If we can identify and point out areas of improvement in the financial counselling, we hope to raise the question and contribute with an improved financial counselling. Another positive effect we are hoping for is to improve the situation for the investors whereas all parties benefit from an improved portfolio selection.This study is conducted through a qualitative case study, where we used a deductive approach and collected our data through personal interviews.The conclusion that emerges is that the financial counselling could potentially be improved if financial advisors improve their knowledge in portfolio theory.The originality shapes through the opportunity to investigate a specific bank and because of that an opportunity to examine a specific case more thoroughly was created. Our thesis contributes with opening La?nsfo?rsa?kringar?s and other banks? eyes to how their financial counselling could be improved through new knowledge in portfolio theory.

Med en ökad äldre befolkning förväntas åldersstrukturen i det svenska samhället förändras. Som en följd därav ökar behovet av service, vård och omsorg varpå kommuner ställs inför utmaningen att tillhandahålla de äldres behov utifrån ett bättre resursutnyttjande. Till det kommer att den nya lagen om valfrihetssystem (LOV) möjliggör och förtydligar konkurrensutsättning av hemtjänst. Kan konkurrens enligt LOV leda till ett ökat resursutnyttjande och ökad effektivitet i den kommunala hemtjänstverksamheten? Syftet med denna uppsats är således att förklara hur konkurrensutsättning av hemtjänstverksamhet enligt valfrihetssystem påverkar kommuners effektivitet.

It is prohibited for companies to abuse their dominant position according to Article 82, if it affects trade. The essence of Article 82 is control of market power. The perfect competition results when supply and demand appoint the price and quantity of a product. Firms are encouraged to compete then it results in efficiency, quality products and lower prices.

This made them wonder what could be made to develop intoa better area with more amenities and a better place in the ranking of the magazine.

Background: Since the early 60?s, the CAPM or Capital Asset Pricing Model, has been an invaluable tool for assessing an asset's expected return, assuming that the asset is added to an already well-diversified portfolio of assets. CAPM theory assume that the unsystematic risk can be diversified and that the systematic, market-specific, risk is determined by the Beta value, from the Greek ?. An investor who takes big risks expect higher returns.One of the CAPM?s basic assumptions is that disruption in the market is not taken into account.

The intention of this thesis is, from a basic statistical viewpoint, to capture the relationship between the price of electricity and a sample of factors influencing the price. The thesis also aims at investigating whether knowledge about the relationship is useful when investing on Nord Pool. Tested factors are temperature, import, price of emission rights as well as a number of hydrological factors. The investigated period stretches from year 2000 until week 32 year 2007. The relevance of each factor was also evaluated yearly as well as for shorter periods in order to get a more comprehensive view of the relationship.

Today?s market for companies doing statistical surveys is a market consisting of mostly standardized methods where differentiating your company from the competitors is hard. Simultaneously both the society at large and technology in specific is under constant development and everything needs to be done at a faster pace with better precision. One of the companies on the market mentioned above is Tradewell Group AB. During 2008/2009 Tradewell has developed a new method for doing statistical surveys. The method named by Tradewell is called Cellphone Survey System, CSS and include using existing technology in a, for this market, unknown way.

In the current situation in the housing market and in particular the inner city much attention is directed towards achieved prices per square meter in sales. The indicator is as a principle an appropriate measure of the housing market?s health and development, and can to some extent be used to make approximations of the general economic health status of municipalities and counties. It occurs occasionally that questions about whether prices are based on fundamentals at all times.The thesis questions that very issue, not from a macro accompanying financial perspective but rather from a microeconomic perspective, where each tenant ownership in the study is a micro-object. Are the observed prices per square meter rational relative to housing cooperative?s assets or is there a lack in the observed prices anchoring the respective association's finances.

It is important to ensure and develop the Swedish model for riding schools, since the pupils at a Swedish riding school learn both to ride and to handle horses. There is a pronounced problem of stagnation and in some cases a reduced demand in several of the equine industry sectors including breeding with decreased coverings. The aim of this study was to cast light on how representatives from the horse industry looks at riding schools and their recruitment of horses in the next five years. The research issue was ?Will there be difficulties regarding horse recruitment in 2020 and in that case, what are the consequences?? The results of this work consist mostly of material from a workshop on how the riding school will be affected by reduced breeding in the future.

Finansiella offshorecentra, eller skatteparadis som de också kallas i dagligt tal, utvecklades som ett alternativ till mellankrigstidens hårt reglerade finansiella marknader. Skatteparadisen har ansetts utgöra räddningen för välbärgades rikedomar genom låga/avsaknad av skatter och en stark banksekretess, medan andra betraktar dem som platser där brottslingar och terrorister tillåts tvätta pengar och finansiera sin verksamhet genom förvaringsplats av kapital. Efter terroristattackerna mot USA den elfte september 2001 tillsammans med stora företagsskandaler som Enron och Parmalat har ett omfattande internationellt arbete med att stänga skatteparadis påbörjats med USA som initiativtagande nation.För att undersöka hur skatteparadisen fungerar och vilka incitament som kan finnas för att använda skatteparadis har jag ställt frågan: Vilka faktorer kan påverka kapitalflöden till skatteparadis och vilka konsekvenser kan dessa få?Vid besvarade av denna fråga har studien syftet att för det första utforma en modell över vilka faktorer som kan tänkas påverka kapitalflöden till skatteparadis. Därefter ämnar studien undersöka modellen för att se hur det ser ut i verkligheten.Med hänsyn till kunskapssynen kritisk rationalism har jag använt en multistrategisk metod, bestående av intervjuer och fallstudie tillsammans med kvantitativa skattesatser, för att besvara problemställningen.

The report addresses four main tasks, situation analysis of the company's total costs and transportation volume, cost analysis associated with the adjustment of the filling ratio, transport costs for the expansion and new expenses on a combination of expansion with new adjusted filling ratio.  Increasing transport costs for the company was the main reason for the request of the current situation analysis. A survey of the total cost with the actual volumes and transport provider Pricing is the basis of the analysis that extends from May 2006 to October 2008. The results show an increase in costs, both overall expense and per cubic meter of transported goods. Volume spreads, trends, and seasonal variations are according to our and the company?s expectations.

Cycle time has a direct influence on number of returnable crates needed and therefore a crucial parameter for cost structure and Pricing of the user fec in the pool system.For providing the growing market, number of crates has to increase as well as the utilization of existing crates. To accomplish this aim, cycle time for the whole supply chain has to be fully unravelled and understand.The purpose is to map cycle time and stock movements, to see how, where and when crates are being used in the supply chain. The goal is to make a method of cycle time calculation, together with suggestions of improving the pool system and decrease cycle time.The study has been a combination of qualitative and quantitative research and comprises the three biggest wholesalers in Sweden; ICA, Coop and Axfood. Furthermore have 65 grocery shops, connected to the wholesalers, been investigated and mapped.The study has come to a conclusion that cycle time for an average returnable crate is 19 days. The full-size and half-size crates have a bit longer cycle time, 21-22 days, while Dual Height-crates and shallow haif-size crates have 17-18 days.

Bakgrund: Internprissättning är ett välkänt verktyg för att värdesätta transaktioner av varor och tjänster inom en organisation. Frekvent förekommande syften med internprissättning är att kunna möjliggöra rättvis resultatbedömning av enheter samt att bidra till kostnadsmedvetenhet hos personal. Många ekonomiska styrverktyg, däribland internprissättning, är från början framtagna för att passa privata organisationer men trots detta har offentlig sektor under de senaste decennierna i allt större utsträckning anammat styrverktygen i hopp om en effektivare verksamhet med högre kvalitet. Trots att internprissättningen är ett populärt styrmedel saknas det empiriska studier kring hur Sveriges kommuner använder och påverkas av den.Syfte: Att kartlägga och beskriva hur Sveriges kommuner utformar och använder internprissättning samt att utveckla en modell för framtagande av målkongruent internprissättning i kommunerna.Metod: Studien har huvudsakligen genomförts med en kvantitativ forskningsansats i form av en enkätstudie. Enkäten skickades ut till Sveriges samtliga 290 kommuner och en svarsfrekvens på 37 procent erhölls.

Forskarna Carlin och Finch utförde år 2009 en studie på australiensiska börsnoterade företag för att undersöka om diskonteringsräntor, vilka används vid en nedskrivningsprövning, sätts opportunistiskt. Studien genomfördes genom att de visade på förekomsten av avvikelser mellan diskonteringsräntan som företagen redovisat och en av forskarna estimerad teoretisk diskonteringsränta beräknad genom the Capital Asset Pricing Model [CAPM].
