Uppsatsen syftar till att belysa de sociala drivkrafter som påverkar kvinnor att söka sig till managementkonsultbranschen. Ett grundläggande antagande i uppsatsen är att det är det sociala som primärt formar en individs upplevelse av mening i sin tillvaro. Mening definieras här utifrån ett weberianskt och socialkonstruktionistiskt perspektiv, d.v.s. att mening är den subjektiva innebörd som socialt har framförhandlats mellan aktörer i samhället. Fem kvinnors karriärval studeras genom ett empiriskt fenomenologiskt angreppssätt, vilket har används i syfte att nå fram till studiedeltagarnas meningsstrukturer och därmed komma närmre ?kärnan? i deras subjektiva upplevelser av vad som påverkat deras karriärval.

Syfte ? Syftet med denna studie a?r att identifiera utmaningar som kan uppkomma inom ma?ltidsprocessen pa? ett sjukhus, fo?r att sedan utveckla tillva?gaga?ngssa?tt fo?r hantera dessa. I gained my interest for color during my years at the landscape architect program. I felt that you as a student in design courses constantly were faced with the problems of coloration. A subject that I perceived to be difficult, especially for us students that lacked the experiences from how a project on the drawing board turns out when it finally is built. As a professional landscape architect you there have a greater experience but I wondered how much awareness about color you actually have as a professional. How does one think about coloration and how can you use color as a formative tool? And how does color truly affect us humans? Does color have significance for the experience of landscape architecture? The object with this project is to illustrate color and it?s place in landscape architecture.

At the centre of this study lies the question if normative gender thinking affects the way poetry gets reviewed and how the reviews are written, this in relation to both the gender of the reviewer and the poet. The study crosses three academic fields; gender studies, poetry and journalism, and is based on the cultural studies theory of media affecting and even creating the world around it.The study is based on two types of analysis. One quantitative analysis based on the thematic criticism theory about detail studies that shows bigger patterns, this analysis focuses on how the poet and his/hers work are being treated in the reviews in areas such as how much space they´re given in the newspapers, how they are named by the reviewer and the tendency to quote the reviewed work.  And one qualitative analysis based on the new criticism method of close reading, that focuses on the reviewers way of writing and how that may be connected with theories of gender differences, this both connected to the gender of the reviewers and the poets.The material chosen for this study are all the reviews that were published in the same newspapers and that reviewed two specific poetry works by two specific poets chosen with great sensibility to age and career so that their difference in gender would be the most significant difference between them. The works were chosen based on year of publishing, they were supposed to be published as newly as possible and as close to each other in time as possible.

This essay constitutes an attempt to expose, with reference to contemporary animal research, the limits of Martin Heidegger?s concept of the being of animality in Die Grundbegriffe der Metaphysik (1929/30) and to propose some possible ways to think, within the philosophical style of this particular work, the being of those animals that most distinctly transcends Heidegger?s concept. The essay seeks to address the following question: Do the results of contemporary animal research expose ways of being within animality that withdrawal from Heidegger?s concept of the being of animality in general, and if so, how should we think these new ways of animal being? The motivation to ask this question, I argue, are immanent to Heidegger?s thinking in at least three ways: 1) Because of his standpoint that philosophy cannot, in any meaningful way, create an ontological concept of animality without an orientation towards the results of the positive sciences; 2) Because of the unfinished and tentative character of Heidegger?s analysis, a character that is such that it should be seen, according to Heidegger himself, as an essential point of departure for further thinking; 3) Because of Heidegger?s view that the being of the animal are such that it involves the withdrawal of this very being from any originary access, a withdrawal that necessitates an infinite return to the question concerning the being of the animal. The essay wants to be a continuation of lines that are present in Heidegger?s open-ended thought on this theme rather than to be an external critique that approach the text, which is most often the case, as a closed point of view which we are forced to affirm or reject.

With the advance of the modern information society, the importance of reliable identity authentication has increased dramatically. Using biometrics as a means for verifying the identity of a person increases both the security and the convenience of the systems. By using yourself to verify your identity such risks as lost keys and misplaced passwords are removed and by virtue of this, convenience is also increased. The most mature and well-developed biometric technique is fingerprint recognition. Fingerprints are unique for each individual and they do not change over time, which is very desirable in this application.

Kvinnligt karriäravancemang i allmänhet, och kvinnors problem att nå organisatoriska toppositioner i synnerhet, är ett ämne som länge varit föremål för diskussion. Åsikterna om hur snedfördelningen ska åtgärdas går isär och har lett till heta debatter. Inte minst förslaget om lagstadgad kvotering i svenska styrelser har rört upp känslor och debatterats intensivt. Stiftelsen AllBright la 2013 fram en rapport som visade på att det finns fler med namnet Johan i svenska styrelser än det finns kvinnor. Detta uppmärksammades stort i flertalet media.

Konfusion är mycket vanligt förekommande hos äldre och skapar stort lidande, ger höga samhällskostnader och orsakar hög mortalitet. Syftet med studien var att belysa sjuksköterskans icke farmakologiska omvårdnadsåtgärder vid konfusion hos äldre patienter. Metoden var en litteraturstudie, vilken innefattade tio artiklar där relevanta omvårdnadsåtgärder framkom, dessa presenterades i resultatet under VIPS - modellens åtgärdssökord. Resultatet av studien visade att patienter med konfusion mindes och uppmärksammade vad som skedde med och runt omkring dem. Viktigt var att få information om sitt konfusionstillstånd för att förstå vad som hände och varför.

Bakgrund - Denna studie undersökte ett organisationspsykologiskt fenomen från ett arbetsvetenskapligtperspektiv som bygger på förståelsen att de anställda är en värdefull tillgång och en viktig resurs för allaorganisationer. Utifrån denna filosofi undersöktes anställdas upplevda arbetsengagemang i relation till deraspersonlighetsdrag i ett företag som är verksam inom handel. Detta företag strävar efter professionell kundserviceoch de anställda ses som en tillgång att uppnå detta mål. Så vitt vi känner till har en liknande studie integenomförts utifrån ett arbetsvetenskapligt perspektiv tills nu. Vi menar dessutom att det är intressant att studeraarbetsengagemang i relation till personlighetsdrag som kan ge en fördel i att utveckla HR-strategier som äranpassade till de anställdas individuella behov och förutsättningar.Syfte - Denna undersökning syftar till att öka förståelsen för och kunskap om hur personliga resurser (genompersonliga egenskaper) kan medföra en skillnad för individens arbetsengagemang och hur detta i sin tur kanmedföra en skillnad i individens livssituation.Metod/Design - Studiens forskningsansats är en explorativ och kvantitativ undersökningsdesign somgenomfördes på 102 anställda inom ett handelsföretag.

Inledning: Tidigare studier beskriver att karriärsutveckling handlar om vilken riktning en individ tar i sitt arbetsliv. Hur karriärsutveckling sker och vad som påverkar individen är olika för kvinnor och män. Tidigare studier visar att det finns både inre och yttre faktorer som påverkar en individs karriärsutveckling. Vidare visar tidigare studier också att familjesituation och homosocial reproduktion även påverkar en individs karriärsutveckling. Studier visar att kvinnor har svårare än män att utvecklas i sina karriärer och orsakerna till att kvinnorna har svårigheter kan bland annat bero på glastaket.

Bakgrund: Antalet kvinnliga chefer är betydligt fler än för tio år sedan, men de är alltjämt något av en minoritet i storföretagen. Förändringsarbetet går långsamt trots gedigna insatser från både näringslivet och akademin, och det är fortfarande ett fåtal kvinnor i toppen. Under en mycket kort tidsperiod har kvinnor varit med om en genomgripande förändring, vilket medfört att föreställningar, attityder och värderingar inte förändrats i samma takt vare sig hos kvinnorna själva eller i omgivningen. Det diskuteras huruvida de fördomar och den konservatism som råder såväl i samhället som i organisationer utgör ett hinder för kvinnor att nå högre positioner inom näringslivet. Det spekuleras huruvida det är männen som hindrar kvinnorna i karriären då de utgör en majoritet i organisationerna och därefter eftersträvar en fortsatt homogen miljö att agera i.

Studiens syfte har varit att undersöka färgens betydelse i skolslöjden. Vi har reagerat på att färg används i begränsad omfattning dels i lärarutbildningen men även i grundskolan. Vi efterforskar förklaringar i slöjden och slöjdlärarens historia. Genom bakgrundsfakta om färg vill vi åstadkomma ett ökat intresse för användandet av traditionella färger och ett laborerande arbetssätt. Färganvändning kopplas till kursplanen i trä- och metallslöjd och tydliggörs i diskussionen.

The purpose of this thesis is to explain why states obtain nuclear weapons and the role variousactors and interests play in the making of states´ nuclear policies. The main questions are asfollows: (1) What big theories exist concerning states obtaining nuclear weapon and nucleararmament in International Relations and what relevance do they have of the post cold-war period?,(2) What is the meaning of the perspective of the Military-Industrial Complex (MIC)?, and (3)Arethere empirical studies which supports the existence of a MIC in the United States?The focus lies on actors and driving forces that are internal to states and it is also important toinvestigate if the theories have relevance for the post 9/11-era. The study uses the method ofqualitative literature-study with some quantitative segments. It is claimed that states might beinterested in justifying their behaviour in a morally appealing way and that real reasons may behidden.

This paper constitutes graduate work at the Depart-ment of Urban and Rural Development at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences. In this paper the urban structure of the million program suburb Husby in Stockholm is examined and what effect this structure has on social life in the area. The main objective of the study has been to, with the help of morphological analyses, examine how to create meeting places and make the Husby Park more accessiblefor the inhabitants in Husby. There has been a selection of analyses to ensure that Husby?s spatial relationship with surrounding suburbs as well as local spaces in the Husby Park is described.
