Inadequate data quality has a negative effect for organizations, however utilization of modern technology and data analysis may shape new values for organizations. Our research has found that the quality of information in field reports for error reporting varies significantly. In many cases, the information in the field reports are deficient in such way that the field report need additional information from the sender, thus risking prolonging lead times in the error reporting process. More efficient use of information has become possible with today?s technology.

To be more precise the purpose is to find out how the discourse is constructed. The Birdflu or H5N1 witch is its real name is something that could affect us all, yet very few people know a lot about it. To achieve this purpose I constructed one primary research question:o How has Expressen, in the public media discourse, treated the phenomena we know as the birdflu?This primary research question holds three more specified research questions:o What does Expressens discourse about the birdflu look like?o What actors are participating in the articles?o Why does the discourse look like this?THEORY The theory chapter of the essay contains four different parts.

Bakgrund: Cancer är en sjukdom som drabbar 48 600 personer i Sverige. Av dessa väljer 50-70 % att vårdas palliativt i sitt hem. De patienter som vårdas palliativt har behov av en bra symtomlindring och god kommunikation med vårdpersonal. Syfte: Syftet med studien var att undersöka vilka behov patienter med cancer har som vårdas palliativt i hemmet. Metod: Metoden som använts var en litteraturstudie.

En god munvård har betydelse både för hälsa och det allmänna välbefinnandet och brister kan leda till lidande såsom sjukdom, undernäring och försämrad livskvalitet. Syftet med studien var att belysa det vårdande teamets förhållningssätt till munhälsovård för vårdtagare i särskilt boende. Litteraturstudien baserades på vetenskapliga artiklar med kvalitativ ansats. Artiklarna bearbetades med hjälp av en innehållsanalys. Studien visade på en komplex problematik och det framkom att munvården kan innebära ett etiskt dilemma på grund av det starka integritetsområde som munnen utgör.

Health care is increasingly complex, which increases the demand for knowledge and expertise. Despite this, the share of specialized nurses, including anaesthesia nurses, has decreased from 65% to 48% from year 1995 to year 2008, according to statistics from the National Board of Health and Welfare (Socialstyrelsen) in 2010. Studies indicate that there may be various factors in the work environment that anaesthesia nurses, choose to leave the anaesthesia profession. The purpose of this study was to examine how anaesthesia nurses experienced the physical and psychosocial work. The study was conducted as a descriptive study with qualitative approach.

Kommunikationen mellan vårdgivare och personer med demens som är tvåspråkiga är ett omvårdnadsproblem om vårdgivaren inte vet hur hon/han ska kommunicera med personer med demens. Den verbala kommunikationen är i dessa situationer av stor betydelse men viktigast av allt kanske den icke verbala kommunikationen är. Studiens syfte har varit att belysa hur vårdare kan kommunicera med tvåspråkiga personer med demens. Studien gjordes baserad på litteratur med en kvalitativ ansats. De faktorer som framkom i resultatet var, vårdare ge mening i kommunikationen, fysisk närhet, verbala kommunikation och icke verbala kommunikationen. Från dessa faktorer har man till exempelvis kunnat dra slutsatsen att tvåspråkiga personer med demens kan kommunicera till sina vårdare genom att använda sig av den icke verbala kommunikationen..

This essay?s focus lies on the collaboration that takes place in hospitals and called a care-plan (vårdplanering) between the two organisations: Health-care (landsting) and social-care (kommun). According to the Swedish-law are these organizations responsible for the care of elderly individuals in Sweden. The aim of this essay has been to study closely this collaboration in order to see which partner has the most influencing power.This essay is of a qualitative character, which means that the results that are presented are based on six individual interviews with employees from the two organizations. The employees chosen for this essay all have job experiences from the collaboration that takes place during care-plans in hospitals.One of the main results of this essay has been that the two organizations are not equal collaboration-partners.

In the current situation there is a lack of documented research on horses' involvement in rehabilitation and social work. Studies show that animals, and especially horses, can have a positive impact on human well-being, both physically and mentally.

About 10 % of the adult women population in Sweden are treated annually for urinary tract infections. The increasing bacterial resistance towards antibiotics is classified by WHO (World Health Organization) and ECDC (European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control) as one of the greatest treats for human health in a global perspective. To find alternatives scientists are studying the possibility to use probiotics to reduce the frequency of recurring urinary tract infections. This literature study examines five randomized double blinded placebo controlled studies where different strains of Lactobacillus have been used as a prophylactic to women suffering from recurrent urinary tract infections and bacterial vaginosis. Overall the studies do not display enough promising results to recommend the use of probiotics as a prophylax or cure..

The average length of life is increasing in the western world, hence the older population is growing. A common health problem among the elderly is malnutrition. Malnutrition causes decreased body strength and is associated with an amplified risk of infections, depression, fractures and increased mortality. The health care system is therefore faced with the challenge to prevent malnutrition among the growing population of elderly. This could be done by providing nutritious foods developed to meet the specific needs of elderly. The overall objective of this project was to test a healthy energy dense drink based on oats targeted for the elderly consumers as a strategy to prevent malnutrition among elderly.

Studiens syfte var att belysa faktorer betydelsefulla för kommunikationen i mötet med en demensdrabbad person utifrån sjuksköterskans perspektiv. I litteraturen framkom det att det var många faktorer som spelade in. En demensdrabbad person förlorar successivt den språkliga delen av kommunikationen och blir mer beroende av den "tysta" kommunikationen som exempel beröring. Studien gjordes som en litteratur studie med en kvalitativ ansats. I resultatet framkom faktorer som; fysisk kontakt, språk, mimik och bevaring av integritet.

Bröstcancer är den vanligaste cancerformen som drabbar kvinnor och en av behandlingsformerna är mastektomi. Förlusten av bröstet kan påverka kvinnans kroppsupplevelser och medföra sociala, emotionella och fysiologiska funktionsnedsättningar, därför har hon ett stort behov av både omvårdnad och emotionellt stöd. Syfte med litteraturstudien var att belysa kvinnors kroppsupplevelser efter en mastektomi. Metoden som valdes var en litteraturstudie med kvalitativ ansats vilken baserades på åtta vetenskapliga artiklar. Artiklarna analyserades med hjälp av Graneheim och Lundmans beskrivning av kvalitativ innehållsanalys ur ett manifest perspektiv.

Background: IT-security is included in the concept of information security, which considers all the security of handling information within an organisation. Good IT-security is about finding the right level of measurement, however, it is hard to implemement new IT-solutions in an organisation, particularly within the health care field, where sensitive information are handled daily. Lately the Swedish government, together with county- and city council, understand the importance of IT and health care. Carelink, an organisation of interest, is working actively for the presumption of benefit by using IT within the health care field. During spring 2006 the Swedish government introduced a national IT-strategy.

ABSTRACTBackground: The incidence of type 2 diabetes is increasing worldwide. Early intervention in form of medication, advice on self-management and lifestyle changes is necessary to avoid complications. Few Swedish studies are made on the diabetes nurse?s views on promotion of self- management.Purpose: To examine the diabetes specialist nurse?s experience of promoting self-management to patients with type 2 diabetes in primary care.  Method: A qualitative explorative study where eight diabetes nurses were interviewed. The interview guide consisted of semistructed questions concerning the promotion of self-management.Results: The diabetes nurse?s role in promoting patient self-management is significant, if resources are available in the form of adequate time for the patient and good team work.

Personer med funktionsnedsättningar stöter ofta på hinder i den offentliga miljön, till exempel trappor, höga trösklar, dålig skyltning eller belysning. Detta i sin tur påverkar individens förmåga att utföra dagliga aktiviteter och att vara delaktig i samhället. En pilotversion av ett kartläggningsinstrument användes för en bedömning av miljöhinder i ett urval faciliteter i en skånsk kommun. Av de 1215 miljöitems som bedömdes påträffades 298 miljöhinder. Generellt sett visar detta på relativt få miljöhinder vilket kan vara avgörande för tillgänglighet och därmed även påverka aktivitet och delaktighet positivt.
