I denna rapport utvärderades på uppdrag av Scania CV AB olika mätmetoder för bestämning av akustiska materialparametrar hos porösa ljudabsorbenter. Syftet med detta är att den uppmätta datan sedan skall kunna användas i datorprogram för att beräkna akustiska egenskaper hos olika typer och konfigurationer av absorbenter i en lastbils förarhytt.Den metod som användes vid mätningarna kallas fyramikrofons- och överföringsmatrismetoden. Metoden syftar till att med hjälp av ett mätrör med fyra mikrofonpositioner, en bredbandig ljudkälla och en ekofri avslutning mäta överföringsfunktionen mellan en referenssignal och de fyra mikrofonerna. Dessa överföringsfunktioner kan sedan med hjälp av ett Matlab®-program användas för att få fram de olika parametrarna.Resultaten från mätningarna hade i allmänhet stora fel. Detta beror på att mätobjekten antingen var missanpassade för de antaganden som görs eller hade för ojämn geometri.

This bachelor thesis is about civilian marching bands in the province Värmland industrial communities, with a focus on Degerfors, Edsvalla, Gruvön, Nors, Slottsbron, and Vålberg bands. Degerfors, Gruvön, and Slottsbron bands are three corps that still operates concerts and performances. The other three unions are defunct.In Värmland, there were many mills that were operating well into the 1900s, roughly speaking there were about 25 mills in various industrial areas. These mills had operations in glass, iron, and paper, each user had a band at least a brass sextet and today there are only eight bands left in Värmland. Bofors in Karlskoga, Charlottenberg, Degerfors, Dejefors, Gruvöns in Grums, Hagfors, Skoghall, and Slottsbron bands.What is the reason that so many bands have disappeared? To answer the question I have investigated the importance of four factors have had for the unions: finance, recruitment collaboration with the music and arts, as well as cooperation with educational associations.The results show a marked reduction in civil bands, from about 25 corps to eight corps today.

Föreliggande rapport är resultatet av ett examensarbete vid Luleå tekniska universitet och Chalmers Tekniska Högskola utfört på uppdrag av Scania CV AB, Chassimontering av lastbilar i Södertälje. För att säkra långsiktig produktion i Sverige måste Scania ständigt arbeta med att effektivisera tillverkningsprocesserna och öka produktiviteten. Samtidigt ökar efterfrågan på lastbilar. Genom att hantera en högre produktionstakt utan ökad bemanning i produktionen stiger produktiviteten. Ett medel för att uppnå detta har varit att balansera flödet.

Oilseed rape crops are an important in southern Sweden because of the high intensity of wheat growing. Pollen beetles are the most important pest in oilseed rape and causes often economic losses. Therefore it?s of great importance that we can control the population density, e g by using insecticides if necessary, to avoid mayor yield losses. In year 2000 pollen beetles were numerous in the province of Östergötland. The farmers sprayed with insecticides several times, but with low effects on the beetles. Field trials and laboratory experiments showed that pollen beetles had developed resistance against pyrethroids.

This study will chart the changeover work, with a standpoint in the SMED-theory, at the company Peter Ernst AB in Värnamo. They are suppliers in plastic moulding industry and delivers to amongst other Saab in Trollhättan and Scania. The company are in a very competitive market, and they have to make manufacturing more efficient and rationalise their costs to be able to compete. A big problem, which the company has identified, is their long changeovers. It brings higher costs, a more stressful work climate and holds back the company from becoming more efficient.Field studies will be conducted on the changeover, which will be observed and filmed.

Denna uppsats behandlar ledarskap och organisationsförändring. I rapporten undersöks hur fyra chefer har handskats med de svårigheter och utmaningar som uppstått då organisationen de verkar i ska driva igenom förändringsprojekt. De undersökta organisationerna är Försvarsmakten Visby garnison, Scania AB Falun, Apoteket AB och Nacka kommun. I de två förstnämnda består förändringsprocessen av mer eller mindre total avveckling och i de andra två rör det sig om omfattande förändringar i struktur eller arbetssätt. Undersökningen är baserad på djupintervjuer med dessa chefer och svaren har analyserats utifrån existerande modeller för förändring.

The aims of the study were to investigate the prevalence and antibiotic resistance of Campylobacter jejuni and Campylobacter coli in chicken and chicken products, and to investigate farmer awareness of antibiotic resistance development. The study was conducted in the Can Tho province in Vietnam during six weeks in October to November 2008. Ninety-six samples from raw chickens were collected from twelve market places and analysed for the presence of Campylobacter. A total of 96 cloacal swabs from 20 farms were obtained and analysed for the presence of Campylobacter. Farmers were asked to answer eight questions concerning the housing of the chickens, modes of handling sick animals as well as use and knowledge of antibiotics and resistance development to antibiotics.

Intercropping involving trees is called agroforestry and makes it possible to get higher production for every area unit. The trees can function as food, fodder, fuel, medicine; prevent mark erosion and much more. Agroforestry can also be combined with animal husbandry. The aim of this study was to document the animal production systems used by rural small-scale farmers maintaining ruminants and using agroforestry in the northern province of Rwanda. The farmers using agroforestry is expected to have higher milk yield than average due to homegrown protein. The method used during the study was semi-structural interviews with booth open and closed questions. In order to get in contact with farmers that matched the criteria; small-scaled rural farmers with ruminants and using agroforestry, the ?Vi Agroforestry Programme? (Vi-Life) in Kigali were contacted and the staff worked as supervisors, translators and contact with the farmers throughout the study. During the study nine individual farmers, two cooperatives breeding sheep and one group interview were conducted.

This essay describes how the author gradually gets a deeper understanding for his profession and the development of his professional skills, attitude and practice. The essay contains two main narratives representing examples from the author´s occupational practice, and through those narratives he tells how his practice alters and develops. These stories are also the basis for considering different aspects on how to get good models for practising a profession when you are a beginner, and how to manage ethical dilemmas. The starting point is when the author in the beginning of his career as a rural pastor is visiting a seriously ill parishioner at a province hospital. The course and the outcome of this call is surprising the young pastor, and the author tries to analyze the background to the outcome and assesses several possible explanations for the result of his call. The narrative is used to examine the attitude, the professional skills and the social and existential context for the author at that time. The patriarchal patterns in the parish are illuminated and questioned. In the second part of the essay the author investigates what will happen when pastoral cure transforms to psychotherapy, and how the author deals with phenomena in the therapeutical process such as idealization and secondary traumatization. On basis of texts written by among others Ingela Josefson, Fredrik Svenaeus, Christian Nilsson and Ulla Ekström von Essen the author seeks explanation for the development of his practical knowledge. This paper examines the possibility of identifying votive offerings among a collection of stray finds in a Late neolithic material from one farm land on the island Hven.First, I identify the Late neolithic artefacts in a collection of stray finds and make a register as well as take photographes of the artefacts. Then I compare these stray finds with material from hoards found in Scania to analyz if any similarities arise regarding length, fragmentation and patina. Additionally, I use maps to identify wetlands and a field survey to help identify and discover important areas connected to votive offerings. There is a strong possibility that the stray finds collection contains some votive offerings because similarities can be found between the lengths of the stray finds and the materials from the hoards..
