Denna uppsats behandlar ämnet filöverföring i ett nätverk. Fokus för arbetet har varit att undersöka MTU:ns inverkan på överföringshastigheten vid filöverföringar baserat på vilket protokoll som används och storleken på filerna som överförs. I arbetet har ett flertal experiment genomförts som syftat till att utreda detta, samt att finna vilket protokoll som överlag presterar bäst baserat på omständigheterna för överföringen. Olika filöverföringsprotokoll, fildistributionsprotokoll, MTU:er samt filstorlekar har testats för att finna vad som resulterar i högst överföringshastighet vid filöverföring över ett Ethernetnätverk. Resultaten visar på att en hög MTU uppnår högst överföringshastighet vid överföring av stora filer, men att en standard-MTU fungerar bättre för att överföra mycket små filer..

TCP (Transmission Control Protocol) is a transport Protocol designed for the wired Internet. In wireless networks packet losses occur more frequently due to the unreliability of the physical link. The main problem is that TCP treats all losses as congestion, which leads to a lower throughput. Ad hoc networks are multihop wireless networks of mobile nodes, where each node can allow other packets to pass through it. Topology changes often occur and may lead to packet losses and delays, which TCP misinterprets as congestion.

This assignment has been performed at location and commissioned by AttenditAB in Jönköping. The task has been to develop a client/server system to accessdata stored in SQL databases where the client application is developed to run onregular cellular telephones. The importance has been to develop as reliable mobilecommunication as possible. The functionality that is demanded upon the mobilecommunication is:? Secured for future versions? Interoperability? Data should not be bugged, modified or disappearunnoticed? Resource efficientWe have achieved these demands by developing our own Protocol that is on top ofthe TCP Protocol.

Världen blir mer och mer datoriserad, detta gäller inte minst olika typer av fordon. Datorerna i fordonen blir allt mer avancerade. Detta har lett till att de verktyg som används för utveckling av dessa datorer inte längre klarar av att hantera de allt större datamängderna som genereras. För att råda bot på detta valde BAE Systems att implementera ett nytt protokoll för kommunikation med datorerna i fordonen, nämligen XCP (Universal Calibration Protocol). Genom att implementera XCP över Ethernet går det att överföra betydligt större datamängder än tidigare, då man använde CCP (CAN Calibration Protocol), som använder sig av CAN bussen (Controller Calibration Protocol) istället för Ethernet.

Merparten av de kommersiella system för mobilkommunikation som finns och byggs i världen idag bygger fortfarande på GSM, antalet abbonnenter är över 2 miljarder. För att utöka funktionaliteten med mobila terminaler har det forskats på att införa positionering i GSM-nätverk. Tjänster som använder abbonnentens positionsinformation kallas Location Based Service och de ger möjlighet att utöka funktionaliteten och spara användaren av tjänsten arbete. Rapporten beskriver olika tekniker för positionering och slutsatsen att CGI-TA är den teknik som positioneringen ska byggas på. Denna teknik finns tillgänglig hos de svenska operatörerna idag och för att kommunicera med dem används Mobile Location Protocol 3.0.0.

Over the past twenty years, the cooperation within the European Union (EU) has strengthened and expanded with both more number of Member States and stronger influence on international politics. The unique character of the Union and its ability to enforce peace and humanitarian intervention has attracted attention in political science. This prominent position of the Union is perceived by many scholars who often hold this derived from the Union's influence in international relations. Various terms have been used to define the powers of the Union. The British researcher Ian Manners states that the unique identity of the Union in the international arena is formed by its normative power.  An important policy area within the Union is the environmental cooperation.

Unified Protocol är en transdiagnostisk kognitiv beteendeterapi baserad på empiriskt stödda principer. Uppsatsens syfte var att kvalitativt beskriva gruppbehandlingsdeltagares vardagliga upplevelser ur ett psykologiskt perspektiv. Frågeställningen var om det fanns skillnader vid jämförelse mellan före och efter behandlingen och hur eventuella skillnader och likheter såg ut. Deltagargruppen var diagnostiskt heterogen. De sex informanterna, två män och fyra kvinnor, intervjuades enskilt.

Utvecklingen och utbredningen av datanät blir allt större, och företag lägger mycket pengar på att hålla sig väl framme i utvecklingen. Samtidigt är dagens teleräkningar av en sådan dignitet att mycket pengar läggs ned på detta område också. Syftet med vår rapport är att undersöka om IP-telefoni, där datanät baserade på IP (Internet Protocol), även kan förmedla samtal på ett för företagen tillfredsställande sätt. På detta sätt kan stora pengar sparas, då det traditionella telenätet kan rationaliseras bort. Vi begränsade oss till att undersöka tre företag som idag använder IP- telefoni.

Eleven years after broking the Kyoto-Protocol, the European Union still stands in the front line, combating climate change. How come the EU, with 27 diversified states, is able to integrate its members to what is widely considered the most progressive climate policy in the world? This thesis takes a closer look at the negotiations that have shaped EU climate policy. Using negotiation-models to categorize different aspects of EU climatenegotiations, several key-findings are presented. The thesis concludes that while EU entered the Kyoto-Protocol with little to lose because of external factors like previous energy-reforms in key member countries, it had plenty to win in global influence and the satisfaction of an overwhelmingly Kyoto-positive public.

This work has been carried out at a company in the region which has about 30000 employeeswith about 400 sites all over the world. The company outsources their network including theLAN refresh and the WAN migration. They needed help with an upgrade of their LAN at theirScandinavian headquarters and to find a new solution for their WAN. The reason why the upgradeof the LAN was needed was that the equipment was too old and did not pass the securityrequirements. They also required a solution to segment their LAN, which consisted of a singlelarge VLAN with 1,300 employees.

This thesis investigates the Designated Operational Entities (DOEs) under the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) of the Kyoto Protocol. The DOEs serves as independent third-party auditors with the task of validating, verifying and certifying projects under the CDM. The majority of the DOEs are private entities. This is in line with the CDM objective of including the private sector in the climate change combat. The introduction of private entities in the role of DOEs can be questioned from a legitimacy point of view, but is corresponding to a development in international environmental governance where private actors are increasingly involved in governance arrangements.The thesis concludes the DOEs to be a form of public-private partnership and investigates the legitimacy of this form.

This project investigated the current market regarding wireless net and the communication between the tools used for diagnostics/maintenance and an embedded system. Based on documentation obtained through interviews a demo system was created based on Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) communication between an embedded system and an Android device.This report intends to describe the tools and methods used in the design of the demo system and the result of an analysis of the BLE communication.Bluetooth Low Energy is an exciting Protocol with wide applicability within the industrial field. This project investigated the communicational possibilities between a Smartphone and a Raspberry Pi and based on the results that emerged the conclusion can be drawn that BLE is a Protocol with many beneficial applications within industrial IT..

In Rio De Janeiro, 1992, was the first document signed that meant a responsibility for industrial countries to decrease their emissions, United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). Thirteen years later was the first legal binding document signed, the Kyoto Protocol, and for the first time industrial countries all over the world was bound to decrease their emissions on greenhouse gases. Within the framework of this commitment, three flexible mechanisms (Clean Development mechanism, Joint Implementation and Emission trading) were introduced with the function to reduce the economical costs of the commitment. Internet is growing every day and this is leading to an address depletion of the current IPv4 addresses. A new version of IPv4, called IPv6, is the Protocol for addressing computers that will deal with this problem. IPv4 and IPv6 are unfortunately not compatible with each other. IPv4 and IPv6 have to co-exist for a long time until IPv6 will be the dominant Protocol.The purpose of this thesis is to examine how a transition could be done or more correctly, how to deploy IPv6 in an already existing IPv4 network. After that part of the report a case study at the local Internet service provider Junet AB will be conducted.

The purpose of this study was to examine social worker?s own experiences of dealing with gender perspectives in child welfare cases. With a constructionist perspective, this study is based on a qualitative approach with semi-structured interviews. Six social workers were asked to reflect on their work and their methodology, and how it relates to gender perspectives when assessing children and adolescents in child welfare services.The result shows that there is a lack of control and review that children are given a gender neutral treatment. It also shows that there was no explicit Protocol for how to take a gender perspective into account when assessing children and adolescents needs of welfare services.
