Hemsidan Àr den enskilt största kommunikationskanalen mellan Ericsson och potentiellt framtida anstÀllda. Företaget har idag problem med att den globala karriÀrhemsidan inte uppfattas som anvÀndarvÀnlig av sÀrskilt studenter, och detta examensarbete syftar till att definiera krav för hur en global karriÀrhemsida bör utformas för att vara anvÀndarvÀnlig och vÀlkomnande för studenter.Med en anvÀndarcentrerad designstrategi och en teoretisk bas inom interaktionsdesign och human factor syftar avhandlingen till att förstÄ vad studenterna efterfrÄgar och hur Ericsson kan möta och övertrÀffa dessa förvÀntningar. Tester, workshops, utvÀrderingar och intervjuer har anvÀnts för att iterativt utveckla en prototyp och kravspecifikation.Studien visar att det finns tvÄ huvudsakliga typer av anvÀndare att designa för: de med ett tydligt mÄl att hitta ett jobb och de som försöker ta reda pÄ om företaget Àr av intresse. Vanliga kÀnslor hos anvÀndarna att ta hÀnsyn till ÀrÄngest, ensamhet, beslutsamhet, spÀnning och glÀdje. NÄgra av slutsatserna kring den befintliga karriÀrhemsidan Àr att den vÀnstra menyn inte Àr organiserad pÄ ett sÀtt som hjÀlper anvÀndaren att hitta vad han/hon letar efter, innehÄllet i mitten Àr för allmÀn och trÄkig för mÄnga anvÀndare och högerspalten anvÀnds sÀllan, trots att den innehÄller vissa anvÀndbara funktioner.

Uppsatsen syftar till att beskriva och synliggöra de kommunikativa erfarenheter HR-funktionen harfrÄn sitt arbete med chefer samt om och pÄ vilka sÀtt de utvecklat eller modifierat sitt sÀtt attkommunicera med personer i chefsfunktion. Studien belyser det faktum att det saknas tidigareforskning som studerat HR-funktionens kommunikation i rollen som chefsstöd och dÀrför utgickstudien frÄn tidigare forskning avseende HRs roll och identitet. Vi intervjuade Ätta HR-medarbetaresom alla representerade olika organisationer för att skapa en bred bild av deras kommunikativaerfarenheter. DÄ studien syftade till att lyfta fram HR-funktionens erfarenheter av kommunikationsom chefsstöd bad vi respondenterna delge oss deras berÀttelser som belyste detta. DÄ berÀttelsernavar i fokus utgick vi frÄn teoretiska utgÄngspunkter om kommunikation, dialogiska principer ochprofessionella samtal.

The division of Electricity at Uppsala University runs a project called Lysekil project, they have designed a buoy that uses the waves to create electric power from a generator attached to the bottom of the sea.Uppsala University is closely connected with the company Seabased and the university makes use of their facilities in Lysekil. When they designed the buoy issues occurred, the geometric design was flawed, brackets with a short shelf life and it is generally uneconomic.A study visit was done in Lysekil on Seabased facility. With this visit the project started, which is to improve the design of the buoy and the attachment of wires leading to the generator. In this project we have chosen to use a beam system with three beams that are attached to the buoy. Then a wire attached to a plate that sits between the beams will be leading to the generator. Two proposals for construction are created, what distinguishes them are the brackets between the beams and the buoy.From these constructions, the design that is considered most optimal for our project is chosen.All parts of the buoy have been modeled and the drawings are designed in ProEngineer software.The two constructions are compared with each other, but the whole focus is on the second and final structure. The report begins with an introduction describing Lysekil project, and a task description of our project.The project aims to produce an optimal buoy that will be easy to design, materials restrictive with good durability and an economical solution.Wave power true function has been studied, mechanical and finite element analysis of beams, buoy and plate design.This has been presented in this report, where in the various chapters can read more about the processes. The thesis analyzes two different approaches towards responsive web design, Mobile-first and Desktop-first. Responsive web design is a concept for websites whose design is customised based on the screen size. The analysis is performed by collecting views on the methods and also analyzing the usage of mobile and desktop internet to create a prototype of a responsive website where both methods are beeing used.The main difference between the methods is the foundation, where one is designed for mobile and the other for desktop. The thesis indicates that Mobilef-irst gives a better result for the mobile, which unlike the computer has poor performance, smaller screen and poor internet connection, therefore an advantage for the device that needs more focus to maintain a fast response. Desktop-first does not take this opportunity, but focus instead on the computer where the performance is better, which leads to a unnoticeable difference in response time.

Development of services that?s provided through mobile application technology in today's modern IT society has become a full-fledged market where numerous players trying to make themselves heard in everything from innovative new services to the further development of existing services. In these services actors wants to find new areas of use by taking advantage of the mobile technology.We have investigated how value is created and how the value is captured in the services provided through mobile applications. Through this, we wanted to identify the critical success factors in how a newly developed service should be designed to create value. This has been done through a thorough literature review, together with an indepth evaluation of existing applications.

Syftet med studien var att belysa hur den fysiska miljön inverkar pÄ patienters hÀlsa under sjukhusvistelse. Författarna valde att avgrÀnsa den fysiska vÄrdmiljön till det som avser den inifrÄn upplevda byggnadens miljö för medicinsk vÄrd och omvÄrdnad inom sjukhus. Det vill sÀga arkitektur, design och estetik, ljus och ljud. I studien anvÀndes Florence Nightingales omvÄrdnadsmodell som teoretisk referensram. Studien var en litteraturstudie med en kvalitativ ansats.

The residential yard at Kvarteret Landsfiskalen 1, in the area HerrgÄrden in RosengÄrd, Malmö was built in 1971 and has since then been reconstructed twice, in 1984 and 2008. The yard is found in an area which was built during the years 1965 ? 1974, a period in which the swedish goverment approved a decision to build one million homes, and much of the events in this particular yard is also typical for the process in many other areas built during the same period.At the original construction the design of the yard was entirely incused by the pressure in time and finance, one was under at that time, in order to over- come the housing shortage. The design it has nevertheless been given, reflects the esthetic ideals of that time well.The building of the area was barely finished when the swedish authori- ties started handing out grants in order to support the rearmament of the outdoor environment in the areas built during the so called ?million program?.

Ever since Thomas More?s book Utopia was published in 1516, theutopian idea has not lost its topicality and has been strongly rootedin literature, art, film and architecture. Utopia can be seen as a statein which utopia allows a space for wishes, dreams and a desire forsomething better. In my degree project I have chosen to explore thehistorical utopian ideas to create a content that treats utopia on asubjective level. With visual communication as a starting point I havetried to fixate this state in a book.

The competition amongst companies is getting tougher and the economic markets are getting even bigger with new products and businesses. One way for companies to differentiate themselves from the competitors is through packaging design. If the merchandise is to send a reliable and solid message to consumers, the attributes of the packaging must be consistent and uniform. If the different attributes are not coherent, the message loses credibility towards the consumer. Through the sent messages, the pack signals the products? expected quality and price.This paper includes two studies, in which the main objective is to discover and build understanding about Swedish consumers? perception of a product?s price depending on the pack?s design.

Vi lever idag i ett konsumtionssamhÀlle som innebÀr att vi förbrukar varor och tjÀnster i en hög takt och konsumtionsbeteendet styrs inte enbart av behov utan snarare av en vilja att förnya och att stÀrka vÄr sociala position. Den ökade konsumtionen har lett till ett köp och slÀng beteende som tÀr pÄ jordens resurser och om företag pÄ nÄgot sÀtt kan undvika detta Àr det positivt ur bÄde ett samhÀlls- och miljöperspektiv. Ett sÀtt att fÄ konsumenterna att köpa fÀrre produkter och mer sÀllan Àr att öka graden av design i produkten och dÀrmed förlÀnga produktens hÄllbarhet. Design har som första uppgift att sÀkra mÀnniskans överlevnad och nÀr basbehoven Àr uppfyllda kan design Àven anvÀndas för att göra livet mer bekvÀmt och innehÄllsrikt. Begreppet design handlar inte enbart om utseende, utan innefattar per definition funktionalitet och mÄlet med design Àr att uppfylla behov hos anvÀndarna bÄde vad gÀller funktion och utseende.

Resurssatsningar kan ha betydande pÄverkan för företagets ekonomi.

The thesis has been carried out in cooperation with Master Flow AB, VĂ€stervik owned by the EWEBE Group. The company produces and sells hot runner systems that are tailor made for the customers.The problem that MasterFlow AB has encountered is in the construction of complex hot runner systems in SolidWorks. With several different lengths, fronts and endcaps that builds the nozzles of the hot runner systems, is affecting the problems for MasterFlow AB. The purpose of this work is to automate the design of hot runner systems so it does not overload the CAD-system SolidWorks.To gain an understanding of the problem, there have been several studies and observations at the company, where the focus has been on how the work is done with the design of hot runner systems. By using help from the corporate management, enough information has been collected to find a solution to these problems.The implementation of design automation has been based on a flowchart that was created.

PÄ initiativ av HÄkan Gerdin pÄbörjades utvecklingen av ett personaluthyrningsprogram, eftersom han en lÄng tid saknat ett program med denna specifika inriktning. Detta startade sommaren 2002 genom ett examensarbete med vÀl genomfört förarbete och utformning av programmets design. Programmet fick Àven namnet GOE!. Under hösten samma Är gjordes Ànnu ett examensarbete som bestod av att realisera större delen av GOE!. DÄ det fortfarande saknades funktioner och manual erbjöd jag mig att göra delar av detta arbete som sedan inleddes i början av 2003.

This report describes a project, which was carried out as a final thesis covering 30 ECTS during the final semester of the Master of Science programme Industrial Design. The assignment was issued by Fagerhults Belysning AB in Habo. The assignment was to design a family of products in which LED was to be used as a source of light. The main focus in the initial part of the project was to find a way to design the inside of armature which was suitable for LED technology. An armature, already in the range of products at Fagerhult, with the desired qualities that was to be strived after was the Zintra. The lighting source of the Zintra is a compact fluorescent lamp.

The purpose of this thesis was to examine if there where fallacies in the design solutions for the business system IFS Applications from a user perspective, and if so, correct these from a cognitive science approach.Data collection consisted of three main portions. These where; workshop, individual interviews and observations. The collected data was analyzed and resulted in identification of two main areas in the application that where found lacking.The result of the study showed that the usability for processing large amounts of data and the lack of customization where the main flaws in the application. Two low fidelity prototypes where created with the purpose of rectifying the underlying flawed design solutions that where identified from the collected data..
