachen som innebär att det är viktigt att kunna se var och en. Vi kan se att den yngre generationen har fler dimensioner i livet utanför arbetet, och det blir allt viktigare att kunna kombinera familjeliv och karriär.Förslag till fortsatt forskning: Att titta på familjeföretag för att se om dessa skiljer sig åt från andra organisationer vad gäller synen på ledarskap.

Föreliggande examensarbete avser att studera hur verksamma kursledare inom COPE föräldrastödsprogram redogör för vilken avsikt COPE föräldrastödsprogram har, samt hur de beskriver att de arbetar för att uppnå målsättningarna med föräldrastödsprogrammet. Syftet är även att undersöka om verksamma kursledare inom COPE föräldrastödsprogram upplever sig som experter på föräldraskap. Den metod vi valt att använda är kvalitativ intervju. Det är åtta verksamma kursledare inom COPE som är intervjuade och deras svar som agerar utgångspunkt för studiens resultat. De teorier studien vilar på är social inlärningsteori och empowerment.

The most common form of female cancer in Sweden is breast cancer and the primary choice of treatment is surgery. Removing a woman's breasts is not just removing a body part but is also strongly linked to the emotional life. This has psychosocial consequences and the reactions will be different depending on how people perceive health and illness. Factors that matter are both personal experiences and cultural factors such as religion, family, and the own standards and values. It is important that a nurse is aware of cultural factors that may influence the perception of care.

Introduction/Background: Economic evaluations help decision-makers to make informed decisions regarding resource allocation. Information generated from CEA can support evaluations of a new intervention with current praxis. The evaluations also provide information as to whether an intervention is cost-effective, both in economic terms and in health gains. Objective: The aim of this thesis is to investigate the use of economic evaluations in public health, with a focus on CEA. Use of economic evaluations is regarded as both a method for evaluation and as support for informed decisions.

The aim of this study has been to examine how people with the chronic disease diabetes are seek-ing information about their disease. The study also look at the sources, which are mainly used, and the information behavior of the participants in this study. Especially in diabetes health care the idea of empowerment is central, which means that the patients need a lot of information to get know-ledge and become empowered. The study also examine the public library as a resource of health information, and for that purpose an examination of the OPAC catalog in two public libraries has been done, using the word ?diabetes? to illustrate the literature and other medias related to di-abetes.

The purpose of this randomized controlled study was to investigate the effect of internet- administered guided self-help for women suffering from psychological problems following traumatic childbirth. The eight-week treatment program consisted of written chapters based on cognitive behavioral therapy. 56 participants were randomly assigned to a treatment group (n = 28) or a waiting list group (n = 28).The results showed that post-traumatic symptoms decreased as a result of the treatment, with large within-group effects measured by both the Traumatic Event Scale (TES) (d = 1.33) and the Impact of Event Scale-Revised (IES-R) (d = 1.3). The difference between the groups was only significant when measured by the IES-R in which case the between-group effect was large (d = 0.97). The proportion of the participants who showed clinically significant improvement was considerably greater in the treatment group than in the waiting list group.

Health is a complex concept and therefore difficult to define. The concept today playsan important role in society as well as in school, due to the inactivity of today?s youth. Thelatest curriculum for the compulsory school, Lpo 94, has increased the focus on the concept ofhealth, as a part of the physical education, but how the teacher chooses to construct theeducation is still up to each individual, which leads to a vast room for personal interpretation.This is the starting-point of our qualitative, ethnographical, study, that has resulted inthis composition. By passively participating during four lessons as well as interviewing twoteachers in physical education we have been able to analyse how the education regarding theconcept of health was constructed.
