The competitive nature of the automotive industry has always implied a necessity to improve product development concerning time-to-market, cost and product quality. As capacity of computer-aided engineering (CAE) tools has evolved, so has the strive for simulation-driven design. Virtual durability testing using full vehicle models is one of many challenges posed in front of vehicle manufacturers when computer simulations are given a key role in product development.This thesis has been initiated as a preliminary step towards implementing dynamic virtual durability testing in the development of buses and coaches at Scania. The objective has been to assess the predictability of a full vehicle coach model and to what level of precision structural loads can be predicted. Previously performed proving ground testing of a Scania Touring coach has been the basis for the modelling and simulations in this thesis.A virtual model of the Scania Touring coach has been created in multi-body simulation software package MSC.Adams.

Wind power is an energy source that is becoming increasingly popular in Sweden and around the world. The establishment of large wind farms supply and contributes to energy production within grid in search of a more sustainable energy production. Wind power is becoming more popular and opens up new areas of implementation. More cities are starting to use small-scale urban wind power, everything from full-scale work for a little less work adapted to the villas. Sweden has high goals regarding the production of green electricity and the work which deals with the conditions Sweden plays in achieving those goals.

Business unit Cylinder at ASSA AB in Eskilstuna are having problem with frictions in their production process. Changes are occurring and older products along with machineries are phased out and transferred to low-cost countries. This opens up possibilities to at a larger extend customize physical flows after production flows. The authors where given the task to analyze the production and find problem areas to improve and to give suggestion on how Business unit Cylinder can work to optimize their production flow.The aim of the thesis work is to come up with suggestions on how to reduce the lead time in production and how the tied up capital can be reduced. In more detail the task included to find problem areas that are counteracting an effective flow, give solutions on new flows for the production of the cylinder core, give suggestions for new stock points for the production and how the production shall be managed and controlled.During the last twelve months ASSA AB has sold over 700 different types of cylinder cores, and the product range is very wide.

It has become more and more common that companies in the service sector are beginning to understand their own effect on the environment and thus the need to contribute to a sustainable development through acting in a deliberate way. Serious environmental work can help a company to improve their image and in that way win competitive advantage that leads to improved profitability. In a short time perspective, adjustment to the environment is an opportunity to gain competitive advantage and an opportunity to develop a Profile. In a long time perspective it is about survival. The environmental work has become a sequel to the work with quality.

The intention of my studies is to explore the field of musical learning from the pupil's point of view. This master thesis is the second of two Grounded Theory studies based on interviews.In study no1 Learning of music from the pupils' point of view (Pemsel, 2009) I asked ten pupils, soon to be graduates, to express their own experience of musical learning. The selection of informants was made after reading a questionnaire an- swered by a group of 60 pupils attending different programs at a typical Swedish upper secondary school. The ten selected informants had all chosen several music courses their latest years in school. The questionnaire had two purposes; one was to construct musical Profiles of the pupils, the other was to select informants for the interviews.

Atopisk dermatit hos hund (CAD) är en kliande hudsjukdom med komplex patogenes som involverar felreglering av immunförsvaret, allergisk sensibilisering, defekter i hudbarriären, mikrobiell kolonisation samt olika miljöfaktorer. Dock är den inbördes relationen mellan dessa faktorer inte klargjord. En ökad förståelse för sjukdomens patogenes, bland annat den immunologiska bakgrunden inklusive vilken T-cells- och cytokinprofil som kännetecknar sjukdomen, skulle kunna öka drabbade hundars livskvalitet genom förbättrade behandlingsmetoder. Studier har undersökt cellinfiltrat och visat att både CD4+ och CD8+ T-celler förekommer i ökade mängder i huden hos AD-hundar, och således att det finns Th-celler samt CTLs och/eller suppressoriska T-celler i denna hud. Dessa studier hittade också förhöjda CD4/CD8-kvoter, vilket visar på en ökad lymfocytreaktivitet.

Dagens teknik har bidragit till att mobiltelefonens användningsområden har expanderat avsevärt de senaste åren. Detta har lett till att alltfler mobila tjänster har dykt upp på marknaden. Uppgiften i detta examensarbete består i att utveckla en version anpassad för mobiltelefoner av den existerande produkten TelMe, som är en webbtjänst för vikarietillsättning inom olika verksamheter. Den mobilanpassade versionen kommer att gå under namnet TelMe Mobile. Problemställningen var att implementera de väsentliga funktionerna i produkten med avsikt för att göra dessa tillgängliga för mobiltelefoner.

During the past decade environmental challenges have been intensified and given increased attention. This implies that businesses in all sectors strategically need to manage these challenges. The service sector is often considered as a sector with a low environmental impact if the direct environmental aspects are assessed. Still, it has been argued that the environmental impact that the sector gives rise to can create severe indirect environmental impacts. The products and services that are produced by this sector have a relatively limited use of physical resources which may make the environmental impact challenging to visualize. Banks belong to the service sector and it is partly banks that make the development of societies possible.

Målet med detta examensarbete var att skapa en grafisk profil till företaget Lyst Form AB som bedriver större delen av sin affärsverksamhet via en hemsida. Företaget säljer handgjorda kläder och accessoarer i lintyg.En teoretisk del i arbetet tar upp hur varumärket kan kommuniceras genom hemsidan.Den grafiska Profilen utformades utifrån företagets identitet. Det är viktigt att företaget speglas på ett korrekt sätt. Ett företags identitet kan beskrivas som organisationens själ och den visas utåt i form av bland annat den grafiska Profilen. Denna ses därför som en viktig identitetsbärare och den kan kallas för den visuella identiteten.

Sociala medier har utmanat de traditionella marknadsföringsmetoderna och gjort detta möjligt. Mer än hälften av Sveriges befolkning använder det sociala mediet Facebook och i november 2012 använder 74 procent av Sveriges kommuner och regioner mediet. Det har blivit en självklarhet att använda Facebook som ett verktyg i marknadsföringen men det saknas kunskap om hur man på bästa sätt ska marknadsföra sig och kommunicera med sina målgrupper.Denna studie syftar till att undersöka hur kommunikatörer arbetar med platsmarknadsföring via Facebook för att skapa en attraktiv bild av en region.
