In this essay, I explore the history of the ideas that have shaped the Profession of landscape architecture, in a Swedish context. To this purpose, I have sampled the Professional debate on landscape architecture at four points in time. These are the years around 1890, 1930, 1970 and 2010. Drawing on G N Brandt (1920), I make the distinction between two arguably crucial approaches, i . e., naturalism and formalism. By identifying these perspectives, and by dividing the arguments of each time period according to this classification, I am able to compare the course of the debate over time. I take on the task through hermeneutics.

The aim of this Masters thesis is to identify discourses within the school library field and to analyse which Professional identities the discourses result in for school librarians. The empirical data consist of 71 articles from Swedish journals concerning school libraries and school librarians, between the years 2000-2003. The theory and method used is a discourse analysis which is inspired by Ernesto Laclau and Chantal Mouffe. This form of discourse analysis was chosen since it was useful when identity was the focus of study. The analysis is accomplished in three steps.

This study examines the closure of public libraries, and the nonprofit organizations takeover of them as a phenomenon. The aim is to understand why the nonprofit takeover is common and what the takeover symbolizes and if the discourse in media invokes the views on libraries and the Profession.Interviews were made with librarians, politicians and representatives of a nonprofit organization to study different sides of the phenomenon. Other empirical data were found in local and national newspapers and media-channels. I discovered that public libraries are highly valued by both politicians and the community. The study also showed that a library in a community makes people feel valued.

Consultancy as a Profession has always been a debated topic and has constantly been surrounded with a kind of secrecy. People have a hard time defining what consultants actually do and how they do it. It seems that they are simply waving their magic wands, performing wonders. We have therefore decided that the purpose of this study is to unveil the secrecy around the Profession. By conducting interviews and analysing literature we have examined recruitment processes in three different consulting industries and their wanted personal characteristics.

Syftet med undersökningen är att diskutera synen på läraryrkets status, genom att ta reda på vilka faktorer som kan påverka ett yrkes status. För att kunna analysera den empiri som samlades in kommer Gunnel Colnerud och Kjell Granströms teorier om ett Professionellt yrke att diskuteras. Ulfsdotter Erikssons avhandlig om bland annat yrkesstatus och Gerhard Arfwedsons teorier om lärarlöner och kvinnodominans inom läraryrket kommer också att behandlas. Andy Hargreaves teorier används för att diskutera de statusskillnader som redan i skolan präglar eleverna och de fungerar även som ett komplement till Arfwedsons teorier. Undersökningen genomfördes med hjälp av en kvantitativ metod, i form av enkäter.

Bakgrund: Inspirationen till denna studie uppkom av fo?rfattarnas intresse kring identiteter och deras intresse fo?r skapelseprocessen kring deras egna identiteter. Fra?gan som uppkom i samband med starten fo?r studien var vilka vi sja?lva har utvecklas till som blivande civilekonomer och vilka faktorer som hade pa?verkat oss.Syfte: Studiens syfte var att underso?ka skapelse- och fo?ra?ndringsprocessen av en civilekonoms Professionsidentitet under studietiden.Metod: Studien a?r genomfo?rd pa? ett kvalitativt tillva?gaga?ngssa?tt. Studien har utfo?rts med en autoetnografisk teknik fo?r att presentera studiens empiri da?r a?ven fo?rfattarnas reflektioner presenteras som en empirika?lla.

Aim: The aim of this qualitative interview study was to describe the nurse's Professional role and the role as a patient during different time periods. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, where respondents had a link to the nursing Profession, either as a student, now working nurse or retired nurse. Method: The data were analyzed using a content analysis. Result: The older nurses believe that nurses today has a high status and is seen as a well-read and well informed person. Most respondents believe that collaboration between nurses and doctors has improved since past.

Scientific studies show that good leadership is a key factor for group- and individual development. Studies have also shown that the contrary can curb talented individuals and/or cause stagnation, or even cause groups to halt their progression. This essay studies how leaders in musical and athletic environments look on their own leadership. In interviews, the leaders reflect upon experienced issues related to their Profession, their views on difficulties in their leading role, as well as individual, and group development. This study also includes two observations, one in each field of Profession.

Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att lyfta fram hur vardagen upplevs, och vad som påverkar den, av patienter med svårläkande venöst bensår. Elva vetenskapliga artiklar granskades och kvalitetsbedömdes enligt givna kriterier. Därefter inleddes den strukturella analysen där tre huvudteman framträdde. Carnevalis balansmodell användes som teoretisk referensram. De tre teman som återfanns var: relationen mellan patient och Profession; fysiska, psykiska och sociala konsekvenser av att leva med svårläkande venöst bensår, samt föreställningar och kunskap.

This essay is about the meeting of the pedagogic mission and the reality of the conditions in preschools. It is about the frustrations that I, as a pedagogue, experience when I cannot fulfill this mission. An example of this is working when understaffed.My purpose is the acknowledgment of two main areas of the curriculum: caring and learning. This essay demonstrates the diversity of the occupation and it ?s constant need of positioning.

Vilka möjligheter har lärare att påverka inriktningen på utvecklingsarbetet på den egna skolan? Hur identifieras utvecklingsbehoven och av vem? Vilka verktyg förfogar lärarna över för att utveckla skolan? Syftet med studien är att ta reda på den syn några lärare på gymnasiet har på sin roll i skolutvecklingsarbetet. Syftet är också att ta reda på om det finns några gemensamma mönster i lärarnas sätt att resonera kring skolutveckling och sina möjligheter att påverka. I arbetet ges en bakgrund och några teoretiska utgångspunkter kring skolframgång, skolan som lärande organisation, skolutveckling, Profession och ledarskap. Intervjuer med lärare på två gymnasieskolor i en skånsk kommun har genomförts. Det är i mötet med eleverna som utvecklingsbehoven identifieras och de viktigaste verktygen för utveckling är egen reflektion och dialog med kollegor samt fortbildning.

Professionalism is essential to anchor the curriculum in daily operations.The study's purpose was to investigate preschool teachers' perception of Professionalism and how the implementation of the preschool curriculum in their daily business functions.The study was an interview with four pre-school Professionals with the spread in age and experience.

Syftet med vår studie är att undersöka hur Riksdagens beslut som lyder som följande, att 30 minuter om dagen i skolan skall bestå av någon form av rörelse utöver ämnet idrott och hälsa. Detta gör vi med hjälp av lärare i ämnet idrott och hälsa. Friskis & Svettis har för ändamålet tagit fram en produkt som heter Röris, som utbildar lärare i grundskolans tidigare år och ger dem material för att fylla ut dessa 30 minuter. Regeringen och Friskis & Svettis har samma mål-sättning till de 30 minuternas innehåll, men det är till viss del samma som står i kursplanen för ämnet idrott och hälsa. Vi har gjort en studie om och kring Professionen hos lärare i ämnet idrott och hälsa.

The aim of this Masters thesis is to examine the role of librarian in order to illustrate how the librarians work, how their competence and education have changed and developed during the last decade, and ultimately to see what the role of librarian looks like in the 21^st century. After describing the librarians work, competence and education in the 21^st century, we discuss whether or not the changes that have arisen during the last decennium have affected the possibilities for librarianship to develop into an accepted Profession. The method of investigation is a qualitative analysis of printed sources. As a basis of the discussion and analysis Andrew Abbotts theory of Professions is used. We also use Per Tengblads analysis model, which includes six important steps in analysing the Professionalism of an occupation.

På senare år har sjukskrivningarna i Sverige ökat på grund av arbetsrelaterad stress, vilket tros bero på den ökade stressen i dagens samhälle. Forskning visar att arbetsrelaterad stress ofta drabbar individer som har kontakt med och ansvarar för människor. Det kan bero på att tidigare forskning inom well-being, välmående, främst har riktats mot läkarkåren. Eftersom revisorer, precis som läkare, anses vara en Profession av många, finns det incitament att även studera revisorers well-being. Tidigare forskning har påvisat att organisationskulturen både kan ha en positiv och en negativ inverkan på en individs well-being, vilket medför att vi har valt att studera hur olika organisationskulturer inom revisionsbyråer påverkar revisorns wellbeing.Genom att i ett första skede genomföra pilotintervjuer med revisorsassistenter, har detta gett oss en god inblick i deras arbetssituation, vilket har bistått oss i utformandet av en enkät.
