Ägarintressena i investmentbolag kan vara kopplade till både makt ochvinstmaximering vilket gör det intressant att undersöka huruvida ersättningen till VDpåverkas av ägarstrukturen och företagets prestation.Syfte: Studien syftar till att belysa om det i ett urval av svenska investmentbolag finns någonkoppling mellan ägarstruktur och ersättning till VD. Vidare ämnar studien att för samma urvalbelysa eventuella samband mellan ersättningen till VD och investmentbolagets relativaprestation.Metod: Studien är av kvalitativ karaktär och baseras på ett urval av fem investmentbolag.Den teoretiska referensramen utgår från principal-agent konflikten. Vidare har det empiriskamaterialet samlats in från investmentbolagens årsredovisningar för att möjliggöra en analysav hur ersättningen till VD har påverkats av företagens ägarstruktur och prestation relativt deandra investmentbolagen i urvalet.Slutsats: Avseende investmentbolagen i urvalet så tenderar ägarstrukturen att ha storbetydelse för storlek och utformning av ersättningen till VD medan ersättningen verkar saknasamband med företagets relativa prestation..

The purpose of this study was to investigate produced laser data from the new national height model's airborne laser scanning in Sweden, what quality it has and whether it can be used for forest management planning. From airborne laser scanning one can obtain information on forest variables such as tree species, height, diameter and basal area. Norra skogsägarna is the principal employer of this project and they wanted know to the quality of the laser data which needs to cope with their standards. If the laser data the quality required it can replace some of the operations performed by field planners. To examine the quality of the produced laser data a control tax assessment has been performed in 30 forest departments. This was done in an objective manner.

CSR, Corporate Social Responsibility, har under de senaste decennierna utvecklats till en mer eller mindre obligatorisk del i ett företags verksamhet i dess strävan att lyckas överleva på den konkurrensutsatta marknaden. Det finns dock än idag stora skillnader i hur pass mycket olika företag ägnar sig åt CSR. Med utgångspunkt från en rad olika skandaler som media belyst de senaste två decennierna, och hur allmänheten reagerat på detta beroende på vilket företag det varit fråga om, har ett intresse väckts i varför vissa företag lägger mer resurser på CSR-arbete än andra.Denna studie ämnar undersöka huruvida det förekommer skillnader mellan industri- och konsumentföretags grad av CSR-arbete, och i så fall - mer specifikt - om dessa skillnader har att göra med om det är ett industri- eller konsumentföretag, eller om det endast är andra faktorer som spelar in. Studien bygger på en kvalitativ undersökning där två företag från respektive bransch undersöks på djupet, och kompletteras med en kvantitativ undersökning där hållbarhetsredovisningar samt webbsidor från ytterligare tre företag från respektive bransch studeras. We have in this essay studied the Swedish Hedge Fund Market available for the average Swedish private investor. We have closely looked at the risk measurements that are applicable on the evaluation of Hedge Funds today, and furthermore studied how they are communicated and what they actually contribute with in terms of risk and yield. Our survey attempts to clarify the shortcomings in the communication between the Hedge Fund Managers and their smaller investors. Do they really know where they put their money? The market is rapidly expanding and our goal was to find improved ways to inform about the Hedge Funds risks and opportunities.

The aim of this master thesis is to examine research perspectives and a selection ofmanagers? views on the concept of work motivation. With an exploratory approach,based on a literature review and interviews these views are examined and compared inrelation to a theoretical framework. This theoretical framework consists of three keyconcepts, the individual, the context and the regulation of work motivation. Theliterature review reveals two research perspectives, a classic economic perspectivebased on Principal?Agent Theory and a more up to date social psychologicalperspective based on Self-Determination Theory.

The purpose of this study is to increase the understanding of how venture capitalists can use their network in order to reduce information asymmetries between themselves and the venture management team. A qualitative approach with semi-structured interviews, consisting of open questions, have been used to receive gradate information in order to reach our explorative purpose. Our theoretical framework consists of relevant studies made on the dynamics of networks and the problems that can arise in the complex relationship between a principal and an agent. We have been interviewing two venture capital firms and therepresentatives from two business angel networks. We also made an additional interview with an influential financial actor in order to try to verify our conclusions Our conclusions are that an extensive network can be used by venture capitalists in order to; verify ventures? technologies, complement the competences in the venture management team, and arrange co-investments, resulting in reduced information asymmetries between themselves and the venture management team.

Denna studie är av kvalitativ art och syftar till att undersöka huruvida crowdfunding kan överbrygga ett eventuellt finansiellt gap för svenska företag och entreprenörer. Undersökningen fokuserar på tre typer av respondenter, vilka är representerade av företag som brukar crowdfunding som finansieringsform, bolag som fungerar likt ombud för att förmedla kapital med hjälp av finansieringsformen samt respondenter vilka opererar likt investerare i projekten. Corporate social responsibility (CSR) does not have an explicit definition but instead entail a broad spectrum of various obligations that an organisation is responsible for. CSR has in recent years become a highly relevant and debatable topic as a consequence of the increased exposure of companies to society. Due to an augmented consumption from the general population, CSR is of great importance in companies' aspiration to create and maintain a solid relationship with costumers. Previous researches have described what areas of CSR are most relevant in terms of consumption. However, it can be suggested that these publications have failed to provide an indication of what type of costumers these various areas attract.

The thesis consists in two parts. The purpose of the first part is to analyse how the court may interpret rules, principles and legal cases to decide whether a reconstructor bears liability towards the debtor and the creditors. In the second part it is discussed and argued for how the reconstructor´s damage liability should be drawn up and applied so that it according to economic theories should be as efficient as possible. An aircraft fuel system is very complex, containing pipes, tanks, orifices, valves and pumps. The principal of this thesis is using the tool Easy5, which no longer is considered reliable enough in terms of development and support. This thesis tries to evaluate the Modelica language as a possible alternative to Easy5. To make this evaluation, the components concerned in the fuel library in Easy5 are implemented to the Modelica language.
