In this Bachelor thesis an animal bone material from Västergarn parish is analyzed and discussed. The purpose of this thesis is to gain more knowledge about the Viking Age/Early Medieval Västergarn. Västergarn has a few remains from former days which have been discussed throughout the years and are still a bit of a mystery for archaeologists. The main focus is to inquire into whether Västergarn was an urban, complex society or a rural settlement. This will be done by studying the animal husbandry from the property of Snauvalds 1:2.

Det finns idag en trend i viljan att investera i samhällsfastigheter, det vill säga fastigheter där olika typer av samhällsservice bedrivs. Fördelen med denna typ av investeringar är att ägarna kan teckna långa hyresavtal med kommuner, landsting och staten som hyresgäst, vilket ger säkra kassaflöden i och med låg vakansrisk. Investeringsmarknaden för samhällsfastigheter är relativt ny för privata aktörer då dessa fastigheter tidigare ägdes i princip uteslutande av kommun och landsting, men som idag av olika anledningar valt att sälja och istället hyra tillbaka fastigheten av specialiserade fastighetsägare. Studien syftar till att identifiera de osäkerheter/risker som existerar vid investeringar i samt förvaltande av samhällsfastigheter och främst vårdfastigheter i Sverige. Genom att intervjua aktörer som deltagit i tre studerade transaktioner av vårdfastigheter från 2011 har en investeringskalkyl samt en känslighetsanalys utformats och legat till grund för de slutsatser som dragits.Att investera i samhällsfastigheter har visat sig vara en relativt stabil och säker investering, då de långa kontraktens driftnetton bidrar till att investeringen kan räknas hem redan under första kontraktstiden. Dock med antagande om att inga oväntade kostnader uppstår.

De så kallade delproblemen är: Varför vill inte folk gå på fotbollsmatcher? Norrbottens Läns Landsting (NLL) har årligen höga energikostnader fördelat på ett stort fastighetsbestånd. För att undersöka om energikostnaderna kan sänkas bör energiutredningar utföras. Genom att utföra en energiutredning på en fastighet uppdagas om möjlighet till energibesparingar finns och vilka åtgärder som kan utföras. I samråd med Dan Sundén fastighetsförvaltare på NLL, Division Service Fastigheter, begränsades denna energiutredning till att omfatta Björkskatans och Hertsöns vårdcentraler. Syftet med examensarbetet var att utreda vilka möjliga energibesparingsåtgärder NLL kan genomföra på Björkskatans och Hertsöns vårdcentraler.

Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka vilka de bakomliggande orsakerna kan vara till att en algoritm för långdivision inte längre i någon större omfattning lärs ut i skolan och även hur långt avvecklingen av divisionsalgoritmen i det allmänna medvetandet har kommit.Uppsatsen bygger dels på två enkäter riktade till grupperna lärare och allmänhet, ett divisionstest med elever i år ett på gymnasiet samt på litteraturstudier och tre telefonintervjuer med läromedelsförfattare. Vad som visat sig är att det är få människor under 40 år och med en bakgrund i den svenska grundskolan som behärskar en potent divisionsalgoritm. Det kan konstateras att kunskapen att utföra en standardalgoritm för division med flersiffrig nämnare i alla fall i denna undersökning inte längre finns bland eleverna i den svenska skolan och att den situationen bär skolöverstyrelsens och lärarkårens välsignelse. Det är dock en öppen fråga om utvecklingen dit föregåtts av genomtänkta beslut. .

Since several rules of law have a consideration of age, the Swedish labor law collides in many ways with the prohibition of age discrimination. The employment directives of EU were implemented in the member countries after the shift of the millennium. Sweden was the last member to introduce age as a ground of discrimination in its legislation. The purpose of this thesis is to investigate whether the Swedish regulations, regarding age discrimination and its application, is compatible with the EU.  The aim is also to investigate what is required to exclude the prohibition of age discrimination. The labor law provisions concerning the retirement age given in 32 a and 33 §§ LAS, priority rules according to 22 § LAS and the collectively agreed holiday benefit, which is regulated according to a worker's age, is to be investigated to see if they actually qualify for the exclusion of the prohibition against age discrimination. Furthermore, the paper intends to describe if the Swedish legislation has taken account of the research available on the subject of "age" and ?age discrimination?.

Examensarbetet har utförts på Volvo Construction Equipment AB Component Division i Eskilstuna. Företaget tillverkar drilvlinekomponenter till bland annat hjullastare och ramstyrda dumpers. Företaget befinner sig i en expanderande fas med ökande volymer och på vissa håll har taket för bearbetningen nåtts. Kopplingsaxeltillverkningen är en flaskhals i företaget och behöver ses över för att möta de ökande volymerna. Uppgiften har bestått av att utforma en ny layout till bearbetningsgruppen för kopplingsaxlar.

This paper deals with the concept "Information Overload" (IO). It describes the intellectualcontent of the idea as well as its supposed domains of activity. The OMX-case entailed considerable uncertainty about the relationship between tax treaties and Swedish domestic law. Previous approaches to handle rule conflict between them was put out of action for the first time when an internal rule took precedence over tax treaties. The Greece-case came a few years later where there were hopes that it would be decided in plenary session to return to the view that prevailed before the OMX-case, which did not happen. Instead the Supreme Administrative Court ruled that the tax treaties shall in principle be given preference, but that in exceptional situations tax treaties can be infringed to an internal rule's benefit, so called tax treaty override. Such procedure is acceptable if the legislature gives "clear expression" of the intention of a certain type of income is to be taxed in Sweden, or that a particular new rule applies regardless of the provisions in tax treaties.The purpose of this thesis is to analyze the supreme administrative courts management of rule collision between domestic law and tax treaties in the Greece-case.

This thesis concerns agreements for the exchange of information relating to tax matters between Sweden and the previous tax havens Monaco and Liechtenstein. Monaco does not apply any tax on income or capital for individuals and Liechtenstein has strict bank secrecy, both aspects are supposed to be counteracted by similar agreements. The purpose is to investigate whether the entered agreements increases transparency and effective exchange of information in accordance with the OECD´s objectives in the area. Furthermore, is there any regulation in the agreements that can be seen as potentially loopholes to avoid the exchange of information and if so; may these loopholes be justified in any way?OECD believe that the tax havens favorable tax regulation is resulting in harmful tax competition and they identify lack of transparency and lack of effective exchange of information as the main reasons.

On Ericsson Ltd in Borås a wireless communication system called MINI-LINK? is produced. In order to sell their product with the best possible quality guaranty, there is a signal processing circuit called ATLAS implemented in the system. This circuit would eventually be useful in the production and for the repairs of the radio units. Our commission was to examine the possibility for this use.

The state of Israel is known as the only democracy in the Middle East. The purpose of this study was to examine if there is aspects in the Israelis society that can be questioned in terms of liberal democracy.Areas of concerns in the study are the Israeli official policy's concerning inclusion and exclusion of their citizens in areas of property owning, personal status and the duty of military service.The results show that the Israeli society distinguishes their citizens in these areas by their ethnic origin, in favour for the Jewish population. The law prohibits changes in the states Jewish character. One clear example how this is presented is that a Jew is prohibited to marry a non-Jew. The results show also that this official policy by the Israeli state violates important principles of liberal democracy.

För att skydda fotbollens rykte och anseende satte det europeiska fotbollsförbundet UEFA ekonomiska krav på de nationella fotbollsförbunden. Utfärdad av det Svenska Fotbollsförbundet infördes därför år 2001 den s.k. Elitlicensen i svensk fotboll, gällande Allsvenskan och Superettan för herrar samt Damallsvenskan.Elitlicensen sätter ett antal krav på klubbarna, med största vikt på att det egna kapitalet i föreningen inte får vara negativt, och att påföljden om detta inte uppfylls blir att föreningen tvångsnedflyttas en division. Örebro SK blev den första allsvenska klubb som tvingades ned en division pga. negativt eget kapital.
