En fallstudie genomfördes med tvÄ observationer och en fokusgruppintervju pÄ intensivvÄrdskliniken vid Linköpings universitetssjukhus. Syftet med fallstudien var att ta fram grundlÀggande informationskrav för att stödja sjukvÄrdspersonal vid möten och ronder i en intensivvÄrdssituation. MÄlet var att utveckla en övergripande design för ett digitalt arbetsbord.

This report describes how the process has evolved during the creation of a new web page forthe company Scandinavian Travel Agent DMC. The design methods that have been used aredescribed and also how parts of the webpage have been created by using the design methodresults. Our reflections around design and functionality are explained and how usability hasbeen our main focus during the master thesis. We also describe how it has been to work withan external costumer and how the tasks constantly have changed and been added as theprocess has continued.The background to this work is that AB Scandinavian Travel Agent DMC need to improve theircurrent web page. This to give the clients better needed information about destinations, butalso to stand out in the competitive travel business.

The purpose of this report is to simplify the process of designing carbon fiber strengthening for existing concrete constructions, specifically beams. The intention has been to establish a flow chart containing information on the necessary testing and calculations for the design, to as far degree it is possible satisfy the requirements stipulated by Swedish and by extension, European authorities.To do this the report will examine a parking garage situated underground by Akademiska Sjukhuset, Uppsala. The parking garage was built in the mid-seventies, and has in recent years been subjected to a greater load than designed for by the construction of a road on top of it. FEM-Design has been used to obtain the internalforces of the beams and thereby determine whether they are in need of strengthening or not and thereafter design the strengthening according to TĂ€ljsten (2006) with some corrections from TĂ€ljsten (2011) due to new regulations.The result of this report is that the flow chart used is viable to design carbon fiber strengthening, atleast with the conditions met in our reference project.The conclusion drawn after working with this report is that there is a need for a clear standard for carbon fiber strengthening , preferably a standard that can be used throughout Europe..

Jag undersöker möjligheten att göra detta genom att ge anvÀndaren ett positivt visuellt första intryck för att sedan lÄta resten av webbplatsen prÀglas av anvÀndbarhet. Att det första intrycket fÀrgar övriga intryck Àr ett fenomen som kallas haloeffekten (Hinton, 1993). Hur skapar man dÄ ett positivt första intryck? Jag har utgÄtt frÄn en definition av estetik dÀr begreppet Àr uppdelat i tvÄ dimensioner, klassisk och uttryckande (Lavie och Tractinsky, 2003).

This thesis investigates how web agencys in Stockholm use, value and incoroprate the terms usability, user experience and interaction design in their work process. The purpose of this study is to investigate how creative professionals works with the notions of usability, user experience and interaction design with focus on the end user. Our definition of creative professionals is every employee at a web agency involved in the work process of developing digital artefacts in any capacity. We wanted to investigate how these notions are considered, consciously or unconsciously, during the workprocess. Semi-structured interviews were conducted at three different web agencys with eight different employees.

Detta examensarbete omfattar 15 hp och utfördes av Jelena Todorovic, student pÄ Malmö Högskola, Produktdesignprogrammet. Syftet med arbetet var att utveckla en sportbag för personer som bor i nÀrheten av ett gym och som efter trÀningen duschar hemma. Projektets bas var AnvÀndarcentrerad design, som innebÀr att utvecklingen av konceptet sker efter anvÀndarens behov, önskemÄl och preferenser. AnvÀndaren inkluderades i projektet i allt frÄn skisser, intervjuer, observationer, utvÀrderingar och urval av koncept till slutkonceptet. Studenten sÄg ett behov av en annan vÀska Àn den traditionella sportbagen. Projektets förstudie resulterade i att studenten sammanstÀllde en kravlista pÄ mÄlgruppens önskemÄl och behov. En sportbag dÀr funktionaliteten var viktigast kom att bli projektets fokus.

This thesis of 15 hp has been implemented at Halmstad University, in collaboration with Saab Dynamics in Linköping. Saab Dynamics is a company operating in the defence industry where competition is tough. This necessitates new ways to increase efficiency in the company, which is the basis for this thesis. Saab Dynamics wants to introduce simulation driven design. Since Saab Dynamics engineers have little experience of simulation, required a user methodology with clear guidelines.

The thesis work was conducted with the company Free2Move AB. The company is located in Halmstad and is an acting provider of wireless communications for industrial customers, mainly focused on Bluetooth? technology.In today's society most people have their music on their computer, MP3 player or mobile phone. What if you could avoid the cable between your sound system and sound source and transfer music wirelessly instead? Together with the company's engineers, I have developed a new comprehensive product for wireless music transmission.

En uppsats som tar lÀsaren med pÄ en resa genom ett designarbete med klistermÀrken i vinyl som slutprodukt. kan man med hjÀlp av klistermÀrken skapa en dynamisk inredning eller kan man med hjÀlp av design sÀtta fart pÄ en miljödebatt om dricksvatten? I denna rapport fÄr ni följa med pÄ en resa genom mitt C arbete "The StickerProject" dÀr jag med design och kreativitet designat klistermÀrken i försökt att, underlÀtta vardagsproblem, erbjuda ett enkelt och billigt dekorations alternativ till tapeter och fÀrg, men Àven snabbt tittat pÄ till hur design för inredning och klistermÀrken sett ut genom historien. Som en bonus följer Àven ett avsnitt om miljön med dÀr diskussionen kring dricksvatten fÄtt rollen som inspiration för nÄgra av mina produkter. Följ med och inspireras till att göra vÀrlden mindre ful.

Det har blivit allt dyrare att bygga i Sverige, den svenska byggnadsindustrin har halkat efter övrig producerande industri och byggföretagen mÄste börja tÀnka i nya banor om de ska klara de nya utmaningarna. Lean-tÀnkande har lÀnge nyttjats inom den tillverkande industrin och byggföretag har pÄ senare Är börjat snegla pÄ dessa koncept i syfte att öka sin produktivitet. Problemet Àr att byggindustrin inte har homogena produktionsmiljöer och dÀrmed inte kan anvÀnda samma lean-koncept som exempelvis bilindustrin. DÀrför har ett nytt koncept som kallas Lean construction utvecklats som bygger pÄ ett antal principer frÄn traditionella produktionssynsÀtt (Koskela, 2000). Konceptet Àr relativt nytt och forskningen inom omrÄdet har frÀmst fokuserat pÄ lösningar pÄ specifika problem istÀllet för att skapa förstÄelse för konceptets helhet.

This thesis examines how techniques from place marketing, developed to market places, can be used in the process of designing a visual identity for an institution. The thesis is a case study of the development of a new visual identity for the public art institution Malmö konsthall. The essay presents Malmö Konsthall, defines the term visual identity and describes the main principles in place branding. I then define target audiences and key values, discuss the application of place marketing principle and go through the design process of the new visual identity. The process showed that theories about flagship buildings, signature design and signature districts have the biggest influence on the design.

This report was written as a result of a Bachelor Degree Project at the School of Technology and Society at University of Skövde, first semester 2007. The assigner was Tibrokök in Tibro, Sweden. The commission was originally to design a sliding door concept for kitchen. Later it was expanded to also include bathrooms.During the feasibility study of the project Internet was used as an information source. Kitchen brochures and magazines were ordered from different companies to give inspiration and ideas.

This thesis presents the design and implementation of an accounting and status notification system for the LPRng print spooler. A solution using SNMP to query for needed accounting and status data is presented, a design built upon this, and an implementation produced. As the system derives from the requirements specification, it will make no attempt to solve all printer accounting problems or to offer compatibility with all printers, database management systems or print spoolers. However, several solutions for printer accounting are discussed and the best solution derived from the requirements specification will be chosen..
