To Swedes in general and, to hunters in particular, there is a great interest for moose (Alces alces), witch is Sweden?s largest deer species. In the province of Öland (Sweden?s second largest island) the local people show a great interest for the moose existence, both for consumptive (hunting) and non-consumptive use (tourism). This became apparent in 2002 when the moose hunters on Öland voluntary agreed to temporarily postpone the moose hunt on the island.

I denna rapport utvärderas Scanias basbilar som används av svensk räddningstjänst. Rapporten grundar sig på platsbesök hos de involverade aktörerna samt en enkätundersökning genomförd på räddningstjänsten i Luleå. I rapporten framkommer att räddningstjänstpersonalen i Luleå sammantaget är ganska nöjd avseende basbilarna. Många synpunkter och kommentarer har lämnats, men mer i ett förbättrande än kritiserande syfte. Vissa kritiska punkter har dock identifierats och det som fått allra mest kritik är jalusierna till verktygsfacken som anses bristfälliga på flera punkter.

This thesis has the overall objective to develop the optimum sealing system between the retarder and transmission. Today, there is a pressure-relief and two radial seals separation between the retarder and transmission. It has been found that carbon residue formation may occur between retarder axle and seal lips with, in some cases, leakage as a result.We have in this thesis tried to explain the phenomenon of carbon residue, how it is formed and why it can be seen just on the seals? A rig test was conducted where we show how friction, speed, transmission temperature and mitigation phases of the retarder affects temperatures in the sealing environment. Factors affecting the coke structure are reported, together with proposals for measures that provide a mitigating seal environment.

Samhall AB är en av Sveriges största arbetsgivare med flera enheter ute i landet. I Luleå finns för närvarande ca. 75 anställda på verkstadsgolvet samt tiotalet personer inom administrationen. Företagets uppgift är att, med anvisad personal från arbetsförmedlingen, legotillverka plåtdetaljer till olika fabriker och företag, som exempelvis ABB, Scania, Plannja m fl. Bearbetningen består av Klippning, stansning och bockning av plåtdetaljer.

This thesis deals with co-operation between municipalities viewed from the perspectiveof the small municipality. It poses two questions: How and why doessmall municipalities co-operate? and Which is the place of the small municipalityin a larger organization?. To examine this three Scanian municipalities have beenstudied and one Norwegian municipality is used to provide a perspective on theSwedish discussion.Four theoretical topics guide the thesis. Firstly the core values of municipalities;democracy, autonomy and efficiency.

Syfte Syftet med studien är att beskriva och förklara hur redovisningspraxis utformas från en föreslagen redovisningsstandard. Problem Hur utformas redovisningspraxis kring den föreslagna leasingstandarden ED/2013/6 inom Scaniakoncernen? Metodologi Denna studie är baserad på kvalitativ metod. En etnografisk studie har genomförts, vilket inkluderar intervjuer och observationer. Teoretisk referensram I denna studie används förändringsteorier, vilket innebär Burns institutionella teori tillsammans med teorier om maktbaser och motiv för att kunna studera förändringen som en process. Slutsats Redovisningspraxis utformades av Scanias redovisningsspecialist med influenser av deras rapporteringsansvarige och investeringsansvarige. Detta kunde genomföras i och med redovisningsspecialistens tidigare profession och hans nuvarande position inom Scania. Motiven som drev redovisningsspecialistens påverkan på redovisningspraxis var främst de politiska motiven av vad revisorerna skulle godkänna. .

In the automatic manual transmission system, Opticruise, the choice of gear is based on several parameters such as road incline, driving resistance and vehicle mass. Many different mass estimations are made during driving. A final vehicle mass is then used to determine the current gear. Construction vehicles are often not equipped with air suspension and can therefore not estimate the vehicle mass when standing still. If that sort of vehicle is reloaded while standing still an incorrect mass estimation will be used and as an effect of that also a wrong gear.

The aim of this essay is to get knowledge and to evaluate if the media student has equal or evenbetter knowledge of information technology (IT) than his/her teacher. Today the student of IToften has knowledge of hard ware and soft ware sometimes even unknown to the teacher. Themain reason for this might be that IT hitherto has played no prominent part at the institutes ofteacher education. Continuing further education of IT for teachers is also eligible as IT still is arather new subject on the time table.To adopt an empiric approach to the problem I have used trough interviewing and questions bothteachers and students at two upper secondary schools in the province of Värmland. The schoolsare called ?A? and ?B? in my investigation.Does the teacher have enough knowledge to give the student relevant knowledge concerninghard ware as well as soft ware to handle the computer and to utilize its possibilities? How can theteacher act to comply with the students? claims and demands?IT-knowledge can be expressed in a complicated way but I have limited my investigation to therole of the teacher and how he/she manages to teach and instruct concerning a selected numberof soft ware and how the students evaluate their own knowledge compared to that of the teacher.My investigation shows that the teachers consider their knowledge relevant for their task asinstructors and teachers.

Detta examensarbete är det avslutande momentet på civilingenjörsutbildningen Ergonomisk design och produktion vid Luleå tekniska universitet. Projektet har genomförts på avdelningen för hyttergonomi på Scania CV AB i Södertälje. Målet med arbetet var att utveckla ett förargränssnitt för Scanias kommande trötthetsvarningssystem för lastbilar. Gränssnittet utvecklades utifrån tre huvudaspekter: säkerhet, acceptans och effektivitet. För insamling av information och preferenser genomfördes litteraturstudier, en enkätstudie samt en ministudie.

This report is a part of the process of enhanced cooperation between fire rescue services in the region of North West Scania. The aim of the report is to study and analyze how the fire rescue service should be structured, in terms of rescue units and personnel, if no account is to be taking to the current organization. Two types of accident are considered in the report, traffic accidents and building fires. These are more affected by decreased response time than other accidents. Several suggested organizations are presented and they are evaluated with the computer program REP.

The aim of this study is to describe a number of type stands of lodge pole pine in Norrbotten with respect on stem volume and total biomass. Further questions to answer is if there is stand characteristics that make the stands more suitable for pulpwood in early thinning, or if it is better to apply whole tree harvest. The study shall also give an indication if bio energy can be an economical interesting alternative for Sveaskog. Sampled trees represented the variation in the different stands. Five trees were selected from each stand to represent that stand. Stem volume and biomass (kg dry weight (DW) per hectare) for each fraction was calculated.

Animal welfare is of increasing concern in present society. In commercial pig farming, animal welfare problems are common. One of the causes for these problems is the barren environment in which pigs are housed, which can cause oral manipulation of pen mates. Providing straw might be one solution to this problem. Another solution could be reached through genetic selection.

AbstractAccording to a lot of people, movement contributes with a whole lot of positive things such as, learning, a better bodyknowledge, fellowship and koncentration. Movement has also proved to support many things regarding childrens development. According to Gun Sandborg-Holmdahl who is a teacher in pedagogic and Birgitta Stening who is an physical education teacher, movement and games commits many of the human senses wich contributes childrens ability to use their amagination and also spontanity. Games and movements have also shown to have good effects when it comes to childrens increased feeling to learn things. I have in this study, studied the South African school and their wiew on movement in school.

Lagret på Scania Parts Logistics AB i Södertälje består av en oproportionerligt stor del av artiklar där lagret är mycket större än den aktuella efterfrågan. Detta överlager binder onödigt kapital och då lågfrekventa artiklar inte har en kontinuerlig och jämn efterfråga är risken stor att överlager skapas för dessa artiklar om för stora kvantiteter tas hem. Syftet med examensarbetet är att hitta orsaker till att överlager uppstår på lågfrekventa artiklar och att ge förslag på hur denna företeelse kan minskas i framtiden. Ytterligare ett syfte är att ta fram en inköpsmodell som tar hänsyn till totalkostnaden vid val av hemtagningskvantitet. Vid tiden för examensarbetets utförande bestod över hälften av alla lågfrekventa artiklars kapitalbindning av ett överlager.

En av grundstenarna för en framgångsrik omorganisation är en väl fungerande kommunikation. För en effektiv förankring av en förändring hos medarbetarna bör kommunikationsprocessen innehålla så lite brus som möjligt. Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka hur brus i kommunikationsprocessen kan försvåra implementeringen av en omorganisation. Fallstudien har genomförts på en del av en inköpsavdelning på Scania i Södertälje.Vi har kommit fram till i huvudsak tre brus i kommunikationen som har försvårat implementeringen och gjort att omorganisationen på Scanias inköpsavdelning tagit längre tid än beräknat. Det första bruset var att det engelska språket användes vid informerandet av omorganisationen.
