Denna studie har undersökt hur sociala problem beskrivs inom samtida svensk hiphopmusik. Syftet var att öka kunskapen om hur sociala problem formuleras. Därför har studien syftat till att undersöka vilken social problematik som beskrivs i hiphoptexterna samt hur och varför redogörelserna ser ut som de gör. I studien användes en innehållsanalys för att analysera 105 svenska hiphoptexter. Goffmans teori om stigma och Wacquants begrepp territoriellt stigma har applicerats vid analysen av de empiriska resultaten. Resultaten visar att svensk hiphopmusik tar upp sju sociala problem; missbruk, rasism, fattigdom, kriminalitet, utanförskap, prostitution samt hemlöshet.

Large corporations have come to play a central role in today?s society. By analyzing how corporations describe their work with Corporate Social Responsibility, CSR, my aim is to review how they view and relate to this role. CSR means that a corporation voluntarily takes a civic responsibility beyond that which is required by law. This can be in order to promote human rights, basic workers rights and a better environment, as well as fighting corruption.In order to get at the role played by CSR, I have studied texts dealing with the subject, which have been published on the internet by the five largest Swedish corporations.

Due to the attention of several escapes, rescue attempts and hostage situations from Swedish prisons during the year of 2004 a debate about correctional system and safety arose. It resulted in official reports and proposals to improve the safety of the institutions. The incidents of 2004 will most likely have an effect on the discourse of the correctional system. The purpose with this study is to analyse which discourses that today can be distinguished in the correctional system and thereby will be the foundation of the correctional systemof tomorrow. The method used to answer the purpose of the study is a Foucauldian based discourse analysis.

The purpose of this study was to examine high school students conceptions of young people who run away or get thrown out of their homes. Earlier research shows that this group of young people often come from families were physical, psychological and sexual abuse is reappearing factors. They often face a life of homelessness, drug abuse and prostitution. Still there is little research done about this phenomenon and what kind of help and support these young people could need. This study was done in a qualitative approach with the use of focus groups.

There is an ongoing discussion amongst Swedish politicians about how the Swedish police will be able to handle increased organised criminality represented in the growing threats of terrorism. In May 2006 representatives from the seven parties of the Swedish parliament debated the question whether the Swedish security service and Swedish police should be permitted to use increased surveillance with the purpose of preventing severe criminality.The question of increased surveillance is a matter often connected to matters of personal privacy. The aim of this master?s thesis is to study which arguments are being used for and against the proposed law that would permit surveillance with the purpose of preventing crime, as well as examine members of Parliaments view on privacy.The methodology used in this thesis is both argumentation analysis and rhetoric analysis. These two tools are used to examine the minutes from a parliamentary debate about the bill mentioned earlier.

Detta examensarbete är en fallstudie i hur kvinnliga klienter som söker vård för substansmissbruk upplever mötet med vården och socialtjänsten. Den utgår från djupintervjuer med fyra kvinnor som har haft missbruk och beroendeproblem. Vad som särskiljer dessa kvinnor är att de faller utanför ramarna av den traditionella bilden av den kvinnliga missbrukaren. Det finns ingen social utsatthet i form av våld, bostadslöshet, arbetslöshet eller prostitution som annars brukar vara närvarande. Samtliga av mina informanter är välanpassade och högst kompetenta samhällsmedborgare med arbete, akademisk utbildning, egna företag och bostad.

The essay?s main focus has been to investigate and analyze the political actions behind the 2015?s grade compromise; an agreement to introduce grades from the fourth year in primary school. Through a game-theory analysis, mainly based in Leif Lewin?s and Jörgen Herman's research on rationality in politics, this study examined the grade debate  during a fifteen year period. The primary task has thereby been to explain the grade compromise through game-theory.

Jag ville undersöka om man kan använda en PowerPoint som läromedel för att elever ska få kunskap om och förstå vikten av källkritik. Jag ville få svar på hur eleverna resonerar när de hittar kontrasterade källor som berättar om samma sak men ur olika synpunkt. I undersökningen kan jag också få veta hur jag som pedagog kan underlätta inlärning av källkritik med hjälp av en historia från svunnen tid som kräver förklaring inom områden som nyhetsförmedling, arbetslöshet, svält och prostitution. I undersökningen ingick 19 elever ur medieprogrammet från ålder 16 - 18 år som blev tilldelade olika material men som handlade om samma historia. Därefter genomfördes en diskussion om inlärning, källkritik, läroböcker och den digitala presentationen vilket resulterade i en jämförelse. Att få elever själva känna ett behov av att ifrågasätta källor är starkt kopplat till mitt arbete om Jack the Ripper eftersom historien innehåller många teorier och spekulationer. Den digitala presentationen i sig ger inte elever totala ämneskunskaper i källkritik utan det är i samspel i diskussioner med lärare och klasskamrater där eleverna kan närma sig ett flertal av olika kurser och mål.
