The purpose of this thesis was to examine if there where fallacies in the design solutions for the business system IFS Applications from a user perspective, and if so, correct these from a cognitive science approach.Data collection consisted of three main portions. These where; workshop, individual interviews and observations. The collected data was analyzed and resulted in identification of two main areas in the application that where found lacking.The result of the study showed that the usability for processing large amounts of data and the lack of customization where the main flaws in the application. Two low fidelity prototypes where created with the purpose of rectifying the underlying flawed design solutions that where identified from the collected data..

Vi upplever att männen uppvisar ett förändrat shoppingbeteende, vilket bland annat visar sig genom ett större intresse för såväl modemagasin som modebloggar. Detta kan vara ett tecken på ökad individualisering, genom vilken mannen vill uttrycka sin identitet och självbild. Det blir därför viktigt för företagen att nå denna grupp.Uppsatsen syftar till att ge en mångdimensionell beskrivning av vad forskningen behandlat inom mannens, respektive kvinnans shoppingbeteende och hur det växt fram. Uppsatsen syftar dessutom till att, dels genom litteraturstudie, dels empirisk studie, undersöka, diskutera och tolka vad som utmärker mäns shoppingbeteende i Generation Y. Vidare syftar uppsatsen till att förutsäga vad som kommer att känneteckna det manliga shoppingbeteendet i framtiden. Vi har arbetat utifrån en kvalitativ metod för att på så sätt uppnå ett djup i uppsatsen.

Inom industrin används olika testmetoder för att uppnå hög kvalitet i mjukvarukontrollerade system. Kvalitetskraven är särskilt höga för säkerhetskritiska system t.ex. styr- och reglersystem i fordon. I det här examensarbetet används två analysmetoder (Fault Mode and Effects Analysis och Fault Tree Analysis) för att ta fram ett nytt säkerhetstest för ett broms- och växlingssystem som Scania tillverkar. Det studeras även hur formella metoder kan användas för att ytterligare öka kvalitet ochh tillförlitlighet.

The purpose of this study is to achieve an understanding of how a CE- marking process is conducted and to identify the relevant factors that must be considered in such a process. We have conducted our study at Lo?vhults Svets & Smide AB (Lo?vhults) in Skruv, Sma?land Sweden, which are manufacturing brackets for small covering constructions.To understand how a CE-marking process is conducted several documents and provisions have been reviewed to achieve a basic understanding and insight of the subject. It thus led to that guideline ETAG 015 were studied and the factors to be considered in the CE-marking of brackets were identified. Together with Jan-A?ke Johansson at Lo?vhults we agreed on four different brackets to investigate for a potential CE-marking.

The procurement has been termed ?Grundpaket Drift?, GPD, and comprises mostly operational measures for road networks.The clients of GPD, SRA regions, have gradually changed the original documentation in order to adapt it to local conditions. Examensarbetet som är utfört för SAS Flight Academy innebär att modernisera hanteringen av flygradiostationer för en flygsimulator från 1968. Detta görs med hjälp en PC som kopplas till det nuvarande datorsystemet med ett parallellkort. I PC:n finns en Microsoft Access databas där all data lagras om världens alla flygradiostationer. Informationen om flygradiostationerna finns lagrade på en CD-ROM som uppdateras ett antal gånger per år. Klienten till databasen är programmerad i Visual C++ och använder Microsofts programbibliotek MFC för hantering av databasen. Klienten har två uppgifter dels sköta hanteringen och dels uppdateringar av databasen.

This transfer has contributed to fairly superficial results because companies almost exclusively focus on Toyotas methodology and not on the goal of Lean. The effort of transforming Lean from manufacturing to any organization requires a definition on a general level and a view of Lean as a system. One of the core principles of Lean and the foundation of continuous improvements is standardized work. In product development there is a negative view on standardized work, where the engineers state that the principle is not applicable for knowledge processes that include non-repetitive and creative work.In the framework of this master thesis literature has been studied to find support that standardized work is applicable for product development and areas that include knowledge processes.

The cheetah (Acinonyx jubatus) is one of the big feline species kept in zoos worldwide. The wild populations are quite small and therefore the captive population make up an important part of the total population of the world. Although life in the wild is not always easy and a captive environment provides shelter and food it does not come without problems. Under början av 1990-talet inledde Volvo Personvagnar i Olofström en process där övervakning av robotiserad MIG/MAG-svetsning var i fokus. Det ledde fram till ett forskningsprojekt som resulterade i att Stefan Adolfsson, Lunds tekniska högskola/Blekinge tekniska högskola, 1998 presenterade avhandlingen Automatic Quality Monitoring in GMA Welding using Signal Processing Methods [5]. I den presenterades ett SPRT-baserat övervakningskoncept för övervakning av MIG/MAG-svetsning med kort- och spraybåge.
